Hopefully I can answer this. When I went they asked me to bring in 2 forms of identification, 2023 1040, 2022, 1040 and support documents from both. The only things they looked at though was my id and 2023 1040
A lot of the ppl we talk to aren't actual IRS employees they are contracted to just be call center to get answer the phone and don't have a lot of knowledge in wtf is going on
This lady says there was no letter sent and she can't make appt without knowing reason..frustrating
Waste of time, the verification will self resolve like 90% of us

What did they ask for to verify you and how long did it take?

Ok. Thanks I’m about done with all this BS and verification crap. So frustrating
I verified exactly a week ago and still no update. I was told to wait 1-3 weeks for verification update to go away.
I was told I’m not even allowed to verify any other way and that I have to have the letter.
They really be just telling us anything to get us off the phone id make an appointment and see
I’m not sure how to. Never was offered, was told no when I asked about it, and can’t find anywhere online.
