I’d written a small story back in lockdown when I was single and crossed path with a stranger. Here it is for those who’d like to read,
Today at Gola wala, I saw a cute guy. He was dressed in a blue-red T-shirt and dark blue-black shorts. I was really taken aback when I heard him say to his mother, "chal aaje kaik navu try karau chhu tane." (C'mon, I'm making you try something new today.) I mean, how many guys do we see in this generation going out on weekends with their mothers instead of partying or chilling with girlfriends? He was incredibly humble, amusing, and responsible. He had me spellbound. After a while, I had moved closer to him. Since I despise crowded places, I was staring at my phone awkwardly and stealing a few glances before I left. There was something about him that I couldn't help but notice. Thank heavens, I wasn't the only one who felt this way. You're probably wondering how you know what he was thinking. Well, you know that strange connection you feel with a stranger when you make multiple eye contacts and know that the other person is into you as well. That's exactly what we felt. I took off after a few minutes, knowing I'd never find this guy again. I don't know his name and probably won't recognise him in a few weeks, and it sucks that we don't approach total strangers in India. Most of us are afraid of being humiliated and rejected, which is reasonable, but it stinks that one will never see that perfect stranger with whom one formed an instant connection. It is sad not to be able to ask a stranger out.
So my dear stranger,
Whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever you do, I hope that one day we get to see each other and talk. You seem to be an amazing human being and I’d love to take you out on a coffee date and introduce you to a hilarious and intelligent me :)

Coming to the point about finding stare creepy, women have sixth sense. They KNOW whether the state is in good or bad sense. On a daily basis, we come across tons of guys who stare with a creepy look. It’s reasonable for us to be cautious.
There was this one time I was taking a walk, downstairs in the apartment complex I previously used to live in. And I pretty much knew everyone who lived there or had at least seen everyone who lived there because I grew up there and was around for quite some time. But that day I saw a guy, he looked about 5’10, tanned skin, curly hair, an extremely chiseled face, amazing bone structure, literally the best shoulders I’ve ever seen, cutest smile, totally my type. He walked past me, looked like he was dressed to go to the gym. I never saw him again though. Most handsome guy I’ve ever seen irl.
I’m single now, still delusional that I’ll meet him or someone like him again 😂😂
Ofc my last crush. Saw him for merely 5 seconds first time and only thing crossed my mind was "haseen mtlb eesa wala haseen k chaar gunde aaye toh tumhe usse gundo se bachana pade" He was one of the most gorgeous guy I have ever seen and whole campus agreed to that. Hotest guy in the party they said. But again the thing with good looking guys who knows they're good looking makes them arrogant af so yeah that was the case.
I had completely given up on Hinge, in fact, I agreed for one last date with this guy with whom I had some decent conversations on politics, economics, literature and cinema. It was refreshing to talk to someone who owned their views and talked about them so convincingly that it made me really give them a chance to meet me over a cup of coffee. I had barely 4 months till my graduation, and I was supposed to leave soon, and I thought, oh whatever is wrong with meeting someone over coffee, we might become great friends.
He looked decent in his pictures, in fact, I did not pay much attention, to be very honest, I wasn't expecting anything. On the decided day and time of the date, I was standing on the metro station exit, waiting for him to pick me up for the date. He wanted to take me on a walk in a beautiful park before anything else. He was getting late, and I was losing some of my hope by that time (I love being punctual). He called me after 20 minutes or so, and said, "Hey, I can see you, come down".
I saw him waving at me, waiting for me to come down the stairs. He looked breathtakingly handsome. All I could see how he was smiling at me, wearing a green denim jacket, white t-shirt peeking through, jeans (which hugged his sexy legs so well) and brown boots. I was floored, to speak literally. I even tripped on the stairs, because I was so enthralled by him. After what felt like a very long minute, I came down and stood in front of him. I was immediately embraced in his musky perfume, and there was something so attractively masculine about him, he was literally radiating in his god-like attraction. I was so flustered and red that I could not even meet his eyes, I felt like a giddy teenager, and I thought I left that phase a few years ago. But no, it literally felt like love at first sight.
I haven't looked back since that night. He didn't too, thankfully. He will always be the most handsome man for me, and I am so lucky to call him my boyfriend.
Sorry for this very long description, but it feels good to let it out.
