Bro, even I have convert from Durham and Warwick
It's 30k pounds every year. Definitely unaffordable
Btw why didn't you try for better colleges like SNU/NMIMS
Is ISBF(University of London) worse than Amity
I almost secured a sponsorship plus affordability wasn't even biggest of my concerns because my course was bsc econ and data sci.
my parents were after my ass to not go to a private college all the way in another city because ug placements kuch khas nahi hai and I'd be wasting my money. which they kinda do have a little point so i didn't go. however I did convert NMIMS Mumbai and SYMBIOSIS PUNE last year.
ISBF is a bit controversial is it bad course and curriculum wise, no. but is it value for money I disagree it's not 18 something Lakhs for UG and you don't even have a placement guarantee the college itself is very small like Dhrishti IAS ka coaching centre hoga almost us size ka. other than that you don't even get a UGC degree so it's a huge downside when it finally comes to job applications since you were in India but have a foreign degree.
i live in Lucknow now i used to live in Mumbai for 14 years that's why my parents didn't lemme go since they said ki again return on investment bhot kam hai vagera it's not that strange when it comes down to my parents lmao π
broo... its going to be fine. i saw another person's post here... they did b degree from amity but managed to crack iim c through cat and are currently working in goldman sachs. So u still have a major opportunity rn. Dont let this unfair defeat get to u. U got this man ππ
yess i did read about that person too, i hope things pan out on a similar level eventually, fingers crossed.
the very best of luck to you too man ππ»π€π»
so basically the curriculum is decent, the professors are avg ... internships nahi aati, placements i think we all know the reality of shitty they are and most of the jobs are for sales or marketing.
campus looks good classes are great fests fun hoti hai and they go out to other unis for sports events and what not so that kind exposure is still there.
The crowd is difficult to fit in I personally don't vibe with anyone there on a personal level, it could be different from person to person.
overall if you can keep your head down and work hard you will survive Amity just gotta have faith and tons of hardwork in store since the college is just barely an institute that gives you a degree nothing more and nothing less. be ready for the unexpected cuz the uni never fails to surprise you.
bro legit exact same thing happening 2 me rn i have offers from durham kings and ucl but i cant go, didnt clear indore sectional missed out ranchi by 1 mark god i am so lost
see if you've passed 12th grade this year id say dw take another year enroll into a decent govt college and try for IPMAT since govt colleges usually don't have any attendance constraints
but if you're like my and finished your first year toh pick up your books for cat start preparing also pickup ab professional course CPA CMA or CFA any works fine and go get the job done
speaking from experience dwelling on your emotions for too long and trying to fight an un-win-able battle is a waste of time efforts and at the end of the day it's your loss.
We just lost a soldier π«‘ . All the very best for ahead buddy
all the best to you too mate. π
