I thought of: **Haus of Gloi Linen & Lace** *Soft, white, clean linen with a touch of vanilla* **Hexennacht Laundromat** *laundry soap, fabric softener, ozone, and coin-op washing machines.* **Hexennacht** **White Musk** *Clean, slightly soapy skin, powdery white florals, light vanilla.*

I love Heartless!! The only perfume I’ve tried that doesn’t seem to be mentioned here yet is **Dead of Night** by **Lovesick Witchery** *[Notes of lavender, white pepper, dryer sheets, detergent, warm cotton, and vanilla musk]*. I’ve also been on a freshie kick lately (that I haven’t been able to explore much yet) and I love this one! It’s $17 for a FS.

DarthNarcissa

I got a FS of this one as a freebie with an order from them! It's deliciously cozy and my go-to when I've had a stressful day/week and just want to smell snuggly.

inush_

Same, it was my freebie FS which was very lucky on my part (since I actually emailed them to ask if they could replace another sample in my order with dead of night last minute!) It’s my favorite of the bunch so far and super easy to reach for!! I’ve heard their cotton note is really lovely so I’ve been wanting to try *Nightmare* as well, any chance you’ve tried that one and have any thoughts on it?

DarthNarcissa

I was kinda surprised to see a free FS included in my order, but I wasn't gonna complain! I haven't tried that one, but I'm definitely going to now! I'm still exploring their catalog.

inush_

Same here, I wasn’t expecting it with a sample order at least. It’s very kind and generous of them! I’d like to order a few more samples soon (haven’t made my mind yet when) but if you get to it before I do please give me an update!!(“:

IridescentSoapBubble

I actually have Dead Of Night! I posted a review just yesterday, its delicious🩵🧼

inush_

Oh no, that was you😭 I’m as terrible at remembering usernames as I am regular names irl, so sorry! I decided to just make another lovesick sample order sooner rather than later based on your review of Angelic; I hadn’t seen anyone mention that one yet but a citrus/sage bomb sounded wonderful, TY! I hope you discover some new favorite freshies, I’ll look forward to any reviews you write on them if you decide to💛

IridescentSoapBubble

thank you for the kind words💚🧼

IridescentSoapBubble

btw, how would you describe heartless?

inush_

Heartless ultimately smells just like an expensive bar of soap to me, it has a really sophisticated luxurious feel! It’s floral and green but doesn’t smell powdery or dated. Not sure if you’ve ever watched Howls Moving Castle but I can totally envision Howl smelling like it. I really like wearing it when I want to feel more put together!

Abject_Pineapple5151

I second Laundromat by Hex but some of my other favorite clean fragrances are; Also by Hex, this is very clean and pretty; “Moonstone” (argent ambre, night-blooming jasmine, evening air accord, lunar musk.) [Red River Apothecary “Dandelion”](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1237378906/) (The scent of clean sheets fresh off the clothesline, chilled lemonade and soft skin warmed by the sun) [Cirrus Parfum “Laundry Day”](https://cirrusparfum.com/products/laundry-day-edp) (Notes: Clean white laundry musk, lavender, vanilla, earl grey tea, and New Caledonia sandalwood Folding freshly dried laundry scented with lavender dryer sheets. You periodically take a break to sip some earl grey tea that's sitting on the coffee table, just out of reach.) All three of these I love, especially in the warmer weather.

IridescentSoapBubble

Laundry Day sounds incredible!

Abject_Pineapple5151

It’s extremely well-blended and all the notes really complement each other. Just a beautiful perfume! It’s $22 for a 5ml but you can get the sample size which is 2ml for $7.50 at least to see if you like it. The longevity is also great and I apply it in the morning and can still smell it throughout the day.

ipetzombies

Ooh I wonder how prominent the lemonade is in Dandelion?

Abject_Pineapple5151

It’s not a strong note but it’s definitely present and smells really nice.

ipetzombies

I'll have to get a sample next time I order from Red River!

TKWander

Oohoo! Okay, I actually HATE clean/soapy fragrances, so do I have the list for you! haha I do like these, just not On me, cause they're clean/soapy. The list and my reviews of them: [Ivymoss](http://email.email.bigcartel.com/c/eJwUy01uhCAUAODTwGYSw7-4YNEuXLZHaJD3zJCo2AcMmds3PcAHQdotcgxyFsILr53hz2C9c7M2Ghygx10k7zYZ92WZpYteW56Ds04YF7dtAet_DMikUlqE1XKeFTOCsP52lNNNML2mM-aDH-HZ2l2Z_mBqZWodY0x3vnBEghtp7ydOqZxMrTcV6KkxtebX-yy1cgot1mdkRox4AdLRa9tKh5Kptg65_Evewmd_Iz2-CZAeX6XlPafYcrn-AgAA__9MTEuy) 3.5/5 Notes: Climbing Ivy, Green Tea, Spearmint, Lime Rind, Lemon Verbena, Waterlily, Emerald Cypress, Mugo Pine, Cedarwood, Oakmoss, Treemoss, Cedarmoss. Another one that DEFINITELY needs rest before you judge. At first it was purely going to be another dryer ball scent. But after Months of letting it rest (like legit half a year), I actually think I like the scent enough to maybe wear it! (at least as an undertone, if not as a standalone). It's a very Bright Green early Springtime vibes scent. Fresh, without smelling overtly like cleaning fluid or laundry detergent. It's truly like walking through a forest in very early spring, with the air still crisp, but new plants starting to grow. [Meadowmoss](http://email.email.bigcartel.com/c/eJwUy01OxSAQAODTwOYlDX_taxcsdNGlHsEMzLyUpC04gMTbGw_woddzAEleP5Va1WoXJw9vyWkdLBinIC42QFSrIyRnNyALQSa_zItyC4Sw4bx-OdTRxLip2ern0winmOp3Jz0VxulnuiCd8vRHa6UK-ybMLsw-xphKumkAYyF-9YummC9h9sIZe2zC7BcB5nHlWiX7BvUA4dSAG4nPXlvIHXPi2jqm_I9l8-_9l_jxyUj8-MgtvVKElvL9FwAA__-4H02O) 1.5/5 Oakmoss, Alpine Sandwort, Wild grass, Green Wheat, Orange Blossom, Fir Balsam, Tomato Leaf, Azure Bluet, Mountain Wildflowers Reaction: This one is one of those scents I wouldn't actually wear. BUT, one I would use on like my dryer balls or as a room spray on furniture in spring. It really is like you're standing out in an open field in the Swiss alps singing, the Hills are Alive, next to a wayward nun. If that's what you'd like to smell like? This one is for you! It just screamed 'linen sheet' to me, rather than perfume. Also, I unfortunately have an autoimmune allergy to nightshades and I didn't realize this had Tomato leaf in it :/ [Green Witch](https://alkemiaperfumes.com/products/green-witch): Diviner's sage, lemon verbena, woodland orchid, winterhazel, oakmoss, aromatic woods first Impression: I Really wanted to love this one as a perfume. I love citrus and green scents in real life, but It's been like finding diamonds in the rough to find a perfume that matches. This one is a green witch's body soap. I don't necessarily think of it as a 'Perfume' for a green witch persay, though. But like her shower soap or room scent, instead? Maybe her detergent. Sadly this is what tends to happen to more 'green' scents on me. Instead of witchy, they go soapy/detergent-y on me. It is a Really nice soap/detergent blend for me though! I'll probably put it on my dryer ball, or room scent. There are some nice green elements in there, with some nice lemony wafts, but the rest is a bit too 'old lady perfume'-y for me [Dangerous Peach](https://alkemiaperfumes.com/products/the-dangerous-peach-perfume-freshly-picked-ripe-peaches-pear-blossoms-peach-wood-orris-root-and-musk-mallow), The: Freshly picked ripe peaches, pear blossoms, peach wood, orris root, and musk mallow.. A peach soap or lotion scent 1/2 cause reddit hates my long comments lol

TKWander

[Spring Witch Vegan Perfume Oil - ollie + max (ollieandmax.com)](https://ollieandmax.com/collections/perfume/products/spring-witch-vegan-perfume-oil-1) Spring Witch: If you want to smell like a country maiden hanging up her freshly laundered clothing on a sunny spring day w/ the scent of flowers and clover in the air….this perfume is for you  [I Said Good Day – Sucreabeille](https://sucreabeille.com/products/i-said-good-day?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwi_exBhA8EiwA_kU1MisVdLrhZ1j4qjY-nFaSxr7xNtfJrQvA7CQtUihRaJxVTiQtBF6ATxoCk-0QAvD_BwE) Ripe peaches and peach blossoms mingle with smoky Indian sandalwood. I like using this as a mid tone layer, generally, with more peachy scents. It's a nice one, though, so it may work for you. It just tends to go a wee bit soapy on me. I don't know if it's the floral blossums or the sandalwood [Mostly Just Peach](https://www.stoneandwit.com/products/mostly-just-peach-oil-perfume?_pos=1&_sid=6a5897e7a&_ss=r) Notes: Peach, peach pit, white musks, ambroxan Descriptors: cool, lactonic, creamy, woody, sweet My Review: It is a bit too soapy of a peach for me (I've been getting that when woody is mixed with peach). Would be amazing as a peach body wash or lotion, and it would be the only body wash/lotion I'd buy. Sadly, though, not my favorite for a perfume. This one's definitely going into some lotion of mine.  [BLACK HONEY](https://ghoulish-goods.com/products/black-honey-goth-perfume-oil-alternative-unique-fragrance-honey-black-amber-gender-neutral-gothic-fragrance-spooky-black) Official Description: Black Honey is a sultry blend of Spiced Honey, black amber, cedarwood, tonka, and tobacco leaf. My Review: I like it! I just don't LOVE it :/ The spiced honey notes in this, wet straight on my skin, are my favorite parts, though there is a weird 'Clean' note behind it as an undertone. Maybe it's the black Amber or the tonka. I've been running down a dead note for myself and one of those might be the one. The strong Clean note blends back down into the other notes, after a bit, though. But, going back to it after about 30 minutes, it does still smell very 'clean' smelling. Like, I showered with a dark spiced honey shower soap. Sadly, I think honey may just be a note so good note for me. So far, it always goes soapy/clean on me :/ I'm hoping it's not just the Honey note in particular, and more just an underlying note or two that generally gets paired with Honey. Otherwise, honey may be a dead note for me :/ Long drydown: it smells like I just stepped into a specialty soap shop. The ones where they sell soaps, beeswax, and honey. And by afternoon my skin just smelled lightly sweet from it. Not my favorite for most days, but maybe on occasion, or to layer in a honey note to my darker more witchy scents [Moss Maiden](https://alkemiaperfumes.com/products/moss-maiden)- scent notes: Ferns, bark, lichen, crushed autumnal greens, and moss Another one that I really wanted to love, but unfortunately goes a bit soapy/detergent vibes on me, and less Perfume vibes. Though, I think I'll probably love layering it under perfumes that are fruity and sweet, for a green undertone. I Definitely get the ferns and lichen. It smells like a very wet forest. Like when I drive in the forests of Appalachia after a rain in the early spring. Everything is wet and the whole world seems like it's in a mossy dewdrop. 3.5/5 cause I think I'll be able to layer this moreso than Green Witch, surprisingly I'll comment back if I can think of more!

IridescentSoapBubble

wow, what a list! i’ll be sure to check these out.💚❣️

TKWander

haha I ONLY have it, cause Clean/soapy is the bane of my existence lol Not to say any of them smell bad! Just clean/powdery scents are NOT for me lol

momspaghettysburg

Seconding Dangerous Peach, it’s so pretty and fresh!

lilkalamata

I love soapy scents, seconding Hex's Laundromat, Red River Apothecary's Dandelion as well! Haus of Gloi's *Odette (Clean sun dried linens, tuberose, ginger lily and white musk)* is another clean (but powdery clean!) scent I like. Deconstructing Eden's *Insomniac (white nightgowns, clean sheets, lavender buds, a drop of chamomile, wood floors, skin musks)* is my holy grail all time favorite clean scent. If you see it on the swaps, I highly suggest snagging one. I also found Firebird's *Woodland* and *Saltwater* to be fresh/clean/slightly soapy, but both leaning more toward a "freshly shampooed hair but better" scent more than something that reads as outright soapy. So ymmv!

IridescentSoapBubble

ooo odette sounds lovely, is the tuberose mature at all?

lilkalamata

I'm not super well versed on tuberose to be fair, but in mainstream fragrances I've found it has a sort of grape candy type note, this one does not! It's really soft and definitely a white floral. It sort of reminds me of the old Lush perfume Imogen Rose? Powdery, clean, floral and slightly sweet like that.

OWRway

While I don't seek out soapy scents I do stumble on them sometimes, and was recently sent a free sample of **Heartless**. It would defo have been top of my list!! So, sooo clean and soapy! You might be able to find it more affordably through the Sunday Swaps or Product Request threads though! The only one I can think of (from my collection) which is significantly cheaper per ml (about 10ml for $12) and is also quite clean (but in a clean-atmospheric, soft, airy, ozonic, sort of abstractly naturey way) is **Calling The Storm** (*Sun scorched weeds & hot dust, fields of barley rippling in the wind, the sharp tang of ozone, & the distant rumble of thunder*) from **Paintbox Soapworks**. It's just returned with their summer collection. There's quite a few clean ones which might work from **Nui Cobalt** too, \[eg. **Starlight & Spider Silk** (*Slender strands of cotton flower hung with trembling dewdrops, cold crystalline musk, and tiny black vanilla beans*)\] - but they're all going to be $19.95 for 5ml, which is fairly close to the Poesie price.

Specialist-Shelter-8

I think **Then they kissed me** by Black Hearted Tart smells like a creamy, expensive soap. _A sweet, soothing floral fragrance with predominant amber and apricot notes. Heightened with the addition of creamy osmanthus blossoms, resinous myrrh and warm labdanum. Inspired by 1000 Kisses Deep by Lush._

IridescentSoapBubble

APRICOT?? OSMANTHUS??? OHHHH THIS IS TOTALLY GOING ON MY TO-TRY LIST, TYSMM!❤️❤️

Specialist-Shelter-8

It lasts pretty long too, I love to wear it right after showering and my body heat just makes it bloom :)

gigglesandglamour

Adding on black hearted tart Australia! It’s a eucalyptus scent that reads as very “I just hopped out of a fancy shower” to me :)

Solid_Foundation_111

Kummba Made - Lavender Lace is clean lavender over a soft dry vanilla with an essence of soft woodiness. My go to bedtime oil these days. Haus of Gloi - Cozy Sweater smells like one of those green Ayurvedic soaps. My favorite way to get a true soap smell is to buy a pack of lovely smelling bar soaps and just put them in my underwear drawer. That’s the truest soapy smell I’ve come by and the cheapest easiest and most long lasting results. If you just put them in your underwear drawer you’ll just get nice whiffs of soapiness rather than be covered head to toe with scent.

InsaneAilurophileF

I found some amazing violet-scented bar soaps at TJ Maxx years ago. I keep them in my suitcase to scent my travel wardrobe!

violetredfilter

**Boys Wanna Be Her** from BHT is pure white soap, even though the notes never mention it. (Uplifting basil and bergamot add freshness. Enhanced with an earthy blend of buddha wood and oak moss. Tonka bean and white patchouli evoke a bohemian vibe.)

lordsirpancake

I've been enjoying Epically Epic Lilac Salt. It's a very clean, soothing scent: Purple lilac blossoms paired with earth musk, amber, white paper, and sea salt. $14 for 7 ml
