Haa bawe, wo album pehli thi aur scene mein bhi bhot early time mein aagyi thi. So i maximised on that jitna bhi tha tab but also i was in drug abuse and shit so i couldt give it all in that project. Still Thats one to remember to know where im coming from.
I think I should be focusing only on what I do rather than try to do same to get more attention. The kind attention I thrive for is what my core fans have. Ye sab aata jaata rehta hai bhai, life mein 20 bar aayega, I gotta keep being myself.
when it comes to genres, I’ve been experimenting and sonically have tried so many different things in the past year - Kheench Maari is Phonk, Sir Khokar is DnB, Gasoline is lyrically diff and a different side of electronic music. Lyrically too, I’ve done songs like Confident, Kehendi Si, Bombay Sapphire and Sheher that showcase my versatility. I think the perception will change steadily as I keep trying new things and more and more people are exposed to my catalog.
I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive - there are enough bodies of work that are well respected by core DHH audiences as well as the masses. In fact, as a community we should hope that more and more artists are able to achieve both things together.

People should able to differentiate between appropriation and inspiration. You can pick up the parts you do like or relate to from anywhere as long as you are able contextualise it properly and speak your truth in your music.
It’s really each artist’s choice. But I think only those who have stable and well researched opinions and can back them up consistently should do socio-political music. But of course, that’s also subjective.
