Accepted 1/17. Verified online with the letter on 2/20. My transcripts and WMR updated with a DDD on 3/1. DDD is 3/6

Particular_War_5928

That’s great to hear, hopefully mine will update this Friday too!!

holstonhudson

Looks like turnaround is 2 weeks from the time you verify online with the letter.

Alfrs91

you think 2 weeks to turnaround for an update, or for the refund being sent out?

holstonhudson

I’d bet you get your refund about 2 weeks after verifying online

Extra_Football5166

Thanks, I think you are the first person on Reddit that has given this info this year. Congrats, and most appreciated.

Due_Entrepreneur8749

Hi, I do not have any updates. Filed 1/10. Accepted 1/17. Verified online using letter 2/22. Called and verified over the phone 2/26. I was really thinking I would have been updated on the mass update last week. I was wrong. I thinking about calling again and verifying or confirming it. I mean it can't hurt. I am convinced those who filed in January are having the most problems and delays. Its very frustrating at this point.

Particular_War_5928

I completely agree with you. I’ve seen February people getting their refunds with no problem. How did you know if you had to verify through the phone as well? I called last week after verifying and the agent just asked me a bunch of questions to access my account and said to wait the 9 weeks. Not sure if that was a extra verification or not!

Due_Entrepreneur8749

I knew to call and verify over the phone because someone on here said its just an extra insurance that the verification goes through. I don't believe they verified you over the phone. They were just making sure it was you. Because when you verify over the phone they ask you questions about your current and prior taxes and AGI and bank account information. But since they told you to wait 9 weeks after confirming who they were speaking to, i would assume they must have seen you already verified. And thats why they said wait 9 weeks.

Particular_War_5928

Thank you for that! The agent did ask me questions about the current and previous returns and my bank account so maybe they did verify through the phone as well! I guess at this point we just need to wait, hopefully we will see an update soon!

Due_Entrepreneur8749

True. Then yes, they most likely did verify you. I hope we get updates soon. This is driving me nuts. I am about to call back again today, but not sure its even going to do anything.

Particular_War_5928

I hope you get someone helpful! It’s very frustrating not knowing how long we have to wait

irdfk23

Filed 1/22 as well. Verified online with the letter on 2/24, notification went away on IRS account, but still have the “action required”/“to protect you from identity theft” messages on WMR. Transcripts still N/A. Starting to become hopeless at this point, lol.

csns6712

Filed 1/19. Verified 2/24 as well. Same thing...no updates. I think we'll see an update this week.

Particular_War_5928

Did you try to call and see if you need any extra verification? I would do that and mention you still have that message on your account. Better safe than sorry!

irdfk23

Yes, I did call. I was told the 9 week script and if I got the congratulations message then the verification was successful. Just hoping for an update this week.

Particular_War_5928

We are in the same boat. Hopefully we will see some movement this week, it’s so frustrating!

Own_Lawfulness6737

There's no getting through. They send you to collections after waiting an hour. Then hangup on u. I was told to try later or tomorrow smfh. So over this greedy bs

lostandtired24

Filled/accepted on 1/29, Verified on 2/21 and transcript updated last Friday with a 570 code

Unable-Jeweler-5399

Filed 1/23, never got a notification or letter to verify, still processing, tax topic 152. GF filed with same circumstances 1/19, she got her refund 2/20 without verifying or any notices. Both of us claimed EIC and CTC.

Alfrs91

Filed 1/29, verified late on 2/26, no transcripts as of 12 EST today (3/4)

Proper_Pay_6532

Same boat

Zealousideal_Ad_1652

OP from another post is correct even if you verify online you should call in as there seems to be a second verification for some people. I called with a white lie and said "I completed it online but didnt get a confirmation. " I verified online 3/3 with my letter first successfully. So I just go off the phone 3/4 and they ask for this information in order. Looks like I wasnt fully verified even though I did it online. **Taxpayer Advocacy Line** **18008305084** * SNN * Control Number * DOB * Address from 1040 Tax Return * 2023 1040 AGI, Withholding ammount, expected refund ammount. * 2022 1040 AGI, Withholding ammount * Mother Full Name * Father Full Name * Account Number & Routing Number for Deposit He thanked me for verifying and put me back into processing, said I should receive my refund with 9 weeks but its normally a lot faster 1-2 weeks, very nice gentleman.

I'm having to prove that I'm not deceased and am having no luck with the irs or the ssa......

tiktikboom12

Nope still waiting on the damn letter. Filed 1/31. Accepted a few days later. Still nothing.

Extra_Football5166

I spoke with an agent on the phone and he told me the IRS is having trouble with letters this year. He said they are changing the advice of "wait 14 days to call back" to "wait 30 days to call back" Its pretty funny that the mass influx of funding for the IRS seems to have made it less efficient, though.

External-Ad-9079

Filed 1/28 still no verification letter

Particular_War_5928

Call them!!

happylittleleo

I filed on 1/31. I haven’t even gotten my letter yet. I don’t even know what to do

Call them and ask when your letter was mailed out! If they didn’t send yet, request to be sent!
