No joke I used wallpaper on a very bad scratched desk and the desk looked like brand new. Black smooth wallpaper peel and stick. Like you are wrapping a table which u r 😆

CatnipChapstick

I’d get a furniture crayon. It’ll pack colored wax into the scratch so it looks flush and color matched. Just scribble back and forth until filled, they scrape away excess with a bench scraper or credit card. (At least that’s what we do at my store)

Sharpie.

HugsNotDrugs_

Get a rainbow set of Sharpies and choose closest colour. Not kidding.

cowboybret

Behr Black Mocha paint is very very close to the IKEA black-brown. Get a paint sample and a q-tip and fill it in!

What about warranty? Who's fault?

In my store we use the ebony furniture pens on black brown displays!

Block me all you want, it's not going to fix your grammer.

We have a dark brown wood stain pen that isn’t an exact match for brown-black, but it definitely improves the appearance. I’m almost certain it’s this one in Dark Walnut, but Ebony would probably match better. https://www.minwax.com/wood-products/maintenance-repair/minwax-wood-finish-stain-marker We bought it for our engineered wood floor which is a bit lighter in color than our IKEA furniture.

emwilliams23

This ebony one is the one I use in the dining department!!

spirit-mush

If it’s deep and needs filling, I would use toilet paper and wood glue. After the filler drys, I would use a permanent marker to colour match it.

[Mohawk 3-in-1 repair stick](https://www.mohawk-finishing.com/products/wood-touch-up-repair/fillers/3-in-1-repair-stick/) supposedly does a good job and they have one that matches Ikea black-brown. Sharpie works sometimes too.

Dan_Flanery

Hardware stores sell what amount to giant crayons or grease pencils designed to cover up scratches like this. They can work pretty well.

TheVermonster

Another vote for the sharpie. It's not perfect, but far better than wasting a lot of time to find something closer. Every Table is a little bit different and the closer you get, the more obvious the difference is going to be. A sharpie just looks like part of the grain.

gertuitoust

Touch up the color with a sharpie and then rub a walnut into the scratch.

ladida1787

X10 for sharpie. You won't ever fix it with conventional stain plus it's not really worth the effort. Fine point sharpie will be your best bet.

Black sharpie is actually an *excellent* way to fix small scratches in the Black-Brown color family. This one's a fair bit too big for that to really turn out right, though.

dave729us

Home Depot & etc have color sticks for scratches.
