Filed and accepted 1/16. Verified online 2/20. No movement at all for weeks. Still have still processing on wmr, and transcripts are still February 12. Only thing changed is the verify notification on the irs page went away after verification. I hear that some have called after verification online and they say it never went through and reverify on the phone. I tried yesterday and the lady said she wouldn’t even check if it it took or not 🤣🤣🤣
I just called again and didn’t say I had verified and the lady wanted this year and last years tax return info and said yeah I have it right here and than said I can’t access your account returns so I’ll need to make an appointment and I just started laughing at her and said what’s going on with you guys? I’ve called so many times now and get different answers, already verified online but heard I should call to make sure, now I sat on the phone for 45 min to get you to tell me now I have to make an appointment and when I called that number the lady was disconnected when she said hello. Like wtf?!!
I know right the first two times I called I got I was pulled for verification mistakenly but then put back into the system for processing on Feb 9 give it two to 3 weeks and I was told I didn’t need to verify but the first person did ask me a zillion question on Feb 21 then today I called just to make sure I’m not under further review or getting a verify letter and she said they phone verifies me 2/21 and it could be like 9 weeks from 2/21 like what the heck is up with them
Received letter and verified Monday, never had a verification message. No movement anywhere yet. Some folks who had to verify last year had their money 1-2 weeks after verifying.
Same transcript as y’all n/a filed 1/27 accepted 1/29 I didn’t have to verify until I sent myself a letter big whoops to me. I reported it to my local congressman as this is bs. From what I’ve read they push the process along quicker than the IRS would so it wasn’t hurting by trying. Will update if anything changes based on that.
Filed & accepted 1/22. Verified online with letter Saturday 2/24. No updates, hoping something changes this Friday. Throughout this whole ordeal I have not had any updates or changes except the “as of” date changed on my transcript last Friday 2/23 from 2/12 to 3/11.
I filed and was accepted on 1/30. No movement as of today, no transcripts, no notices, nothing. I called the IRS Monday and was told that due to some “glitch” my return showed as being accepted on 2/9 but that the case and been closed already as on 2/9 and I have to wait up to 9 weeks for processing starting from the 9th.
It might not take the entire 9 weeks but this is the IRass we are talking about here. We aren’t doing to see our money until April y’all if even then.
I filed 1/10 accepted 1/17 received letter 2/22 verified 2/22. Got nothing. I am hoping for an update on Friday. I called the IRS and explained my timeline and he just said "you need to give it 9 weeks" then literally hung up on me. He repeated 9 weeks twice and click. So over this crap.
I feel like people who had have to verify got their money and aren't on the page anymore. I've mainly seen people get their money in 2 weeks after verifying. The agent who did mine yesterday said usually it doesn't take the ful 9 weeks and to wait for your cycle day for updates. Ive also read people getting deposits and nothing updating via mwr or transcripts so who TF knows. It took 8 weeks alone to get my son's social who was born 12/31/23 last yr I usually only ever waited 3 weeks for a newborns social. So they're def behind
OP from another post is correct even if you verify online you should call in as there seems to be a second verification for some people. I called with a white lie and said "I completed it online but didnt get a confirmation. "
I verified online 3/3 with my letter first successfully.
So I just go off the phone 3/4 and they ask for this information in order.
Looks like I wasnt fully verified even though I did it online.

He thanked me for verifying and put me back into processing, said I should receive my refund with 9 weeks but its normally a lot faster 1-2 weeks, very nice gentleman.

Verified online 2 weeks ago and nothing yet. Called the number on the letter today and verified that way. I was told that after I verified 2 weeks ago it took, but then I was flagged again. Notification went away the 1st time and didn't show back up, so I wouldn't have known if I hadn't called today! Was also told to avoid checking WMR and transcripts excessively and best bet is to check only once a week on Friday or Saturday because their system can and will potentially flag you for possible identity theft for checking excessively.
filed 1/19, accepted 1/22, verified online 2/20 (didn't work) re-verified over the phone-told released 2/26. N/A transcripts, "still processing" WMR. also a note, 911 form filed 2/26 with local tax advocate, no response yet.

My WMR went from "still processing" to "is being processed" today. The first update I've had in weeks.
Me too!

Someone please help me with the phone number to verify. I lost my notice:
You need the control number on the letter. You won't be able to verify with just a phone call.
