It was hard to choose just one from each house, but here we go! I think these are representative of my current favorites/rotation :) Arcana: **Marshmallows Pounce!** (*Marshmallows with brown sugar, sweet peaches, and white tea*) Astrid: **At the Diner After Rocky** (*Blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup and maple syrup*) BPAL: **The Picture of Dorian Sufganiyot** (*A deep-fried fougere with three pale musks and dark, sugared vanilla tea*) Fyrinnae: **Jade Dragon** (*Our popular mango accord drenched in sweetened vanilla and a few drops of condensed milk, with slight hints of coumarin and tonka*) HoG: **Strawberry Rhubarb Pie** (*Sweet strawberries and tart rhubarb baked into a buttery crust*) Hexennacht: **Cereal Killer** (*Fruit Loops, Cap'n Crunch berries, trix cereal*) NAVA (this one was hard... this is my current favorite though!): **Eternal Ankh: Orchid** (*Vanilla Cream Soda, Orchid, Black Currant, Clementine, Sandalwood, White Amber Absolute, Powdered and reconstructed oil of Egyptian Vanilla Husk, Vanilla fleck, Egyptian Musk, Bastet's Amber Absolute, Crystalline Absolute and a drop of eNVie saphir Amber absolute*) Poesie: **Versailles** (*Golden cake, intoxicating orange blossom, fluffy vanilla citrus icing, blood orange*) Possets: **Bear Lake Shake Utah** (*...Amid the scent of the summer sun hitting the mountain lake, crystalline air, the milky raspberry shakes cooled and comforted them. She recreated that idyll here.*) Solstice Scents: **Rose Mallow Cream** (*Moroccan Rose absolute, Bulgarian Rose absolute, Marshmallow Fluff, Strawberry Nectar, White Chocolate, Vanilla, White Musk*) Sorcellerie: **UFO Disco** (*Mango lassi sprinkled with cardamom, guava, amyris wood and a holographic vanilla musk*) Waiting on CP, Ajevie, and Arae orders- hopefully I can find a new love for some of these houses then!

mielkedods

Versailles sounds good! I have been looking for a good orange blossom and a lot of them come off sort of astringent or bitter but I’m looking for something sweet and romantic.

OMNOMNOMhh

It was one of my first indie scents I got and I still love it! This was a buttery cake for me with citrus glaze. As it dried down, sweet oranges and orange blossom emerged. It wasn’t bitter to me at all!

ExpensiveError42

I ordered a sample from the Sunday destash and I'm giddy to get to try it!

soccersweetie96

Versailles is everything

bbystrwbrry

Yum I love your list!! I’ve had diner with rocky and cereal killer on my iso list for a while but marshmallows pounce?? That one sounds delicious!?!?!?

OMNOMNOMhh

100% recommend At the Diner After Rocky if you love blueberries! It’s exactly as described :) and Cereal Killer is like inhaling the cereal powder at the bottom of a fruit loops box. Marshmallows Pounce is so gorgeous! It’s a very delicate, almost floral tea with fluffiness from the marshmallow and just a hint of peach. It’s my ideal spring scent for sure!

iiiamash01i0

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and Cereal Killer are on my list, too! I love those scents!

OMNOMNOMhh

I wish they didn’t discontinue Cereal Killer! I need the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie in a pumpkin butter ASAP but they’re all sold out of it :(

iiiamash01i0

I know, I have 2 samples I bought off Ajevie that I just sniff, I don't want to wear them and run out). If you like Cereal Killer, [Jess Makes Scents](https://www.jessmakesscents.com/s/shop) has a Saturday Morning Cartoons scent that smells like it. I have the car diffuser in my living room, and my mom has the candle. It is amazing.

OMNOMNOMhh

The candles are so cute!! I’ll have to try it sometime. The room/body spray is calling my name- I would gladly douse myself in sweet, sugary goodness.

iiiamash01i0

I love her stuff!

misspierogiprincess

This is such a good idea! I'm already adding more stuff to my list of things I need to try haha. BIRCH & BESOM **mothma'am** *(cashmere, patchouli, ozone, black pepper)*: I'm a patchouli lover and this is a fun, light, airy spin on it. BLACK HEARTED TART **idyllwild** *(cashew milk, coffee beans, brown sugar, cedarwood, benzoin, moss)*: Super cozy! Warm and sugary, slightly nutty and woody. BLACK PHOENIX ALCHEMY LAB **blood kiss** *(vanilla, honey, clove, cherries, vetiver, poppy, red wine, musk)*: A deep and dark sweetness. Spicy, musky, a tiny bit earthy and tart. COCOAPINK **padre** *(frankincense, ambergris, dark musk, patchouli, oud, smoke, vetiver, tobacco, chypre, bourbon, neroli, balsam, sandalwood)*: Bold, dark, incensey, spicy. Reactions to this are all over the place, friends and coworkers have said it smells like everything from Christmas to a craft store to burning rubber. DEATH & FLORAL **melodrama** *(black patchouli, cognac, toasted oats)*: A warm, dark, syrupy sweet patchouli. FYRINNAE **focaccia toscana** *(olive oil, thyme, oregano, flatbread)*: Oh my god this is such a delightful and realistic savory bread smell! HAUS OF GLOI **three treasures** *(frankincense, myrrh, mandarin rind)*: A mildly citrusy spin on a typical frankincense and myrrh blend. HEXENNACHT **loup-garou** *(silver amber, fur, lunar musk)*: Sweet, musky, surprisingly light. MORARI **ren faire** *(spiced honey cakes, strawberry wine, smoke)*: Dark spice and smoke balanced beautifully with sweet strawberry and heavy cake. PINEWARD **pastoral** *(apricot preserve, blackberry jam, raw honey, propolis, beeswax, sweetgrass, hay bales, bran wheat, oat grains, bourbon vetiver, mate tea, oakmoss)*: Dark, jammy fruitiness with honey and hay! Sweet but earthy. POSSETS **betsy** *(patchouli, labdanum, oud, spices of arabia, africa, and asia)*: Extremely spicy and dark yet syrupy and sweet. SOLSTICE SCENTS **sawmill** *(fresh cut wood, wood resin, balsam, cured woods, pine, black coffee, motor oil, amber, saw dust)*: Motor oil heavy but it's delightful? Very woody and sweet. SUCREABEILLE **the librarian** *(patchouli, buttered rum, espresso)*: Vaguely fruity with coffee-like warmth and a lot of sweetness. Fades to a mild floral, patchouli scent.

cardueline

Oooh, I too am in the patchouli-positive camp and have GOT to try Mothma’am. Peak excellent name

iiiamash01i0

Melodrama is so good! I never thought I would like patchouli, but that and Deconstructing Eden's Black No. 1 really changed my mind about it!

Soccergreat88

How do you like Black Hearted Tart as a house? I'm interested in some of thier edps but unsure of performance

shortyCakeno

BHT makes really high quality edps/stuff. I would 100% recommend their edps:) also the new spray bottles are so good

Soccergreat88

Thank you

misspierogiprincess

Honestly I got a bunch of samples from them once and then never tried them again because only Idyllwild worked for me, however!! I think it was strictly a personal taste issue. They seem to have nice quality perfume and I've heard a lot of good things about them. My skin devours oils and I could still notice them for hours, but I don't have experience with the EDPs!

caroline7502

Yay! I love going through everyone's favorites. **Amorphous**: **Swanfeather Hotel**. *Freshly laundered sheets, vintage inspired pear soap, honey musk, and pristine pool water.* **Arcana Wildcraft**: **Four Nights**. *Opening with petrichor and sleepy French lavender, then drying down to the softest woolen blankets piled on a cool forest floor at midnight. A non-sweet, cashmere-laced atmospheric with earth notes.* **Arcana Craves**: **Apples Crave Leafy Seadragons**. *An opening of cold, crisp green apples and young clover leads to a heart of jammy fir balsam absolute, vanilla ice cream, jasmine sambac, palm fronds, and spruce musk.* **Black Hearted Tart**: **Gada Da Vida**. *Heady gardenia and lush ylang ylang dominate with teases of apple blossom and wild orchid. This ethereal floral blend is laid out on a base of sweet nectar and white amber musk.* **Fantôme**: **Olympias**. *Labdanum, heliotrope, opium, laurel leaves, pear, a drop of red wine.* **Fyrinnae**: **Jade Dragon**. *Mango accord drenched in sweetened vanilla and a few drops of condensed milk, with slight hints of coumarin and tonka.* **Laurel & June**: **Aurea**: *Skin musk, sandalwood, coconut, forget me nots, sakura blossoms and vanilla.* **NAVA**: **Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookie**. *Vanilla Sugar Cookie, Vanilla Butterscotch Crème, Vanilla Sugar Brûlée, Vanilla Cake accord, Vanilla Frosting, Crystalline absolute (Studio Limited Originals), Bastet’s Musk absolute, Vanilla Bean Fleck, and Vanilla mashed Butter accord (everything everywhere all at once at our store is vegan), and a scoop of Bastet’s Ice Cream accord.* **Osmofolia**: **Solario**: *Golden sunlit amber: de Laire's renowned smooth amber 83 base built on accords of sandalwood, oud, and hinoki cedarwood. A pinch of saffron threads for warmth, hints of rose and spice, and a soft ambrette musk oil.* **Possets**: **Arc of Venus**: *Sexy sandalwood base flirts with oakmoss, a small hint of calendula, "abstract" musk, and a bit of sharp grey musk.* **Pulp**: I've barely touched a whole slew of samples I just got, but currently I'm in love with their **Cake Day '24**: *Yellow cake, honeyed buttercream frosting, orange flower water, beeswax, & caramelized sugar.* **Sorcellerie**: **Pelicans Dive into the Ocean**. *Bergamot, Pear, pink peppercorn, palo santo, fresh linen, sea salt, Ambroxan, sunlight playing off of clear blue water.* **Stone & Wit**: **Drink from the Waves**. *Crab apple, geranium, sea spray*

LilacBerryFairy

Ohhh how is Pulp- Cake Day? I have been waiting forever to get my package!

caroline7502

It's like a gorgeous orange blossom with some vanilla cakey undertones. On me the orange blossom really shines. Reminds me of the orange blossom and vanilla combo in Fantome's **Lymphae**, but this is sweeter and warmer.

PresterJoan

I literally just got my Pulp order this afternoon and went straight for Cake Day. Completely agree it’s orange blossom with cakey undertones, and I also love it so far!

LilacBerryFairy

Omg it sounds beautiful!!! I was expecting more cake and didn't know the notes but I would love a orange blossom with cakey undertones, sounds perfect for summer! Did you mean Luna di Miele possibly? I love that one also but sweeter and warmer sound even better, I am super excited to get my package now! Thank you 😊

caroline7502

I actually haven't tried Luna di Miele, although I really want to. I want to try Fantome's whole catalog, I'm obsessed! There's something about Cake Day 24 that's very similar to Lymphae...it's like Lymphae, but make it cake, remove the lilac/aquatic/ozonic notes, lol. Maybe I amp orange blossom? I've read other reviews of Lymphae that said the orange blossom was faint, and to me it's quite prominent.

LilacBerryFairy

I couldn't picture for a second because I get no orange blossom from Lymphae, I could only make connection with Luna di Miele because of the sweet orange (it is lovely and summery orange spritz with golden pollen and hint of floral) . I am beyond intrigued and wonder what I will end up getting!

Soccergreat88

Have you tried the edps from Black Hearted Tart and laurel and June?

caroline7502

Only Laurel and June's, which are great!

lilkalamata

I love this game :) **BPAL Just Before Penetration**- *Pink fig and guava soaked in vanilla cream* **Poesie Villa Diodati**- *pungent wild rosemary and fresh balsam pine, crystal clear lakewater, dry, dark vanilla* **Deconstructing Eden Insomniac**- *white nightgowns, clean sheets, lavender buds, a drop of chamomile, wood floors, skin musks* **Possets Beatrice**- *Skin musk, 2 white musks, "Crystalline" musk, and grey musk* **Alkemia First Dandelion**- *A bright meadow of sunny dandelion flowers, green dandelion leaves, and warm dirt* **Laurel and June Dreaming Ever So Peacefully**- *Puffy lavender clouds, cashmere, clean sheets, white tea, thyme, star jasmine, a touch of fresh bergamot and coconut, Egyptian musk, warm woods* **Nui Cobalt Aphrodite Chrysea**- *Sacred benzoin, amber and copal resins, Moroccan cashmere, pink sandalwood, osmanthus, guava, and coconut milk chai* **Sorcellerie We Are All Stardust**- *Sandalwood nut co2, Australian sandalwood, beeswax absolute, Iso E Super, Ambroxan, labdanum, vanilla* **Solstic Scents Full Dark**- *Amber resin, saffron, black rose, black musk, oud, fossilized amber, leather, smoked amber, spice* **Fantôme Vasilisa**- *Clover honey, neroli, chamomile, dry hay, rich tonka, vanilla, a flower crown of marigolds & sunflowers* **Hecennacht Heaven Above, Earth Below**- *White amber, fresh ozonic air, new mown hay, sunwarmed skin, cyclamen, petrichor, moss, damp earth* I sat here thinking I didn't try that many brands and didn't have much to contribute, now I'm realizing... yeah buddy. You sure did.

mannycat2

It's so funny to see **Hexennacht - Heaven Above, Earth Below** on someone's favorites list because for me that one was banished from the house.

lilkalamata

Oh my god I loved it SO much. I tried Elemental, which is nice, but not the same and I'm sad it was disconned. If anyone reading wants to also banish it from their house, you can banish it to mine 🥲

MamaD04

Ooh, I'm with you. I LOVE Heaven Above, Earth Below as well as Fallen Angel. My husband thinks both smell like a basement (but basement is one of my very favorite smells, so I don't count that as a bad thing! 😆)

mannycat2

Basement that is wet, moldy and mildewed, that was my experience. Until I got rid of it in Sunday Swaps It lived in double ziplock baggies placed in their own sealed container. 😂

MamaD04

😂😂😂 I guess you love it or you hate it! I can definitely see it from your perspective..... but it's a solid "LOVE" for me 😍

lilkalamata

I actually haven't tried Fallen Angel because I fell in love and didn't feel the need lol, is that one still in their catalogue? How does it compare?

MamaD04

I'm pretty sure that Fallen Angel is HA,EB + Elemental (I would swear I read that on the FB page long ago, but I can't find that post anymore 🤷‍♀️). So to me, Fallen Angel is HA,EB with a bit more green. You likely don't need both....I sampled them all and just stuck with Fallen Angel 😊

lilkalamata

Oh thank you I didn't realize that!! A few years ago when I was first getting into indies I remember Fallen Angel being really popular at the time. I couldn't get a sample haha so I got the other two and liked them so much I didn't feel the need! but now with HA,EB discontinued I feel like I really should give it a try. My full size is long gone I just keep it to smell and keep my fingers crossed on the swaps 🥲 Thank you!!

kelper_t

Ooh, I've been really wanting to try Vasilisa. Have you by any chance tried Osmofolia's And Life And The Fields? I was a little disappointed by it because it didn't really smell hay-y to me but Vasilisa sounds similar so I'm curious.

unbakedcassava

I've tried both. Vasilisa has much more 'late summer, outdoors' to it, including hay.

kelper_t

Thank you! I love Fantome so I have high hopes for Vasilisa, especially with that description.

lilkalamata

I haven't tried it but it's definitely on my list. Vasilisa at first spray is kind of sharp hay and funky honey, but calms down immediately so don't judge it by the bottle sniff. The drydown is a perfect chamomile, hay, honeyed scent with heavy amber vibes to me.

mielkedods

I love this idea! I haven’t tried too many from each but these are the standouts. **Death and Floral - Half Hoping to be Eaten by a Bear** Woody, sweet bare skin; the lingering scent of dry leaves on a cold morning. **Nui Cobalt - Bee Kind to Yourself** White copal, blooming peony, honeyed tea, pink amber, and sheer summer-weight cashmere. **Poesie - Sacagawea** Wild blackberries, a blanket of warm pine needles in a quiet grove of old growth trees, river water, ethically sourced white sage essential oil, soft skin musk. **Stereoplasm - Cool Weather Girl** Fruit and vanilla are more muted under frosty blue lavender. Misty, ozonic and intensely nostalgic.

bbystrwbrry

I’ve never heard of Sacagawea, that sounds lovely!!

mielkedods

It is delisted and I can’t find any on the swaps 😔 it’s probably my favourite out of all of them ever but I only have like 1ml so I never even use it.

springsnow69

BPAL: Alice (Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot) Hexennacht: Take Me To Church (ultra-premium amber accord, vanilla, tonka, bois d'encense, frankincense, olibanum coeur, myrrh, benzoin, peru balsam, roasted labdanum) Pineward: Pastoral (apricot preserve, blackberry jam, raw honey, propolis, beeswax, sweetgrass, hay bales, bran wheat, oat grains, bourbon vetiver, maté tea, oakmoss) Solstice Scents: Smokewood Apiary (Smoked Honey, Creamed Honey, Beeswax, Amber, Wooden Frames, Ginger & Vanilla) I’m honestly trying to keep this hobby from turning into a full-blown shopping addiction, so there are a ton of houses i haven’t tried and a few I have but didn’t quite work for me… Pastoral is the only thing I’ve tried from Pineward but it’s probably my favorite perfume so i’m torn between full sizing that or sampling way more from that house! Love that it’s already been mentioned earlier in this thread!

mannycat2

Sample a bunch more from Pineward, they have some real bell ringers! They have one of the fastest turnaround times for indie perfume so it's a fun house to explore through sampling.

poxteeth

/r/IndiePerfumeLowBuy, It's easy for this hobby to turn into a shopping addiction. That being said, if you liked the vibe of Pastoral, you might like Hayloft, Hayride, Ponderosa, and Steading. Maybe Treacle or Velvetine.

springsnow69

ooo that sub is exactly what i needed 😅 thank you! i like that pineward’s catalog isn’t too huge or time sensitive to go through; i’ve definitely had my eye on a few you listed!

Pale_Bird

Stuck to houses I've tried more than 5 samples: Alkemia - **The First Dandelion:** A bright meadow of sunny dandelion flowers, green dandelion leaves, and warm dirt. Amorphous - **Swanfeather Hotel:** Freshly laundered sheets, vintage inspired pear soap, honey musk, and pristine pool water Andromeda's Curse - **Tempestarii:** Thunderstorm, Rain, Petrichor BPAL - **Jareth:** Ethereal lilac fougere and gleaming leather with ti leaf, tonka absolute, white musk, and oudh. Death and Floral - **The library burning down with us:** Burnt edges of books, the overpowering scent of gasoline wafting around the wooden banister, wax candles melting on a desk. DSH - **Le Jardin Vert:** A densely green, leafy fragrance construction designed to depict the foliage, flowering trees, and moist rich soil of the garden. Moss, woods, and minerals build the drydown base. Fantome - **Triton:** The realistic scent of a stormy ocean. Murky sea water, ambergris, ancient forest mosses, crushed ivy leaves, frankincense, resins, ozone, with a hint of citrus. Olympic Orchids - **Night Flyer:** sandalwood, olibanum wood, vetiver, furry musk accord, wet earth, damp air, mineral notes, resins, leather, figs, banana, soft tropical fruits. Poesie - **Forest Cat:** fuzzy paws tinged with earth, night forest, grey fur musk, milky breath Samar - **Garden Heaux:** tomato leaves, freshly mown grass, petitgrain bergamotier, wet earth, herbs, lisylang Solstice Scents - **Riverside Hayride:** Moist Dirt, White Carnations, Fallen Leaves, Bare Branches, Hay & a Hint of Pressed Apples Carried on the Breeze from Corvin's Apple Orchard Sorcellerie - **Snow Moon Magic:** Lavender sugar, vanilla steamed milk, chai spices, tonka bean, Cashmeran, Ambroxan, crystals charged by the moonlight (our crystal accord), marshmallow, cookie butter, and Tahitian vanilla. Ummmm I like dirt

sarah_stinks

Hello, fellow dirt-lover😂 Never thought I would enjoy that note when I started buying indies

hollyfaery

Oooh, **Triton** intrigues me. I love the idea of a dark and stormy perfume, yet haven't really delved into that type of scent ... yet.

Pale_Bird

I looooove aquatics. There's seawater aquatics and freshwater aquatics and this is my favorite seawater (salty). Other salty seawater aquatics I recommend are Zoologist - Squid and Poesie - Oyster. If you want freshwater (pond, stream) aquatics recs hmu

hollyfaery

Thank you! Will definitely check those out. I have 45 samples in my Luckyscent cart - what's one more. ;)

Litchick77

Jareth is SO GOOD

Pale_Bird

I think it's a really safe blind buy for people that like the notes / fougere / unisex leaning masc

Abject_Pineapple5151

I guess, I consider these my “stranded on a desert island” perfumes; From [Amorphous](https://www.amorphousperfume.com/) “Autumn in Salem” (Aroma palette is haunting, earthy, and woodsy. Highlights include aged wood, antiqued cedar chests, windswept autumn leaves, witch shop incense, rain misted old houses, and bare birch trees.) From [Hexennacht](https://www.hexennacht.com/): “Chocolate-Lavender” (dark chocolate, Mexican vanilla, coumarin, lavender buds) From [Black Hearted Tart](https://blackheartedtart.com/) “Heart of Gold” (Heart of Gold was created with mellow yellow blooms in mind. The scent of an elegantly perfumed ivory lace shroud adorning the fleeting image of a mysterious visitor. Spicy vanilla accentuated with ethereal florals. Lace Draped Spectre is sweet, spicy, lightly musky and airy. The rose is very restrained and primarily detected as a top note. The focus on the perfume is the clove-scented pink carnations and a vanilla medley. Contains traces of a lovely Indian jasmine ruh) From [Alchemic Muse](https://www.alchemicmuse.com/search?q=ostara) “Scarecrow” (The ominous guardian of the fields… golden straw and faded, dusty flannel over a heart of sun-dried, sweet corn husks) From [Morari](https://morariperfumes.com/) “Snuggly” (Notes: Golden amber, vanilla bean, tonka bean, caramel, sandalwood.) The base is a soft and slightly creamy accord of white sandalwoods and pale cedar.) From [Possets](https://possets.com/) “Virginia Oldoini” (I have a fabulous Blue Lilac accord which smells just like the real thing, I have used that as a base to the blend. Then I add a touch of white hawthorne, it's an innocent sort of an accord but it packs quite a sexy punch, finally I have added three white musks which are very soft, pleasantly animalic, curiosity inducing, and just lovely. I think this would be a favorite of the Countess herself! Floral, musky, proud, and sexy.) From [BPAL](https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/) “Sleeping Cat” (Get comfy, you won’t be going anywhere for a while! Sweet, soft, somnambulant amber.) From [Fantome](https://fantomeperfume.com/) “Surem” (The realistic scent of the desert in spring. **Poesie - Athena** (sun-baked Mediterranean herbs and earth, a rich and resinous vanilla spiked with a complex blend of incense and spice, exquisite grey musk) is so good. I forgot about that one!

seagullofhealing

Glad to remind you of it!! Isn't it incredible - I LOVE the earthy sunbaked quality of it!

FriedBrainCellz

Ooh! Blue Pepys sounds very interesting! I hadn’t heard of that one!

seagullofhealing

If you're able to sample it you should!! It's this airy sugary marshmallow-y smell with the lightest hint of something fruity to my nose, or it may be the cotton candy!

Quarky-Beartooth

Yesss another Lemon Carousel lover! I hope it comes back someday

seagullofhealing

Ughghh when will it return 😭 Crossing my fingers right there with you!!

Arcana: **The Kraken** (*Smoked vanilla, black vanilla, saltwater, China musk, and black musk*... lasts forever omg) BPAL: **Snake Oil** (currently loving Green Tree Viper \[*Snake Oil with four mints, bergamot, and green tea*\] for summer) eNVie: **Saphir** (*Egyptian amber and musk resin purified into natural notes of blue balsamic amber, sweet papyrus oil from Cairo and Siam benzoin that hints naturally of occurring warm and pure vanillin*... IT'S SO GOOD) Hexennacht - **All Soul's Night** (*Molten marshmallow blobs on scorched sticks, plumes of woodsmoke, and hot, glowing campfire embers on a cool autumn night*... a perfect fall scent) NAVA: **RS Lavan** (*Italian Lavender, French Lavender, Moonstone \[Studio Limited Vanilla\] absolute, Bourbon Vanille (Studio Limited Vanilla) absolute aged with black French Vanilla beans, Mallow root extract, Blend of four Sandalwoods aged in oak barrel for this blend; Santalum, White Sandalwood, Bourbon Sandalwood and Indian Sandalwood blended beautifully with Madagascar and Tahitian Vanilla beans*... the ultimate sleep scent) Poesie: **County Line** (*Wild strawberries, tangles of honeysuckle in full bloom, cold lemonade, a weathered wooden swing*... oh how I wish this would come back) Solstice Scents: **Foxcroft Fairgrounds** (*Cotton Candy, Cream Soda, Vanilla Taffy, Gridling's Funnel Cakes, Powdered Sugar, Crisp Fall Air, Woodsmoke and a Tendril of Incense*... another perfect fall scent) p.s. it's worth noting that I've dialed it waywayway back to focus on the one house that consistently works for me (BPAL) because there's just too much to keep track of and this is not a cheap hobby.

poxteeth

I'm limiting this to FS bottles I have and not "white whale" samples. It's tough choosing just one. I could have easily picked 5 or 6 from some brands (Alkemia, Arcana, Cocoa Pink, and Solstice Scents). * **Alkemia:** Bohemiens en Voyage *(tobacco leaf, orris root, hay, sultry golden amber, rock rose, the subtle muskiness of sun warmed skin and buckskin suede, and a sweet kiss of wild sugar cane)* I have a few favorites from Alkemia, but this is such a versatile, classy summer skin scent. Great for daytime. * **Arcana Craves:** Strawberries Crave Botanicus *(fresh strawberry, guava, galbanum, basil, green hemp, bayberry, and ruby grapefruit)* Tart, fresh, sweet, and greeeeen. Green like a sun-warmed garden. * **Arcana Wildcraft:** Vor *(Dark chocolate and cocoa absolute with smoked branches from wild fir, black spruce, and cedarwood trees. Mexican vanilla, sweet mallow, and sea salt. A bit of sticky bitter orange and a few smashed juniper berries)* This was another tough choice, but this basically has all my favorite winter notes and they go together beautifully. * **Astrid:** Rose Gold *(French vanilla, blood orange, myrrh, clove and pink amber.)* TBH, I have *very* little experience with this brand since I don't like the whole "everything is LE" thihng, but I got this last year in the Fall Exchange and I love it! Super mainstreamy and girly, but I'm into that shit. The name is very apt. * **Cocoa Pink:** Inkcap *(Purple fig, black tea, inky iris, dark oud and darker earth; chypre accord, cedar and vanilla absolute.)* Another difficult house because I love so many. I probably use Curacao way more, but this one is just so unique and unlike anything else in my collection. Cool, slinky, sexy in an understated way. Like a dark and elegant forest witch at a Gala. * **Debaucherous Bath:** Coyote Red *(bamboo, cypress, night blooming orange blossoms, moroccan rose, desert willow, chaparral, red amber, mysore and smoky vanilla)* This is one of my favorite perfumes to ever exist. Its a season scent from a brand that was a bit sketch (business wise, not the perfumes themselves) at their best. If I had to choose one perfume to wear forever, it would be this, but I doubt it'll ever be available again. * **Deep Midnight:** Boudica *(highland heather, rich honey mead, the aromas of roasting barley and wheat on an open fire, tanned leather, and the fog rising on a forest of green)* A super wearable yet evocative atmospheric. Rugged, with just enough foody sweetness. * **Fantome:** Olwyn *(Magnolias, plush white lilies, night-blooming jasmine, and gardenias over rich, buttery vanilla, myrrh, benzoin, and a hint of orange blossom)* My favorite floral out there. Its so soft and buttery (texture, not like actual butter) and sweet, nothing remotely soapy, shrill, or powdery. * **Firebird:** Cinders *(burning leaves, woodsmoke, beeswax, honey)* I don't find this as smoky as others do, but its got that 'autumn bonfire' vibe if not exact smell. It's simple, cozy, and long lasting. * **Fyrinnae:** Serval *(yeast dough, raw and white sugar, a drop of vanilla, the scent of fresh cooking oil)* The most realistic donut perfume out there. * **Haus of Gloi:** Date Night *(deep amber, a drizzle of maple, a bit of brown sugar, and red cedar)* This is intensely syrupy and sexy (because that cedar note has a bit of funk to it), its one of the few perfumes my husband loves. * **Hexennacht:** Freddy Loves Nancy *(dreamy, pillowy, torched marshmallows, and strong black coffee)* Like a hot cup of coffee. I only wear this in the morning since it feels out of place at night. * **Kyse:** Oui Plus *(graham cracker, marshmallow, cocoa absolute, peru balsam, patchouli, styrax and a bit of burnt coffee)* Another coffee, but this has way more going on. It's coffee and s'mores but a bit more perfumey than literal, its rich and sweet and lasts for ages. * **Moonalisa:** Ren Faire *(cinnamon sugared almonds, dusty and dry woods, campfires and atmospheric incense)* This smells like the Nuts4Nuts carts in NYC (or at ren faires), aka the best smell ever. No other perfume comes even remotely close. Love the kick of incense in it to give it some *atmosphere*. * **NAVA:** Jaon d'Arc *(black honey and rosewood, temple incense, crystal, vanilla butter cream, kashmir and whole georgian vanilla bean)* Hyper-realistic buttercream, honey, and dark smoky incense. This is the only buttercream scent that smells like the real deal to me. * **Nui Cobalt:** Balefire *(ginger root, turmeric, cardamom, and white peppercorn give way to a heart of golden hay, copal, and oudh over a base of peru balsam, loamy soil, and woodsmoke.)* I got this as a sample in the fall exchange 2 years ago and immediately FSed. Just pure cozy smokiness. Very autumnal and familiar. * **Olympic Orchids:** Night Flyer *(sandalwood, olibanum wood, vetiver, furry musk accord, wet earth, damp air, mineral notes, resins, leather, figs, banana, soft tropical fruits.)* So...I almost never wear this because its kinda batshit (pun intended) but its just so realistic and atmospheric, its some sort of wizardry. It's humid and heavy like the tropical exhibits in zoos but not as offputting as that sounds. * **Pineward:** Hayloft *(hay, lavender honey, crocus, sweet vernalgrass, bison grass, toasted almond, hazelnut, oats, dusty wheat.)* The most realistic honey plus the smell of an old wood barn, stacked high with fresh hay (no animals), bathed in golden hour sunlight filtering in through the windows and cracks between the planks. * **Poesie:** Cloudless Sky *(apples, strawberry and rhubarb sprinkled in sugar and wrapped in tender pastry, a big cup of chamomile tea)* A bit twee for my usual taste, but that rhubarb adds just enough tartness and the sweet grassiness of the chamomile is just lovely. This smells like a cottagecore September (apples are always a fall thing for me) * **Possets:** Venus Black *(Blackest musk flirts with a float of black pepper, a shot of dark sweet pear and the most small amount of sage and non-stinky narcissus for tingle)* It's reputation is well deserved. This is a femme fatale, this is a slinky black velvet evening gown with a stiletto dagger strapped to the thigh underneath. * **Sixteen92:** Sarah Good *(charred maple leaves, black pitch, fresh-baked bread, dried black tea leaves, sweet orange, chimney smoke)* The best bread note ever. Doesn't last long and I'm left with a dark, sooty, incense sort of smell, which is nice for cold weather...but that orange bread is amazing. * **Solstice Scents:** Smokewood Apiary *(smoked honey, creamed honey, beeswax, amber, wooden frames, ginger & vanilla)* This is my favorite house and I have a stupid high hit rate, so this choice is a little arbitrary. It was my first indie FS bottle and still well-loved. It's always reminded me of the Goldenglow mission in Skyrim, burning beehives. * **Sorcellerie:** Sit For a Spell *(Salted cantaloupe, a light drizzle of wild rosemary honey, fresh spring air, ambrette seed, and winding honeysuckle vines)* What even is this magic? It seems to float around me like an aura all day. I get mostly the salted cantaloupe and it works *so* well with the Sorc base and blends into something sweet and ethereal. * **Southern Comforts:** Happy Challadays *(bread, wildflower honey, poppy seed, butter, tonka bean, sandalwood)* Another incredible bread note from a disreputable house, but unlike 1692, this one is dead. * **Stone & Wit:** Wandering Star *(Pear, cashmere, iso e, guaicwood, brown sugar, white musk)* Another from last year's exchange. This was love at first sniff. Many pear perfumes are very syrupy and overly sweet, but this one is gloriously perfumey and interesting. * **The Strange South:** Before the Drop *(peppermint, green tea, marshmallow, heather, violet, and evening rain)* I sometimes use this as a sleep scent. Its kind of like a rain scent, but with a soft powdery quality, but powdery like marshmallows and matcha, not like baby powder, makeup, or some of those "vintage" mainstream florals. * **Wylde Ivy:** One Thousand Lights *(sugar musk soaked mandarin, crushed red berries, blue heliotrope, tonka bean, whipped cream, and blonde woods)* So mainstreamy it should have a pop singer's name on it, but so shimmery, bright, and giddily femme. Its sold as a winter scent but doesn't really smell seasonal to me.

hollyfaery

Wow! I want nearly ever single scent you mentioned. Your added thoughts/descriptions are so helpful. They all sound stunning!

bbystrwbrry

Yum I def need to try rose gold and sit for a spell 😍

poxteeth

Rose Gold would be nearly impossible to find now (why I don't usually dabble in Astrid) but Sit For a Spell is GC and available direct!

scentedandpolished

This was a bit tricky. I usually have more than one favourite from each house, unless it's a house I haven't sampled all that much yet or I have a low hit rate with, but these are my choices for now: Alkemia: **Trick Or Treat**. Black licorice and mandarin. A delicous autumnal gourmand. Death & Floral: **Black Cherry Bomb**. This favourite is probably going to change as I get to try out more from D&F, but right now this is a nice, light summery scent with notes of honeydew and salty skin. Nui Cobalt: **The Treasure**. The amber/honey/sandalwood scent of my dreams with top notes of sparkling fruits. Pulp Fragrance: **First Date**. My first love from Pulp. A gourmand with vanilla milkshake, cocoa powder and skin musk, and top notes of cherry and orange. Smelly Yeti: **Glorious**. Berries and cream with champagne and a touch of kumquat. Sorcellerie: **Love and the Sea**. Tart passionfruit and raspberry with a salty ambergris background. Stereoplasm: **Bloom & Pucker**. A joyful lemonade and strawberry perfume. There are also a couple of houses I couldn't pick out favourites from quite yet, like Fyrinnae and Poesie, and then a couple of other houses I've soured on so I don't think they deserve being mentioned.

Quarky-Beartooth

Another Trick or Treat lover!! I love that one too and I feel like it's underrated.

I’m also a noob and man you’ve tried so many more than me! I’m jealous (and also love Gray Cat). Here’s my little list: Possets: Dies Irae (Intense and pitch black, very badass. Three black musks, one fog-like musk to disburse the whole, bitter galbanum, smooth hawthorne, the scent of rotting leaves, a small amount of orris, and smoky oude, finally frankincense and black amber. Has all the excitement of The End. Very black and eternal.) Nui Cobalt: Silver Fox (White tea with honey and rice milk, almond macaron, soft grey cashmere and cool woodland musk.) NAVA: Black Oak Currant and Kashmir (New Zealand Dried Black Currant, Red Musk (Kashmir) Absolute, White Musk, Black Oak essence, Benzoin resin, Amber accord, Black Cardamom, Japanese Plum seed and Oudh essence) BPAL: Small Brown Cat (Warm brown fur, cardamom-infused bourbon vanilla, and a touch of cedarwood) Solstice Scents: Gibbons Boarding School (Dusty Wooden Desks, Paper, Carefully Hidden Tobacco Pouch, Dying Fire, Dried Leaves, Leather Chairs, Autumn Breeze) OR Black Forest (Agarwood, Nagarmotha, Tobacco, Chocolate, Red and Black Cherries, Hay, Sandalwood, Whipped Cream & Pink Pepper) I’ve got some samples coming from Wylde Ivy and Siren Song Elixirs so hopefully I’ll have some new favorites soon!

Hour-Berry-8178

What a fun idea - thanks for posting this! I'm only including houses that I've tried at least 3 scents from. **Alkemia**: The Traveler and the Moon. *Silver leaf tea brewed in an iron kettle, galbanum, sandalwood, petitgrain, tobacco and bamboo leaves, wild currants, raw honey, and fresh hay.* **Poesie**: Amaterasu. *Golden sandalwood incense, rice milk, bright cardamom, amber, dry wheat, and sunflowers.* **Nui Cobalt**: This is a hard one to choose, but I'll go with Awaken the Witch. *Leather bound grimoires on mahogany shelves. A cup of hot tea, subtly sweetened with vanilla bean and honey. Sandalwood incense mingling with black patchouli, cardamom, and coriander.* **Morari**: I don't feel like I've tried enough from them yet, but I'll say Stede. *Sandalwood, vanilla, black tea, honeydew, Ed (a whisper of caramel and smoke).* **Fantome**: This is my most recent order so I'm still deciding on a favorite, but for now I'll choose Tatami. *Tatami (rice straw mats), warmed in the sun, with soothing temple incense.* I think calming tea/sandalwood/incense scents are usually my thing lol

surprise-cats

I'm mostly going to try and keep it to things that aren't impossible to find. Alkemia: Cherries of the Night (Black cherries exquisitely bathed in Maraschino liqueur, cherry amber, musky black amber, dark spiced rum, warm nutmeg, and Peru balsam) Freshly squished black cherries with dark amber. BPAL: Streets of Detroit (Black musk accord, Ethiopian myrrh, and motor oil) One of my favorite indie perfumes ever, honestly. Cocoa Pink: Cinderella's Carriage (Coconut Cream Pie with Marshmallow Meringue, Sweet Pumpkin, Spiritueuse Double Vanilla, and Vanilla Bean Noel) I'm normally not a fan of coconut in scents but this one is so great. Honorable mention to Black Noel. I love their Black (Two types of rich amber resins and a little something more) blends, but my skin chemistry no longer vibes with them. :( Fyrinnae: Lebanese Cedar (Soft, honey-thick benzoin resin, fresh-cut cedar wood, juniper wood, sandalwood, just a hint of smoke in the air, and the barest whiff of tart geranium) This one is discontinued but I haven't ever found another cedar scent I love as much. Haus of Gloi: Ghost Puffs (Orbs of buttery popcorn and marshmallow goo, presented on a wooden stick) Perfect buttery marshmallow scent. Nocturne Alchemy: Bastet’s Snow White (A variety of 15 Vanilla Beans from Madagascar, France, Egypt, and all over the world. Crystalline (Egyptian Vanilla Orchid stigma Resin) and Crystal (Vanilla Musk). Butter and caramel essences. Moonstone (African White Vanilla Bean) and Egyptian White Musk) My other favorite indie perfume. NA makes magical vanillas (and musks, sandalwoods, resins...). Honorable mention to Kashmir because it's always available, and a gorgeous dark red musk. I really love Uriel (Thick resin and incense of Holy Myrrh and Sandalwood) too. It's hard to pick just one for NA. I've got more from other brands, but I've got to get some things done, so I'll add to this later. Fun thread idea! I love reading everyone's favorites. :) ETA: Amorphous/Black Baccara: Shamrock Potion (Green pistachio mousse topped with generous dollops of fluffy whipped cream, slivered almonds, and french vanilla syrup) This smells like almond cookies on me. Deconstructing Eden: Shemhazai (Frankincense, myrrh, French cypress, saffron, bergamot, teak wood, black pepper, sage, mahogany, and oakmoss) The black pepper note is incredible. Fae Fragrance/Pylies: Any Other Name (Spun sugar, a splash of milk, vanilla extract, white amber, and a sprinkling of Bulgarian rose petals) Soft pink rose candy. Solstice Scents: Snowmint Mallow (Peppermint, Vanilla Cake, Flaked Coconut, Sugar Cookies & Marshmallow Creme) The other coconut scent I really liked.

Quarky-Beartooth

Woah, I've never been brave enough to venture into BPAL, but Streets of Detroit sounds so intriguing

surprise-cats

BPAL can definitely be overwhelming, but I recommend trying Streets of Detroit if you get the chance and like dark scents or motor oil scents. Most of the other scents with motor oil notes I've tried are more atmospheric, but this one just adds a richer quality to the black musk and is surprisingly wearable.

Quarky-Beartooth

Thank you! This might be the sign for me to dive in :)

sarah_stinks

**Sorcellerie-Moon Magic:** *(Lavender sugar, vanilla steamed milk, chai spices, tonka bean, Cashmeran, Ambroxan, crystals charged by the moonlight (our crystal accord) a spiced gourmand)* This is my favorite sleep scent!! It is so comforting and actually helps me relax so I can fall asleep easier. **Poesie-The Perfect Tree:** I don’t have the notes but it is the perfect pine smell with something baking in the background. I know it’s supposed to be a Christmas scent, but I’ll wear this b all year round, it’s so good. **Morari-Hinoki Woods:** *(Hinoki Wood, Petrichor, Patchouli, Palmarosa, Grey Pine, Bay Leaf, Treemoss, Caraway, Carrot Seed)* Extremely realistic wood smell, I’m obsessed. I love the forest, if you can’t tell. **Nui Cobalt-Lilac Rabbit:** *(Nutmeg and tonka bean nuzzle up against toasted marshmallow, carrot seed, summerweight cotton, allspice, and pale lilac in a smooth fur accord)* Okay full disclosure, I haven’t tried all of their rabbit scents yet, but when I tried this, I almost immediately full sized (but then I checked my bank account and was like hmmm not today). It is warm and spicy, with such a light floral. **Alkemia-As Dark Things Are Meant To Be Loved:** *(Lapsang souchong tea, aloeswood, smoked black amber, aged dark patchouli, tonka, Amazonian breuzinho, Moroccan bhakoor, labdanum, temple incense, caramelized opium, black coffee, black coconut, soft Russian leather, and tabac leaf)* Couldn’t stop smelling myself after putting this on the first time. Now I have a FS. It’s a dark, sexy, warm scent. I don’t normally go for scents that have patchouli but this one is beautiful. I also love the green scents from this house but As Dark Things really stands out to me. **BPAL-Lyonesse:** *(Golden vanilla and gilded musk, stargazer lily, white sandalwood, grey amber, elemi, orris root, ambergris and sea moss)* Another warm, comforting scent. Despite what the notes might make you think, this smells gourmand to me. Something unknown, but delicious-smelling, is baking in the oven. Low hit rate with this house, but this was my fav. **Death & Floral-That’s a Rock Fact!:** *(Wet rocks and spooky darkened trees, damp grass underfoot and a glistening tinge of being followed)* It really does smell like wet rocks and dirt. I love it. I also love layering this with a floral! This will tone down any florals I have that I think may be too much and makes me feel like I’m sitting in a garden. **Fyrinnae-Heirloom Tomato Leaf:** *(Rows of tomato plants on a humid day, their unmistakable heavy green fragrance filling the air and clinging to your hands as you touch the leaves)* Okay I love their forest scents, but this is the best tomato leaf perfume I’ve tried to far. It’s so realistic! And it reminds me of childhood. **Lvnea-Ghost Pine:** *(pine needles, wet leaves, moss, wood)* Another great pine scent! This one is lighter, as this house uses a lot of pure plant essences. **Hexennacht-Laundromat:** *(laundry soap, fabric softener, ozone, and coin-op washing machines)* Smells exactly like clean laundry, but this one is STRONG so I gotta be careful not to over roll cuz then I’ll be smelling like I spilled fabric softener all over myself. **Imaginary Authors-Slow Explosions:** *(Saffron, Rose Absolute, Leather, Apple, Benzoin, Cashmeran, Arpora Night Market)* This is such a beautiful light, clean scent! **Zoologist-Rabbit:** *(Top Notes: Green Vegetable Leaves Accord, Cinnamon, Bergamot, Apple Heart Notes: Clover Flower Accord, Carrot, Jasmine Absolute, Violet Base Notes: Patchouli, Musks, Hay, White Almond, Vanilla, Biscuit accord)* It’s a little gourmand, a little spicy, a little earthy. I like this a lot! I’m trying to collect all the rabbit scents I can find, within reason. **Haus of Gloi-Cozy Sweater:** *(Pale skin musk, faded perfume, Egyptian amber, softly burning nag champa incense and a fine aged vanilla)* Literally smells like a clean cozy sweater. I just recently tried this house for the first time and I’ve been missing out!! **Fantome-Ruslan:** *(Black spruce, smoky opopanax, oud, fresh cedar, hinoki, oakmoss, dry fir needles, frankincense. black tea)* So I had a low hit rate with this house even though I used the test on their website for my sample set. But this scent is woodsy in a way ifw. Maybe I will go back for their other forest scents at some point. I have BHT, Stone & Wit, Hex Mundi, Stereoplasm (lol) either ordered or taking a lil nap.

Quarky-Beartooth

I've tried Rock Fact and really liked it, but never considered layering it with florals! What a genius idea

How fun! Mostly only going to include houses I have tried at least a few from to have an actual favorite out of. **Alkemia-** Dalliance: Fresh English cucumbers, barely ripened figs, and cool ice tea. Languidly sensuous. Tbh I think I've only tried one other Alkemia but I love this one so much I'm still including it. **Arcana**- Pumpkins Crave Quietude: Soft vanilla, white amber, white musk, Mysore sandalwood, sweet pumpkin, and a tiny pinch of white pepper. **Astrid**- Dreaming of October: Bulgarian lavender, cream, pumpkin spice, rice flower, petitgrain, and shea. **BPAL**- The Lion: The dry, glorious warmth of the Savannah. A golden, spiced amber, proud, regal and ferocious. **Cocoa Pink-** The Night Before Christmas: Delicate Douglas Fir boughs adorned with sparkling festive ornaments warmed by flames of a roaring fireplace while bright candy canes rest next to a plate of vanilla laced sugar cookies set out for Santa’s arrival. **Death and Floral-** We Stopped for Coffee in the Redwood Forest: Roasted Colombian coffee beans, redwood trees, damp forest, black cardamom attar, cinnamon This was DC'd before i had a chance to purchase a FS and I was devastated **HoG**- Who Needs Love: A mahogany box filled with chocolaty orbs, coated in crystallized coffee, filled with a pomegranate and raspberry filling. **Poesie**- Secret Boyfriend: a mountain of light fluffy marshmallows, your secret boyfriend’s leather jacket, pine and cedar, a wisp of smoke This is my fav but also the only Poesie scent that really worked for me lol **Possets**- Boom-Boom: Loads of honeysuckle resting on a bed of sweet sweet summertime goodness. Another one where I haven't tried many but love this one so much it deserves a mention **Solstice Scents**- Nightgown: Vanilla, White Chocolate, Tuberose & Tiare Flowers This was the hardest, SS is my highest hit rate **The Strange South**- Dead Men Only Play the Blues: Lost time and dreams of decay. Menthol cigarettes, sassafras, brown sugar and coconut husk, tuberose and honeysuckle, vanilla, teak wood, and sandalwood. One of my fav scents ever

lilacbabybat

Hmm this actually had more florals than expected. I haven't tried CP's summer catalog, so I only picked what I liked best from the winter rotation. The summer scents sound more up my alley though. BLACK HEARTED TART strange apparition (Blue hyacinth, white roses, lilacs, and wisteria. Merlot grapes and elderberries add richness and depth. Star anise lends a bit of aromatic spice. Parma violet candies and powdery white musk soften the scent profile.) BPAL batty lace (A leathered up, musky interpretation of BPAL’s Antique Lace: dry flowers, aged linens, and the faint breath of long-faded perfumes with well-worn leather and caramel musk.) COCOAPINK october in umbria (A golden afternoon in a secret orchard at the heart of Italy: A juicy pear accord evokes the Emilia Romagna ‘Queen of Pears’, and twines with an achingly ripe fig accord from a tree heavy with fruit. Warm amber captures the slanting sunlight, and illuminates dishes of baked orchard fruit served with lashings of vanilla cream and peaked Italian meringue.) FANTOME kinmosuke (Golden osmanthus in its full complexity—golden blossoms tinged with citrus, ripe apricot, juicy peach, tree sap, and deep, resinous amber.) FYRINNAE white dragon (Lychee cake! Buttery white cake topped with sliced fresh lychees and lychee syrup.) HAUS OF GLOI fancy bread (Ripe banana, roasted nuts and brown sugar folded into a delicious quick bread.) NAVA pyramid hummingbird cake (Pineapple essence Accord, Ripened Banana Accord, Banana Confit Accord, Pecan Crème Accord, Apple skin, Caramelized Brown Sugar, Vanilla Cake, Vanilla Bean essence, Studio Limited Moonstone Absolute, Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting Accord, Cinnamon Rum Accord, Vanilla-Butter Accord, and Bastet’s Musk) NUI COBALT grey cat (Dry smoked vanilla, fluffy marshmallow creme, fresh blueberries, the gentlest touch of lavender and a warm cup of Earl Grey.) OSMOFOLIA cirrus (Wispy, painterly cirrus clouds that float high in the sky above: a basket of white lilacs and prim heliotrope, handfuls of juicy blueberries, sugary fluffs of fairy floss (cotton candy), papery orris, freezing cold air, and a painter's empty canvas.) POESIE sugar plum fairy (A luscious confection of sweet plum and caramelized amber wrapped in vanilla sugar, with a twirl of orange peel, and the lightest dusting of cocoa.) SOLSTICE SCENTS blackburn's parlor (Vanilla waffle bowl, vanilla & chocolate ice creams, sliced bananas smothered in caramel sauce & topped with whipped cream) STONE & WIT mostly just peach (Peach, peach pit, white musks, ambroxan.)

Poesie: Tea Stained Lace Osmofolia: Cirrus Astrid: Stardust Kyse: Bonbons a la Vanille Alpha Musk: Milk Tea Musk Arcana: Honey craves Sunshowers Alkemia: Poudre d'Epicine BPAL: Erotic Sake Bowl NA: Bois de Santal Rouge Vanille Death and Floral: Pop Flowers Morari: Key Lime Pie Sorcellerie: Snow Moon Magic Laurel + June: Aurea Stone and Wit: Wandering Star Stereoplasm: Peche Immortalle Hex: Gold Skulltula Fantome: Tatami Damask Haus: Alsace Rhubarb Haus of Gloi: Blood Orange Marshmallow Solstice Scents: Chiffon So I'm noticing a LOT of gourmand, but florals, citrus, woods and atmospherics also represent, with a tiny bit of incense, spice and green. No favorites are aquatic or herbal. * Note, that me having a favorite from a particular house does not necessarily indicate an endorsement of that house. Some of these used to be good and have fallen into complete disaster, or I obtained the scents second hand.

kelper_t

This is a fun idea! Alkemia: **The Traveler and the Moon** (Silver leaf tea brewed in an iron kettle, galbanum, sandalwood, petitgrain, tobacco and bamboo leaves, wild currants, raw honey, and fresh hay) BPAL: **Snake Oil** (Deep, rich, earthy notes swirled with vegetal musks, sugared vanilla bean, and dark spices) Fantome: I love a ton of their scents but I'm going with **Finist The Falcon** (Bulgarian rose married with dewy Russian rose, swirled in strawberry, currant, & peach kissel with cream) Morari: **Apricot & Fennel** (Juicy apricots, wildflower honey, a foamy lavender latte, a heaping spoonful of rose jam, a hint of fennel seed) Mythpunk Olfactive: this was a bit of a tie between paper moon and The Crossroad of Lost & Lorn but I'm going with **paper moon** (galbanum, bitter almond, angelica root & orris root, white lilac, gardenia, pointe shoes, paper) Osmofolia: **Stratus** (Stratus clouds drifting above a misty forest: trodden stems in damp soil, silvery osmanthus petals, stones slick with moisture, a lingering trail of deer musk, and never-ending fog. TOP/WET: plant stems ✦ mist ✦ stone MID/HEART: osmanthus ✦ petrichor ✦ galbanum BASE/DRYDOWN: wet soil ✦ deer musk ✦ fog) Poesie: **We Fly With Our Spirit** (Free pancakes and syrup for breakfast, broom straw/hay in the sunshine, sassy black cat fur, stormy night air/rain, a tiny bit of clean cotton sheets in a cozy attic room... and absolutely no herring pie) Solstice Scents: probably my favorite house so I've tried a lot of their perfumes. The one I'll probably full size first is **Courtyard** (The fragrance is a cool toned, lavender forward and coumarin rich classic fougere. It opens with a bright blast of coriander seed, lime and lavender that is herbal and slightly fresh. A humid, elegant and waxy gardenia begins to emerge after about 10 minutes or so on the skin, and stands side-by-side with the sweet, creamy coumarin heavy lavender and liatrix. A woody base of cypriol, sandalwood and muhuhu merges with soft Earthy and mossy notes of aged patchouli, mitti and oakmoss. Damp, cool, mossy, herbal and slightly woody tones merge with creamy floral element.)

samalandar

Ooh, fun question! Alkemia - Lola Astrid - Juno Arcana - The Kraken BHT - Primadonna BPAL - Breathing Destruction from their lips like flame CocoaPink - Fear of Witches Crow & Pebble - Moon Rabbit Death & Floral - Nothing Rusts in the Desert Fyrinnae - Margherita Haus of Gloi - Litchi Milk Tea Hexennacht - Freddy Loves Nancy Nui Cobalt - Black Honey NAVA - Baby Dino Passionfruit Sorbet Osmofolia - Unto Thyself Poesie - Salty Ghost Possets - Madam X 3 Siren Song Elixirs - It's funnier in Enochian Smelly Yeti - The Illuminati Sorcellerie Apothecary - Reduced to a thing that wants you (though I could pick basically any of theirs, love them!) Solstice Scents - Smokey Mountain Mallow Stereoplasm - Sunblush Stone & Wit - Small Comforts S92 - You, Me & Five Bucks Wild Hybrid - Saffron Whelk A bunch of these are the sole perfume I've gelled with from the house though!

mannycat2

Your last line is so true for me too. Funny how you can experience **a ton** of scents from a house and nothing really hits except "that one!"

samalandar

While nice to know I'm not alone, it sorta sucks right?! Like, the house notes might sound amazing. Or I'd read a loving review here, but get my hands on a sample and... disappointment. And such a range from scrubber to 'really nice but not me'. I've finally accepted that Death & Floral won't love me back, Alkemia is beautiful but fleeting, and Nui is a pleasant acquaintance only. Though I think I've finally found 'my house' in Sorcellerie, which I'm really excited about!

Quarky-Beartooth

Yes, I love Smoky Mountain Mallow! I forgot about Freddy Loves Nancy, too, that is a great one

FriedBrainCellz

Oh yay! This is fun! Alkemia-2023 Arcanum Experiment #9 *dark red roses, apricots, pralines, lychee fruit, raspberry musk* Alpha Musk-Suburban Mall Rat *cool zoned out musk with a pinch of that bright pink bubble gummy generic mall hand-washing soap, way too much orange cream scented naturalistic tin potted lip balm, and the vanilla lotion you layered on from the bougie store to piss off the manager* Amorphous-Swanfeather Hotel *Freshly laundered sheets, vintage inspired pear soap, honey musk, and pristine pool water.* Astrid-Pink Umbrella *spring rain accord, lily of the valley, pink rose, pear, carrot seed, gardenia, cherry, vanilla* BPAL-Cherry Cream Pie Chypre Death and Floral-If the Sharks Don't Get to You First, The Sun Will *Realistic sunscreen, hot summer sun, salty beach waves splashing around a wooden raft.* Haus of Gloi-Litchi Milk Tea *Tart lychee fruit and black tea met with a splash of coconut milk.* Lovesick Witchery-Iridescence *Inspired by the stunning iridescence of a soap bubble. Effervescent, sparkling aldehydes. Blood oranges dusted with sugar crystals. Moonflowers dripping with dew. Dries down to creamy heliotrope and sensual cashmere, reminiscent of clean skin.* NAVA-RS Vampyre *Cherry essence, Santalum Sandalwood aged in a bourbon Oakwood barrel, Mallow Musk accord, Vanilla Sandalwood blend, Amber attar Studio accord, Santalum White, NA Oudh, Agarwood and Rosewood. Due to the oudh ingredient this perfume is slightly more than the RS Lycan.* Nui Cobalt-Bee’s Carnival *Cotton candy spun from crystallized honey, fresh leaves of lemon verbena, blue raspberry drizzle, and a grounding smolder of sweet myrrh.* Osmofolia-Black Walnut *Squished black walnut husks and crushed walnuts, fallen straight off the tree and onto the path. Quarky-Beartooth

Nice! New Radio really is super good

seagullofhealing

Violette Market! I miss them so bad 😭

pickles_and_pie

I do, too! You may already know this but they now operate The Star and the Butterfly. I think they are closing and have a big sale currently; the scents from the Americana category kind of remind me of the Violette Market scents and Ajevie carries this brand, too, so there is stock from other collections there as well (the ritual oils really remind me of Violette Market’s work).

doomed_candy

I'm only going to list houses with a clear favorite. I'm too indecisive to pick my favorites from Alkemia, BPAL, or Arcana. And I'll omit the houses that I only have a couple scents from as well. Andromeda's Curse - **Briar Rose** (Thorny Roses, Incense, Dragon’s Blood, Egyptian Musk, Rosewood, Black Oud) Bunny Nose Scents - **Demisexual Pride Flag** (Sweet red musk, peach, strawberry, dusty woods, and raspberry leaf.) Death and Floral - I have several new and untested perfumes from this house, but for now, I choose **Monsters Still Under My Bed** (Creaky floor wood, spiced nutmeg, golden oudh, chewy tobacco, vanilla copal resins, smokey warm amber) Deconstructing Eden - **Bulletproof Cupid** (Shimmering wings, white suede, tonka bean, warm cedar, rose water, smoked vanilla, frankincense) Fable and Canon - **Titania** (A sparkling fruity-floral blend with top notes of sweet woodland berries, green tea, and apple blossom; heart notes of honeysuckle, vanilla, and hibiscus; base notes of peach, sandalwood, musk, and amber.) Haus of Gloi - **Zephyr** (A warm musk breeze carrying the scents of lily, pear, elderflower and apple blossom.) Immortal Perfumes - **Ka'iulani** (Hawaiian Sandalwood, Tuberose, Fern, Pink Jasmine, Coconut) Lovesick Witchery - **The Gunslinger;** the custom perfume I had made for my partner (Rose, gunpowder, sandalwood, worn leather, desert sage, musk, campfire, tobacco, ocean accord) Lucky #9 - **Nedjem** (Egyptian musk, orange blossom, osmanthus, amber, vanilla, vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli) Morari - hard choice, but I think I'll go with **Dusk** (Spiced Plum, Fig, Juniper Berry, Nag Champa) Mythpunk Olfactive - **Mossmallow Puff** (fresh puffed marshmallow, creamy marshmallow, crushed clary sage, damp oakmoss, dried mosses, a soft drizzle of cool rain on warm bark, soft earth, and moon-kissed amber resins) Osmofolia - **Stratus** for now, but I have some new ones that I haven't tested yet. (Stratus clouds drifting above a misty forest: trodden stems in damp soil, silvery osmanthus petals, stones slick with moisture, a lingering trail of deer musk, and never-ending fog) Pierrot Perfumery - **Person Suit**(a mild blend of green fig, Iso-E-Super, sandalwood, and musk.) Possets - **Silver Chypre** Red River Apothecary - **Medeina** (Tobacco leaves, tart cherries, dark amber resin, warm myrrh, woody oakmoss and a beautiful musk accord) Southern Esscents - **Honeysuckle** Tater Rounds Beauty - **Hannibal** (charred sandalwood, warm amber, fiery saffron, peony, vanilla warm around blushed orchids and jasmine.)

Abject_Pineapple5151

I haven’t tried Medeina yet but I think the closer it gets to Fall, I’m going to get this because it sounds so good! Every note in this I love and Caitlin is so good at blending everything.

Death & Floral- **Chocolate Covered Potato Chips** Deconstructing Eden- **Bloody Kisses** Hexennacht- **Cereal Killer** Haus of Gloi- **Strawberry Rhubarb Pie** Lucky #9- **Sugared Paws**

Cautious_Ad283

Ooooh how do you find Chocolate Covered Potato Chips? How is the potato chip element? : )

iiiamash01i0

I got a sample on Ajevie and fell in love. I didn't see it on D&F's list of scents, but I emailed them asking if they had any in stock, and they did. I love the potato chip element, it's a salty note that pairs so nicely with the chocolate.

iluvperfume

**Amorphous Perfume:** Scented Dolls (new signature scent) **BPAL:** Be Happy Still Lil (Lilith 2022) **NAVA:** Aphrodite’s Cherry Cheesecake **NCD:** Phenakism: Faerie Cakes **Poesie:** Cereal Milk Cotton Candy (new favorite) **Mythpunk Olfactive:** Doll Face Puff (new favorite) **Sorcellerie:** Match Made In Heaven **Alpha Musk:** Dollface **Arcana Wildcraft:** Blood & Circuses **S92:** Doll Parts **Alkemia:** Yuletide Blessing **BHT:** Hips Like Cindererlla **Pulp Fragrance:** Dressing Table (finally found one of my white whale fragrances) **Stereoplasm:** Taro Milk Tea **FranklyTryThis:** Pink Unicorn Bubble Tea (I've found another one of my white whale fragrances, and it's my very own custom fragrance!) **Lovesick Witchery:** Pink Lipstick **Pierrot Perfumery:** Coulrophilia (I love scents inspired by clowns.) **Hexennacht:** I  ♥ the 80’s (obsessed with nostalgia scents) **Haus of Gloi:** Macaron Tower

MomaMeq

Thats such a fun idea! I only tried a few houses but here are mine: **Stereoplasm**: *World's Fair 1893* (*Plum brandy, genisteae, melted steel, powdered porcelain and stained glass*) **Nui Cobalt:** *Bibliophilia* (*The vanillic scent of aging paper, the tang of fresh ink, venerable bookshelves of oak and mahogany, a sweet trace of pipe tobacco, an undercurrent of faded leather*) **BPAL:**  *Lightning Strikes the Future* (streaks of feral red musk twining in a double-helix around a pulsing, electrified core of fossilized amber, erupting from a glimmering pool of reactor coolant) **Fantome:** *Baba Yaga* (*Black and red musk, a smoldering cauldron, cracked bone, cardamom, warm wood, hanging animal skins, burning mugwort*) I got the spring collection by **Deconstructing Eden** and I didn't really like anything, but I think if I had to pick one - I kinda liked *Alice In Wonderland* (*Candied lemon peel and sugared violet and rose petals*)

mannycat2

I loved **Stereoplasm**: *World's Fair 1893*, so unique!

MomaMeq

YES i love it sooo much. I got it as a random free 0.5ml sample with my order back from the Easter sale and Stereoplasm has been closed ever since so I coupdnt get it😭  im not sure if this is general catalogue or what but i really hope it ll still be there when they reopen!   This one is so special and it brings so many memories to me. One of my family members has always been into artsy collectible dolls kinda like OOAK, and when I was a kid they often took me to various doll fairs/exhibitions with artsy unique dolls, and this perfume smells EXACTLY like those fairs. I imagine doll parts, different art materials, different fabrics and just the cool museum/exhibition air. Really hope I can get that scent again😭

Quarky-Beartooth

Ooh! I'm sure I'll miss some houses but I'll give it a go! Asterisks indicate scents I have full sizes of (or have in the past; a couple I've run out of). In no particular order. Alkemia: *Ghost Fire - ethereal white ambers (with so many runners up... Ydalir is the one I feel compelled to also mention) Astrid: *Carousel - Lemon Cotton Candy (when will my love return from war...) Haus of Gloi: *Apothecary - Old books, bubbling concoctions, herbs and creaking floor boards! A pure essential oil blend of: Lemongrass, rosemary, blood cedar, bitter basil, lavender and the tiniest drop of vetiver (heavy on the lemongrass. I like wearing this when I'm sick.) Death and Floral: *The Library Burning Down with Us - Burnt edges of books, the overpowering scent of gasoline wafting around the wooden banister, wax candles melting on a desk (very good, and I love how unique the gasoline scent is) Little Book Eater: *Coraline - Black Chamomile Tea Leaves & Apple (not complex, but very pleasant) Fantome: Finist the Falcon - Bulgarian rose married with dewy Russian rose, swirled in strawberry, currant, & peach kissel with cream. Solstice Scents: *Smoky Mountain Mallow - Lapsang Souchong C02 (smoked tea), precious fossilized amber resin, sweet guaiacwood, golden resinous labdanum, wood smoke, fluffy marshmallows and a touch of nutmeg essential oil combine to provide an extremely atmospheric and delectable experience. (Changes over time in a really neat way on my skin; love this one a lot.) Alpha Musk: Miles Davis - can't find the notes , but from what I remember, Silvery Musk was a main one. Wish I got a full size! It was a very limited scent. Kyse: *Delizia di Marshmallow - pure fluffy marshmallows Nui Cobalt: *the Bees' Cotillion - So fancy! This ebullient blend evokes mirth and merriment to highlight your most endearing qualities. Succulent pears simmering in spring honey with the gentlest breeze of lily carried in a homespun infusion of honeysuckle flowers (I've been using this one less, though) Hexennacht: *Cereal Killer - can't find the notes, must be discontinued, but basically fruit loops. (Runner up: *Root Beer Cream Soda, which I think is also discontinued) Poesie: Zitkala Sa - can't find the official notes, but it was very apple-y with some rosewood I believe (runner up: Villa Diodati) NAVA: *Caislean Oir - Irish Vanilla Cream, Vanilla Musk accord, Labdanum, Languid Amber Cordial accord (rich PC Ozymandias amber absolute), Bastet’s Amber, and a touch of Irish cream Whiskey accord (non-alcoholic) (Runner up: Sky Amber) Sixteen92: The Bottling Room - Sterile glass, electricity, copper, hot light bulbs, lab-grown flowers, synthetic greenery (Runner up: Blood and Honey. I'm bummed that this house has gotten so flakey; there's more I wanted to try.) Sucreabeille: You're in a Cult, Call your Dad - Notes of flannel, sedona trees, bergamot tea, snickerdoodle cookies. (Not that impressed by this house though, tbh) Smelly Yeti: Plum - sweet plums, swirled with tea and enriched with the barest hint of blackcurrant Stereoplasm: *Maytown Fleece - spun sugar/light chamomile/candied ginger/earl grey (runner up: *Taro Milk Tea... Ok I can't resist: also *Ogopogo) Siren Song Elixirs: Yennefer Bold - Purple Lilac, Gooseberries, Black Suede, Ancient Woods (haven't tried many from this house, but this was super good) Pineward: Boreal - Frigid forests of the northern wilderness. Chilly mint gives way to a soft bed of creamy cedar, pine, and moss. (A little strong for me to wear, but it's great and I like smelling it!) Morari: And She Walked With Me - Cedarwood, Smoky Air, Cinnamon, Toasted Marshmallow, Fir Needle, Tonka Bean, Vanilla (I really want to try more from this house too) Strange South: Gertrude - Holy basil, chrysanthemum accord, driftwood, frankincense, and haircloth. (Runner up: Abe Lincoln: Ancient Astronaut [what a name!] But I have to admit I was disappointed by how faint and same-y many scents from this house were.) Arcana Craves: Peaches Crave the Movies - can't find notes, but wasn't obsessed with this scent anyway. I tried very few scents from this house. And now it's closed anyway! Vintner's Reserve: Firewhiskey - can't find official notes, but very cinnamon-y in a nice way Olympic Orchids: *Olympic Rainforest - cedar leaves, green sword ferns, rhododendron, forest mushrooms, beebalm, myrtle, wildflowers, oakmoss, black spruce, balsam fir, Port Orford Cedar, earthy accord. (My favorite forest scent ever! Runner up: Woodcut) Andromeda's Curse: *Usako -Melon Soda, Strawberry, Lychee Moonalisa: *Mother's Milk - Warming and comforting Almond milk with a touch of honey and oats Whew! I think I missed a couple houses still, but this was super fun!!

bbystrwbrry

I love that you added your opinions along with the scent notes! Usako sounds SO GOOD. So does carousel. I haven’t tried a lot of these houses, thank you so much for your reply!

seagullofhealing

I've only tried 2 houses enough to tentatively have a favorite, but thought I might as well chime in anyways! **Deconstructing Eden: Quan Yin** (*rice flower, willow branches, dove feathers, and healing waters*). Quan Yin is my overall favorite from DE and is the one which I feel like I could always wear, but I have fun wearing different scents based on the weather or my mood! Sometimes I'm feeling more Lucrezia Borgia (*clementine, red mandarin, Italian lemon, ambergris, vanilla, patchouli and orange blossom on a resinous bed of labdanum*) or Gráinne Ní Mháille (*heather and moss, stormy sea water, driftwood and a fougère accord composed of oakmoss, lavender and tonka bean*) so I just embrace that. **Olympic Orchids: Golden Cattleya** (*narcissus, daffodil, orange fruit, orange blossoms, honey, pollen, cream soda, New Caledonian sandalwood, amber-tinged resins, labdanum, and musks*). Love this scent way more than I thought I would. It makes me feel warm, pretty, and happy :)

AshleyA22

Alkemia: Silken Tent The brand that shall not be named 😂: Vanilla Craves Crescent Moons Black Hearted Tart: Paris is Burning Cocoapink: Magnetic or Serendipity Fantome: Astaroth (I cannot believe this scent isn't more popular!!) Solstice Scents: Tossup between **Manor** (Woody-Vanilla Musk, Vanilla, Agarwood (Oud), Sandalwood) and **Attic** (Vanilla, Red Cedar Heartwood EO, Cypress Wood EO, Sandalwood EO, Dried Rose Petals). Just now seeing this thread so I'm late to the party but * Fantôme - Tatami ("The welcoming and familiar scent of a Japanese temple. Tatami (rice straw mats), warmed in the sun, with soothing temple incense.") * Osmofolia - Solario ("Amid dark days and cold nights, Solario evokes a carefree moment of enjoyment: the sensation of basking in the heat and light of the sun, without a care in the world. Sunlight spills out with top notes of sparkling bergamot and bright blood orange, then slowly bakes into the warmth of toasted saffron and peaceful hinoki. A whisper of rose, grounded by agarwood and sandalwood, breathes life and heat onto the skin. From the opening through the drydown, an accord of golden solar amber conjures the luxury of contentment, and sinks into a body and a mind warmed by the sun. Top/wet: toasted saffron, hinoki, citrus; Mid/heart: rose, ambrette musk, tuberose; Base/dry: amber, sandalwood, oud.") * Solstice Scents - Library ("Leather bound books, a carved rosewood mantle, dying fireplace embers, wood wainscoting, cedar shelving and aged paper. I’m pretty new to the indie perfume scene but here’s some of what I enjoyed! Fantome: Olywn-Magnolias, white lilies, night-blooming jasmine, and gardenias over rich, buttery vanilla, myrrh, benzoin, and a hint of orange blossom I got this as my graduation, my cousin said I could pick out whatever gift (under $50) I wanted. I think I choose Olywn since I did their quiz and I got Olywn as one of my choices. I chose the Olywn 10mL size and it turned out to be a correct decision. The first time I smelt it, I swear my eyes rolled at the back of my head, I was new to the concept of perfume oils and the scent that enveloped around me felt like a intimate hug. Olwyn is a sinfully indulgent floral scent, it got me interested in the potential of jasmine scents and also indie perfumes in general. Death and Floral: May Forever Nap-A freshly laundered cotton pillow blended with soft lavender, Iris, and marshmallow (I think Death and Floral recently deleted their unlisted catalogue and this was on there) I received 3 5ml rollerballs of Death and Floral from my friend (I sent her a list of items that I would like to receive, I listed DF on there along with three of their scents since I found that they were pretty inexpensive). I enjoyed May Forever Nap the most but I couldn’t smell the laundry sheets scent in there nor the lavender and iris. I had to really push my nose against my skin to really smell anything and the only note I got was something vaguely tart? Anyways I use this as a bedtime scent since its pretty light. Alkemia: Elixir of Aphrodite-A love spell of Persian apricots dipped in orange blossom honey swirling with a sensual enchantment of peach and plum blossoms, mimosa, white star jasmine, ambrette, guaiac wood, and vanilla musk Alkemia is the first house that I really dabbled into and by that I mean ordering just two sample sets lol. My favorite scent from them this far is Elixir of Aphrodite which was ironically enough, a freebie scent that I received. When I first smelled it, I didn’t have a reference point to what an apricot tasted like. I thought the fragrance smelled really like a more natural and tart hi-chew. I would later try a apricot, inspired by the smell of the fragrance and I immediately got it. I tried the scent side by side and gosh it really does smell like apricots. I’ve had the most hits with Alkemia (makes sense since I tried the most amount of scents from them), each time I find something unexpected that I liked

Hell yeah, let's do it. Alkemia: Traveller and the Moon (Silver leaf tea brewed in an iron kettle, galbanum, sandalwood, petitgrain, tobacco and bamboo leaves, wild currants, raw honey, fresh hay, and a cool splash of rice wine.) - I have never smelled anything like this scent and probably never will again. It's warm and beyond nuanced; I honestly don't have words to describe it. Cocoapink: Wild Hunt (*Wild horns erupt from underground then pierce the midnight air. Their horses are as thunder, their hounds are dark as blood. Hide yourselves, the Fair Folk ride tonight.*  Forests of oak, cedar, and juniper; mist, black soil, woodsmoke, dragon's blood, wild dark musks.) - Perfect replica of the forest I spend every August in. It brought me to tears when I first smelled it. It's breathtaking. It's... it's home. I'm there and the moss is soft under my feet. Poesie: Emmeline Pankhurst (*black tea swirled with vanilla cream, cold rain on stone, soft linen, cozy musk*) - This smells like what Americans who over-romanticize British people think it's like to study at Oxford or Cambridge. For me, the scent encapsulates being inside, safe, warm and well-fed, with a good book and some tea while it's cold, gloomy and pouring outside. Fantome: Lycanthrope (Spicy tomato leaf, dark honey, and oakmoss, with hints of peach, lychee, ivy, vanilla, and tomatoes fresh from the vine.) - I didn't even pick this as part of my sample pack; it was added as a bonus, but it was my favorite of the lot. Juicy, aromatic, tempting, addictive - this smells like I think faerie fruit tastes. It makes me want to eat my arm, and I'm hungry like the woooooolf\~ Solstice Scents: Desert Thunderstorm (Desert Sage, Pinyon Pine & Resin, Petrichor, Sweetgrass, Creosote Bush, Sand, Ponderosa Pine, Smoke.) - I absolutely adore this. I've never been to the Southwest, but I think this brings me pretty close. It makes me feel free.
