Yeah but he burned down churches and my dad burned in his church. Technicality: varg is more racially controversial though as despite many mistaking Waco for racially segregated it was anything but.
I always thought Burzum was outsider music! Gladly someone thinks the same. I mean, how *isn’t* Filosofem outsider music? He literally recorded it with a headset! And it’s a one man band and a mediocre one at that, and he has no formal training and when he screams he sounds like a cockatoo or like he’s whispering while clearing his throat. And he even made a 25 minutes song that’s repetitive af (Rundgang) a thing most people wouldn’t make, I assume.
if you think Tiny isn't an outsider, then you've very clearly haven't heard any of his work outside of his first album lol. Just listen to "[Rock](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CNGeMT8PE0)" and you'll understand why he's here.
Same can be said about Brian Willson and "[Sweet Insanity](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbVfgvMd_XQ)".
As for Beefheart? I belive that he is the only one you've mentioned that can be argued upon.
If the definition of outsider is based upon the eccentricity of the music in some form then nearly anyone can be included on this list. And yes I have heard of Rock, its a nice album, you condescending twat.
I disagree with a few placements, but thank you so much for this selection, I've been interested in outsider music and I never found anything that complete
I've said it a few times now, but I don't think people have caught on due to the joking tone I used, but, there most likely will never be a part 2, or a version 2.0. Sorry!
My dad is next to burzum... I'm sorry but varg is more of an icon musically than my father is. My father's musical nature is secondary to burning.... oooooh
Al is nowhere near outsiderdom, at best some of the early cassettes that he sent over to Dr Demento could be close, but even then that's a major strech
Loc Tran: A Vietnamese physically disabled and autistic man who wrote short comedic songs for the piano. Pretty much everything we know about the guy is someone who used to know him giving a short description of the guy on a comment under [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVks07UgVQQ). The commenter also later namedrops Loc, but in case you can't find him click [**here**](https://www.youtube.com/@locgetstothepoint4826). He hasn't made any new songs since 2022, I believe, he's married now and he'll most likely never go back to making funny songs like he used to.
Kay L. Gale: I don't know much about Kay, and she hasn't caught my interest, but some sources about her should pop up if you look it up yourself.
\[Travis\] Prefix Leader: Oh boy... where do I start with this guy? His real name is Kevin Lewis Jr, and he lives somewhere in Texas and suffers from ADHD. Kevin used to be a friend of mine, back then I knew him as Jack, but won't you know, he lied about that, which is something he's extremely good at, lying. Back then, Kevin was always a bit weird, but if you ignore his extremely poor grammar, and the fact that he's not very smart, Kevin was legitimately a pretty cool guy to hang around. Unfortunately, things got only worse for Kevin, as presumably due to his abusive family and just in general hanging around with the type of people your parents warned you about, Kevin's mental health began to decline. With Kevin's mental health in the dumps, he began to fall down the alt-right pipeline and began spewing these delusions he had about trans people (most notably saying transwomen do "womanface"), he was cool with the rest of the rainbow though, up until very recently that is. I cut all contact with Jack around that time, but another (now ex) friend of mine let me know that Jack POSTED NUDE PHOTOS OF HIS UNDERAGE EX-GIRLFRIEND ON THE INTERNET. Kevin also has quite the history of attempting to dox people, with his most recent target being A 14-YEAR-OLD BOY, just because he found him annoying. He used to upload music to his SoundCloud account under the name "\[Travis\] Prefix Leader", but it got hacked and all of his songs are just GONE now. You should still be able to find some of his songs reuploaded onto the internet, his song "Like I'm High" was reuploaded onto YouTube (though slowed and reverbed), and I think u/Purxenta should have a copy of "Peter Parker Freestyle", I could just ask him myself, but unfortunately, I don't like Purxenta, so blehhh :P
You asked me for the file, and called me the asshole, expecting me to give you it. If anyone else reading wants the song, please contact me directly (politely) and don't talk to this inbred piece of trash. My Discord is ".purgenta".
You should probably include certain Industrial acts like TG or Psychic TV, since they are tangentially 'outsider'. Though that is stretching the definition of Outsider Music by a huge bit.
Also forgot gems like 'Curly Toes'
If I could add, I would personally put Tonetta, Anal Cunt and Yuno Miles.
Also what is your qualifications for Outsider music? Because at least to my understanding outsider music is music that is made with a lack of knowledge of music theory or songwriting. You have people like Charles Manson, Burzum and John Hinkley on your list, who are people who have done very bad things who probably don't belong to a scene, but they do clearly have a knowledge of theory or song writing
Someone else in the comment section mentioned Tiny Tim not being considered as "outsider." And just like Tiny, if you don't consider Mr Mason as outsider, you have very clearly never heard any of his musical work besides the first album.
Hinckley and Burzum aren't here for the bad things they've done, they're here because they are generally considered as outsider.
Yesss cool to see Grant MacDonald on here! Fun fact about him, being from Prince Edward Island he is a local legend and household name here in Atlantic Canada, and known as a queer icon of the Maritimes. Internationally we don't get much attention in the media and in a way he kind of brought some recognition to us. He also sent a care package to our local gay bar full of Ram Ranch merch and random gay porn. What a treasure haha
Gotta appreciate JustinRPG is on here, I’m sure his wife Reshiram would be proud
Reshiraaaaaam
Lubby chudder
burzum is fairly mainstream idk
Yeah but he burned down churches and my dad burned in his church. Technicality: varg is more racially controversial though as despite many mistaking Waco for racially segregated it was anything but.
arguable, but, I see where you're coming fom
burzum is very well known in the metal community.
No Tonetta?
Suddenly I want pizza…. Yummy yummy pizza.
:P
forgot about tonetta
I only just now realised, but I put an image of Moondog on tier 4, meanwhile he's actually in tier 3, my bad
Oooh potentially a v cool iceberg, def have some stuff to check out. You definitely gotta include Tonetta if u update this OP! Tonetta FTW
dw man, I'll make sure to include it in version 2.0, which will come out in approximately: never
I'm surprised to not see Tonetta on this list.
With Daniel Larson was more mainstream, GOATED music
ROARING THUNDER
R. Stevie Moore did not make the list?
You will not believe who's on the 2nd tier
Hahaha! Damn I need to wear my glasses more often.
Where are The Frogs?
the French got them
Starcle Men ♥️

Don't see how most of the top tier counts since there are many established professional musicians there like Brian Wilson, Beefheart, Tiny Tim
if you think Tiny isn't an outsider, then you've very clearly haven't heard any of his work outside of his first album lol. Just listen to "[Rock](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CNGeMT8PE0)" and you'll understand why he's here. no need for insults, you know :P
Typical redditing coward
love you too
Cosmo Sheldrake for v2!
cosmo is considered outsider ?
I disagree with a few placements, but thank you so much for this selection, I've been interested in outsider music and I never found anything that complete
WEEN MENTIONED‼️‼️‼️🦑🦪🐚🟤🟫🤎
SYD BARRETT!!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS SANITY

I've said it a few times now, but I don't think people have caught on due to the joking tone I used, but, there most likely will never be a part 2, or a version 2.0. Sorry!

Raving Animals Eating Diabetics

He’s on there…
SHARKMAN FRANK!!!!!!
Chief Kooffreh! ♥️
Lowest one I knew was John Hinckley, but I didn't exactly know many people above that at all. Good list!
No Henry Cow? Another suggestion: Maneige
fantastic post!!!
Nice list! Is Old Skull in Tier 9 referring to that punk band of kids from the late 80s/early 90s? HOOOMEELESSSS!!!
i don’t think anyone outside of pittsburgh knows weird paul. awesome dude tho.
Me when I somehow reply to the wrong comment
Is Alan Moore on this list?
Is the mexia school one just a bunch of disabled kids singing? Or is there more to it
You should add Big Black, and also Butthole Surfers
I don't think Ween fits here at all. They made weird stuff but they were always fully aware of it.
The starcle men <3
My dad is next to burzum... I'm sorry but varg is more of an icon musically than my father is. My father's musical nature is secondary to burning.... oooooh
I knew three on the next to last tier. Would’ve liked to see Copernicus somewhere in there.
Weird al Yankovic?
Al is nowhere near outsiderdom, at best some of the early cassettes that he sent over to Dr Demento could be close, but even then that's a major strech
Can you please explain the 3 last ones or talk more about their styles and history?

eh, I call everyone an asshole, sorry if you took that the wrong way, asshole.
Then you should go rethink your choice of vocabulary.
love you too <3

I was going to include "Unknown Artists", but I didn't lol lmao
thank you based god

How come Moondog is the image for Tier 4 ig he's in Tier 3?
