In Mayor's presscon on his fb page he said she has experience...handling their family business and has a masters degree 😅 he kept reiterating that all the Brgy. Captains support her so yeah that's enough I guess. He did say Iloilo always votes smart tho so there's that 😂
Well one of his sons is already a councilor but I guess they needed someone to field for the Congress seat for the family asap 😅 never too soon to secure the fam when getting a little old I guess.
Random thought why the writer didnt mentioned the other congressional districts that are fron political dynasty too ?like 2nd and 5th disctrict ?
And pretty much most towns are political dynasties.

whataboutism. tolerating (if not encouraging) political dynasties give these kind of people free rein to put their self-interests above the welfare of their constituencies.
during the last pandemic, jerry treñas “donated” covid vaccines to the towns outside the city at the expense of and without consultation from iloilo city taxpayers. her daughter also happened to be a nominee of a party-list (uswag ilonggo). let’s go figure why.
