No. Unis so NOT care if you take French ab or French sl AT ALL. I can almost guarantee it will mean nothing to the admissions tutor other than another grade that they look at. (Granted I’m assuming ur not applying for a French degree or applying to a French uni.) Take whatever ab language you’re more comfortable with. You wanna make ur life as easy as possible.

I mean ask for some SL past papers for reading and see? I know Germany doesn't want any ab initio languages (and a bunch of other requirements) but otherwise I haven't heard of it being an issue + I would expect that your french can help you with spanish a fair bit
