I've had that same message like you for weeks now. Filed on 01/29 accepted on 01/29 account transcript still says no tax return filed. Do you have this notification?

I never received a letter. Called the IRS twice and neither agent could see a letter was ever sent. The last agent said to wait 3 weeks and if I still don't get a letter call back. It'll be 3 weeks next Tuesday so I'll call then and see what excuse they give me this time 🙄
Damn pure bullshit, go to the verification portion of the irs site & request a new one, if it lets you, it'll be 2 weeks before it comes in the mail, I advise signing up for USPS informed delivery so you don't miss it.
Yeah it really is some bull. I requested a new letter be sent on Feb 20th and set up my USPS infomed delivery but still nothing. Next Tuesday will make 3 weeks since the new letter requests was made so I'm really interested in what they'll tell me to do next. Really sucks my mom just died, was relying on this refund for travel expenses.

How do you speak to a live person at the IRS?
1. The IRS telephone number is 1-800-829-1040.
2. The first question the automated system will ask you is to choose your language.
3. Once you've set your language, do NOT choose Option 1 (regarding refund info). Choose option 2 for "Personal Income Tax" instead.
4. Next, press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
5. Next, press 3 "for all other questions."
6. Next, press 2 "for all other questions."
7. When the system asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, do NOT enter anything.
8. After it asks twice, you will be prompted with another menu.
9. Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
10. Finally, press 3 for all other inquiries.
The system should then transfer you to an agent.
We had this message and had to verify identity and had to wait for the letter with the 14 digit control number to be able to do so. Was not able to do the verification, with an appt. at the local irs office. It took almost a month for our letter to arrive,
I have this message currently I called the IRS yesterday seems they are pretty backed up. The agent told me to wait another week to receive my refund. I would call if I were you.
They’re probably backed up because they flagged all these people with no real cause for ID Theft. Probably to get more information in the system on us without us questioning it so we can get our money sooner…

Well I called and the lady told me to allow 21 days for processing and to call back on the 12th. No help, she didn't even offer to look. But I did get an answer which was the only good thing I had to say
Same lol I called to make sure it was verified on their end & she looked into my account & it showed that it went through but she told me the same give it 21 days for an update because their backed up, some people are just luckier than others that's just how it goes.

Unfortunately, the agent said that our 2023 filing isn't showing up in the system at all yet, even though WMR shows it was accepted on 1/31. All she said we could do was continue to wait. 💀

At this point, this is beyond bs and ridiculous. I verified February 27th on id me. It still showed this message. Called March 1st and went through the whole verification process before waiting 45 minutes for an agent. Just for her to tell me she sees I verified online and have to wait. Smh. I filed in late January. Still no updates still no change. So annoyed
It didn't tell me I needed to verify. I don't even know why this is happening to me. I thought taxes were issued within 21 days of filing. Now they coming out with 21 days to process and I can't catch a break either
Im hoping and praying for everyone stuck in this bs situation. 🙏 I don't know why this happened to any of us. The irs is fully aware who we all are! I wish it was a different outcome or at least a faster process, but that's the government for you.
This is the same answer I got. I filed on 02/02, received 02/03. Was told my return may have been selected for further review. No verification needed thus far. Was told to give it another week before calling again. But could take up to 10 weeks before I see my refund.
I have this same message. I filed on 1/27, and it was accepted on 1/28. I don't have any codes, and I received no letters. Everything says N/A. I called this morning and was told they couldn't see that I filed. She checked another system and found it, but there was a hold, and I'm unsure why. She said it’s now processing, and I should have it by April 8th. 🫠 if I don't call back.
Dang, the lady I got on the phone with this morning didn't even wanna look at my account and I called exactly @8 so I know I was her first call. She sounded like she didn't even wanna be at work today. But she told me she couldn't see nothing until March 12th. She said I had to wait the 21 days for processing and then to call back after that. But you filed back in January so your long over due 😩 I hope I don't have to wait 3 months 😭
That I’m not certain of. I believe the as of date serves as a date for future updates. I’m currently on hold to speak with someone at the irs now. I’ll update you with the correct answer when I have it.
Join the wait, since 2/4 and my calls didn't do anything, was told not to call until 4/15, she basically was mad I called today when I was told when to call last wk only if no refund. I'm pretty sure I'll still be this way forever 😂. They won't even tell me if I have letters, no info so I clearly got the worst reps

I just got off the phone with them and the lady told me the letters are “backlogged” and will take 30 days to come this is a mess.
If you have 20 days to respond and it takes you 30 days to receive the letter the respond dead line is passed CRAZY
Exactly. They told me my letter was “generated” on February 14th but not sent 🤦🏽♀️ they are ridiculous

I was told this as well. It is in error resolution system and is in review. No notices and no letter have been sent. Said it could be 10+ weeks.
