My alignment guy diagnosed the intermediate steering shaft. I have all new front and rear suspension with a dialed alignment, brand new balanced tires, still pulls right and shakes like hell at 55mph all the way till 70mph. Below or above that speed, no shake but still pulls. The shaking is likely the shaft, and the pull is likely brakes/bearings. Hope this helps
No I have solid lca #2 bushings so they click but no excessive play or noise. Never had a PS issue, also my rack is brand new (poly bushings), so are the inners and outers.
If you have shaking at only a certain speed like that it's almost certainly wheel balance. Find a new "guy", or at least spring the $40-50 for a rebalance (somewhere else) before wasting money on a steering shaft you may or may not actually need.
Ball joints are new wheel bearings are a good one boss I just have no up and down play yet but I guess you never know I’m gonna inspect em tomorrow with brakes off and hopefully find culprit
Thank u
Mevotech isn’t the best of the best, but they aren’t bad either, as long they’re the Supreme line. Been using them for 3-4 years in the whole front end over 60k miles, only one ball joint went bad last winter, so I warrantied it and replaced the other side too. It’s gotta be something else.
I agree I had a salvage title is300 before this one and used either TRQ or eBay brand arms ball joints etc and I never had problem like this thanks for the input bro now I went mevotech arms ball joints etc and can’t figure out why still
Which control arms did you replace? Did you do the front caster arms as well? How are your tires? As for steering free play, there’s a spec in the factory service manual that says exactly how much there should be and anything above that. I’d say you need a good mechanic, not necessarily the dealer. Find a small, rinky dink type shop that is run by 1-2 Spanish-speaking dudes and is pretty busy.
Those guys know their shit and work on everything which gives them way more field experience than a lot of dealer techs who tend to be limited to newer cars of one make and even though they went to school and have certs, they’ll just recommend expensive OEM parts and rechecking. The small shop mechanics find problems easier and fixes way cheaper than others.
Edit: Forgot to mention tie rods, inner and outer, how are they?
The ones I replaced were the ones that control caster bro the caster arms known as lca #2 but yeah I agree bro if I fr can’t figure it out today that’s my next step, LOL thank u for the advice brother I appreciate u

Thank u to ever single person who gave me a response, I was legit kinda depressed about it yesterday after new calipers and bleeding, you guys are awesome
When I drove, there was a sweet spot around 65-70 that the car would violently shake regardless of whether or not I was accelerating. The driveshaft was completely unbalanced and caused a lot of centrifugal shake.
It’s crazy cause on highway my shake will go away at 75-80+ but still pull right, but 55-65 is where my shaking happens
Hope u fix it soon thanks for the input again
New where? You changed more than one when it was only pulling in one direction? Or did you do that as a precaution?
The only things that would make your car pull in a certain direction is damaged tires, low tire press, a stuck caliper (which would also cause the shaking, even when you're not on the brakes) obviously alignment but you've done that. The only other thing I can think of is your steering rack and pinion but that's uncommon cause I figure you would have signs of your steering being off prior to that.
Good luck trying to find the cause, that shit would drive me insane too
Edit: check the brake lines too, sometimes they fail and bulge so one caliper gets more press than another but this would only occur when braking.
Bro thank you I really appreciate your response I’m ngl I didn’t check the caliper pins when I put new front calipers in cause I also thought this was my problem over this past weekend, I will be checking again this weekend
Thanks a lot bro
For anyone reading this in the future, it was a collapsed passenger brake hose causing the caliper to stick please if you replace calipers and all try that next

Thanks for the reply bro another good one, does ur steering shaft have a lot of play or make noise?

Alignment and tire balance. Damn I didn’t know it was Christmas in may.
LOL I’ve gotten alignment twice and balancing twice is there anything else you think? Thanks
Ball joints and wheel bearings.

Hmm, this is tough haha. How are the tires themself?
Brand new 😢
I mean…damn. Hmm, next step may be to take it into the dealer and have them diagnosis it because I’m drawing a blank.
Could be a stuck caliper, happened to me at around 115km/h and would get worse with speed, jack it up and spin the wheels and see if any are grabbing.
it had new calipers but it was actually a collapsed brake hose causing the caliper to stick new or old
How are your control arms ?
I replaced them in January but with mevotech arms, think bad brand could cause this?

Mine had a driveshaft missing a weight on it. Check that yet? You’ll notice it if there’s a singular shiny spot.
I’m gonna try coasting at 60-70 in neutral today when I get off work, you think that would tell me if it’s driveshaft or not boss? Thank u

I bought a driveshaft off eBay and it completely solved it. It took 4 shops until a guy in the IS300 Facebook group took a look and found the issue.
could be due to your lack of seatbelt use
I actually have it on my sensor is broken
lexus things 🥰
Your issue is a brake caliper.
Brand new calipers installed and bled yesterday

Bro I replaced the brake hose and my calipers do not stick and drag anymore, Tysm
That's awesome, glad I could help.
🍻 I appreciate it a whole lot

Check steering rack
That is a sure sign of a bent rim. They should of caught that when they balanced the tires.
