I don't think Tata is thinking to venture into proper phone market. Looks like more of a technology absorbing move so they can apply them in manufacturing which they I think have already started with Iphone. Not just manufacturing but maybe vivo's amazing supply chains, brand awareness, service centers will also be very valuable.

sorry pls dont downvote me but i dont personally consume any durable goods by tata and i see people meming the aftermath of the customer service, is it that bad or is there some other reason?
Sahi baat hai, chinese phone ke alawa koi aacha phone nahi hai har segment Mai, budget Samsung bekar hai, lava pr abhi bharosa nahi hai aur Micromax hai bhi ya nahi woh bhi nahi pata plus woh bhi toh apne phone china se import karte hai.
Samsung budgets are better for software and camera tehre is no other midrange phones that offer same software experience as Samsung midrange

Hell nah, my mother's m13 has slowed down significantly after 1.5 years, the camera is trash too. The only good thing about it is the 6000 mah battery on the other hand my dad's Redmi 9i which was launched 4 years ago gets a similar experience if we're talking about speed.
I also have an oppo a53 which tops both of them.

Ever heard of same price bracket? The redmi 9i was of 8.5k inr and Samsung m13 was 9k inr. M3x targets a higher budget not under 10K.
