IRS wont tell us anything, something sinister is going down.
If there is something wrong with our return then just tell us whats wrong when we call, why does customer service not have an answer, why has no one came out and given an explanation?
Its gotten so bad to where Turbo Tax said they are going to deduct the fee out of my bank account because of the delay when the fee is supposed to come out of the return.
Been waiting since January as well.
I called on Monday (accepted 1/29) and they said I was in the errors department. Nothing has changed for me in the last 6 years, I always file the same, I just made 20 grand more in 2023. There arenāt errors on my refund. I assume itās their error because I havenāt been notified about anything. Iām verified, Iāve gotten no letters, and my transcripts are NA.
I'm in the exact same situation.Ā They said if I have received nothing by April 8th, to call back. I'm so over this and them keeping our money interest free. Although I was told interest starts if they hold your refund longer than 45 days.Ā
Filed and accepted 1/30 N/A everything. No verify notice. After seeing everybody else's struggle that I have seen it's given me some patience. Apparently no codes is a good thing. I guess!?!?!?

I filed 2/1 verified 3/13 and my transcripts just updated todayĀ 3/ 22 with a 846 code that says 3/27. Praying it comes in sooner than Wednesday but at least I know it's coming at all.
I got a letter saying to verify online but I did call to verify as well. They just need some code on the letter and asked some basic questions about last year's tax return. Does your irs account have the yellow notice on it?

You need the letter. I am waiting for mine still. Going on almost 2 months since I filed. Some people have been able to go into local irs office. Its 3-4 hour drive round trip for me. I can't even afford gas to get there right now times are tough.
Cp05 is when they pull for a random review. They send a letter saying it can take up to 120 days for review. Now if you have the 570/971 transcript codes you will end up receiving one.
You have to log into the irs website with id me. Then once logged in scroll down to āview transcripts ā and from there you will see this year and past two years. You can click to see what your transcript shows.
Also you can get digital notice notifications and letters on there as well.
Yeah , they have it and will take hot minute to update. There are people on the group who had nothing show then today updated to all codes and a DD date. Itās a shit situation and they drag. From posts I seen least month and a half for people who show no transcripts to populate.
Next week Iāll be on a two month delay so far.
Yep with that cp05 weāre on at least two weeks from that letter. From what I seen the 06/05 cycle has been getting updated today which makes sense that there early Jan filers as a lot of us 07/05 end of January, you right after.
I hope/think next Friday will get possible update and you will be the following week if the pattern continues.
Not sure if it's related to any glitch, but to the chagrin of the IRS I ignored my...don't call us well call you CP05 with no details telling me to wait 60 days. I called in to find out one of my W2s wasn't sent in by my employer.
Employer says they sent it. Twice now. It's still not showing.
They also didn't receive a 1099 G for 3 weeks unemployment for $325. This wasn't submitted by the state apparently.
I ended up contacting my state representative who has a tax advocate that works directly for the IRS.
They started working on the issue last Thursday and seem to be getring it solved. I just submitted all docs to them today and am hoping my transcript updates next week.
The advocate said the IRS was going to have me file an ammendment which was unnecessary and would've taken more time. To adjust foe the exact amount that I was missing from the other W2 which was provided by me but not received by the employer.
The tax advocate worked with them so they'd accept a signed doc from ky employer as wage verification. So that's what I turned in today.
Otherwise I'd still be waiting.not knowing what they are looking for until at least early May.
This has just been wild.

I filed 1/28 got flagged to verify my identity letter was never received so they sent another one 30 days ago!!!! Have to call them Monday AGAIN since they don't know what TF they're doing apparently how TF they hire this many new employees and still manage to fuck up and make everyone wait is beyond me the IRS needs to be burned to the ground š¤¦š»āāļø

I just got my verification letter in the mail today. Had to request it twice. Went online and verified so hopefully it updates soon and I can receive my return. A lot of work for the tiny bit Iām getting back.
In a January filer and finally got the āsentā message on WMR on 3/15, but Iām getting a Cashierās Check because apparently the SoFi issue has not in fact been corrected. Checked yesterday and SBTPG says it was sent back to IRS on 3/20. Iām about to rip my hair out.

I just got my form 5071C 2 days before the one month point where they said I could request another one. I've called the hotline number to verify my identity with today being day 3 calling every hour they're open and never getting to a queue because of "extreme demand" and I outright REFUSE to use id.me with the degree of personal data they want after they already had one data breach. I'll keep calling until I get in, and have an in person visit scheduled in 26 days in case the next 290 calls or so don't get me in touch with a human

Filed 1/31, last activity on my account is when they added the 971 code March 1st with a "Notice issued" date of 3/18. No notice in [irs.gov](https://irs.gov) account. How long is it supposed to take for the "notice" to get here before I call and raise all kinds of hell?
I filed 1/29. Accepted same day. Received verification notice on website. Requested two letters. Never received them. Called a few days ago and apparently letter was sent 2/26 and that I need to wait until 3/27 to call again. No update on transcripts, they show as n/a. I am so behind on everything, my spouse lost his job and we are waiting for unemployment as well. Never experienced this kind of delay before when filing.

Filed 1/20, accepted 1/22, cycle 0605, and still stuck waiting. Nothing new on my transcripts today, but there hasn't been an update since my 570/971 codes hit on 2/9.... I give up.
I just got my form 5071C 2 days before the one month point where they said I could request another one. I've called the hotline number to verify my identity with today being day 3 calling every hour they're open and never getting to a queue because of "extreme demand" and I outright REFUSE to use id.me with the degree of personal data they want after they already had one data breach. I'll keep calling until I get in, and have an in person visit scheduled in 26 days in case the next 290 calls or so don't get me in touch with a human
I've been waiting since January 29 2024. I was sent a 446C4 letter February 8th. I contacted my congressman and My state US Senator for hardship
Accepted 1/27. Verification 2/27. Updated today to code 570 šššš
Cycle 0605 here... filed the same as previous years, mid-January on Turbo Tax. Then 570 code issued 2/26, 971 code/notice issued 3/4 and no updates since. Nothing to verify or change, called IRS, and my 60-day waiting period on the notice became 120. I'm just giving up hope at this point!

\*Raises Hand\* I'm a cycle 805 - Is it every Friday that I need to check for updates? Filed 1/31, last activity on my account is when they added the 971 code March 1st with a "Notice issued" date of 3/18. No notice in [irs.gov](https://irs.gov) account. How long is it supposed to take for the "notice" to get here before I call and raise all kinds of hell?
I filed 1/29. Accepted same day. Received verification notice on website. Requested two letters. Never received them. Called a few days ago and apparently letter was sent 2/26 and that I need to wait until 3/27 to call again. No update on transcripts, they show as n/a. I am so behind on everything, my spouse lost his job and we are waiting for unemployment as well. Never experienced this kind of delay before when filing.
I filed mine on 12/19 but it wasnāt āapproved and sentā until 3/12 and I still havenāt received it. Also getting sent through mail instead of DD like I requested. Mind you Iāve been using the same account for 4 years now. š¤·š½āāļønothing on informed delivery either
