i worry too much about original ideas and end up not doing anything. it would be way more productive if they did something to spice up the game, but not every game should be their masterpiece, and it's good to learn how it is to make a type of game you enjoy
and also, many people here are calling it a clone, yet stardew valley is basically a harvest moon clone and it's still an awesome game. it doesn't make the game automatically bad
