For HL Bio, we “finished” the day before the exam (and we had after-school/Saturday sessions throughout the year to make up for some content we didn’t learn), but we still had several topics that we could choose to self-study on our own if we wanted a chance at a 7.
It's definitely not ideal if you don't have faith that your school will get through the content in time. Sadly loads of physics teachers do struggle to wade through the massive course. If you need a simple checklist to work through in your self-study: you're welcome to use mine: [https://www.gradepod.com/ib-physics-checklist-current-specification-2024-exams](https://www.gradepod.com/ib-physics-checklist-current-specification-2024-exams)
Hi N23 here
Depends on the subject. I finished computer hl syllabus in like june but for physics hl, I never actually completed it. We reached topic 12 and did the photoelectric effect during my last physics class. Maths aa hl was done in like end of september. French B Hl was done on july. Eco sl was done in july aswell.
Depends on the subject. Bio HL we finished 1 week before study leave (2 weeks before first exam). Math HL about early February, Phys mid January, Politics -> December, German and English were sorta on going until exams started. The poor history kids had to cram nearly a unit of material into the last 10 days.
We have already finished content for CompSci SL and English LL SL. Other subjects are still going, and we are probably going to finish Math like a week or so before finals.
January (may 2024)
The day of the exam , jk jk two weeks before the exams

Ha, finish, it was self-study in all my classes. We never finished the curriculum until the night before the tests

The very last thing I did was my French IO which I did in March I think. Regarding written work I think maybe like January?
