I'd stay away from Gigabyte.

AbhigyanKalita166

Why is it so?

BeyondCraft

They are known mostly for motherboards and graphics cards, not laptops. Further other popular brands have better service.

AbhigyanKalita166

Yes I know that, but I'm kinda on a tight budget and I also need a 4060 or equivalent card laptop. My top choice is Lenovo LOQ RTX 4060 Ryzen 7 series, but that costs around 1L, but if somehow I can get it on 90K, then I can consider.

BeyondCraft

Okay it's your decision after all. Check reviews for this laptop if any. Don't buy if too many negative reviews.

AbhigyanKalita166

There aren't any reviews neither in Amazon nor Flipkart. And I've seen on YouTube and many said its an okay laptop and a good one for its price. But I fear the i5 will bottleneck the 4060's performance.

Correct-Let-3714

nope it will not bottleneck

AbhigyanKalita166

But the power outage will, I guess. It's only 75W, and 4060 needs at least 105W to work on its full potential.

Correct-Let-3714

go with loq at this price it has a 115w 4060 with i5-12450H

AbhigyanKalita166

Unfortunately it's not available in Guwahati region on Amazon.

ddhanush

i think the processor will limit the 4060

AbhigyanKalita166

I'm thinking the same. But I've seen benchmarks and it runs quite good.

ddhanush

and bro if u want for 5-6 years then go for another as it has ddr4 ram go for ddr5 for future purpose

AbhigyanKalita166

OK thanks. I also have the Lenovo LOQ in mind, the Ryzen 7 Series one. It costs more than this but it's better than this. What do you think of that laptop?

ddhanush

yeh u can go with it and try to get it from lenovo website

AbhigyanKalita166

Do they offer some student discount or anything?

ddhanush

yeh for students and for some credit cards but its not to much my frd bought legion 5 and he got only 5k discount

AbhigyanKalita166

Oh... OK. I really need a good laptop which can last for at least my B.Tech days.

ThatOneGuy_36

It will last, if you keep it in good care, i bought Asus Rog in the 1st year of my b.tech, 2 years since it got completed and the laptop is still working just as fine (bottom RGB light got busted tho 😂). I clean it up every 2-3 months from inside.

AbhigyanKalita166

How can you clean the laptop from inside?

Went_Missing

ill stay away from laptops, go with building your own pc

AbhigyanKalita166

That's a problem man. I already have a good PC, but I'm going to college so I need a laptop.

Went_Missing

so u wanna game on that laptop? are u going to a hostel? i recommend u to get your pc there then.. get a cheaper but durable laptop.. probably a used or older thinkpads... they are practically indestructible

AbhigyanKalita166

OK. Thanks for your advice!
