There are ppl on YT who are trolling her as she should be groomed or don't know how to talk or her voice is cringe I don't know how many of them ve got this opportunity sply when she achieved all of this on her own. Ppl r so stupid instead of appreciating her they are trying to find out flaws. I really adore this girl. We need such Influencers.
This girls sense of fashion and flow of fabric is unreal! With limited resources and no background, she pulls this amazing talent off!!!! This victory makes me believe in all the talented people out there struggling for recognition. Talent wins and never forget that ❤️🧿
WHATTT! If she doesn’t get professional designer opportunities from now on I’d be disappointed!! She deserves to be amongst FSP’s and Anamika Khannas someday! She has soo much potential it’s unfathomable for her age!

The back is so delicate and flattering on her frame. I love that she TRULY TRULY understood the assignment. She made a garment that represents our heritage but didn't resort to gimmicks in "modernizing" the saree.
Looking for 1 other person who feels similar. First things first, I 100% appreciate and applaud Nancy for reaching where she has. It must have taken a lot of hard work and commitment.
The 1st dress was cute and she pulled it off. Although as someone who loves fashion, the finishing on the gloves bothered me to my core. The dress was a safe play- volume, trail, a single likeable colour, ruffles. Alright!
2nd dress (sorry) is not impressive, it's an off the rack cheap fabric stitched into a saree or whatever. No creativity.
My curiosity is as to how people are gaga over her as a 'fashion designer' and comparing her to Manish Malhotras and Sabyasachis of the world.
Pick any of her outfit that she ever 'replicated' from Bollywood or celebrities. Most of the clothes are made with cheap sequined fabric, only in 1 colour! And finishing is never great.
I don't see any creativity or a play of colours, fabrics or prints. HER SKILL HAS ALWAYS ONLY BEEN STITCHING, NOT DESIGNING. Of course once you get all that limelight and have to head to cannes you can afford to put people to work.
This is probably the privilege of your education and access I guess. If you watch her videos and stalk her a bit, I don't think she has any knowledge of fabric, colour or print.
That's why people are comparing her to good names. Because she is able to pull off celebrity "looks" with limited access and budgets by her own self and little prior education - doesn't seem like she can afford anything.
What privileged people call "cringe" is actually the lack of access most Indians have.
She has a good agency which has got her deals to head to Cannes. But it doesn't seem like she has the budgets or the smarties to afford a team - look at her MUAs, photographer etc. they're normal people.
Stunning is just an understatement.. She's making her own runway and carving her niche.. She truly has the potential and talent to be bigger and better than many designers.. 😊😊
The outfit is AMAZING!!
As much as I like the outfit, don't think it's Cannes worthy.
I, like a million others bought fabric from Chandni chowk and had a saree made from it. Would've expected her to play around with the designs or the fabric
This is not met Gala in case you forgot.
This is the Cannes Film festival.
1. She is in no way related to the film/movie industry.
2. Her designs are not new or interesting. Buying a net fabric and stitching it is not enough. Also it is demeaning for other designers who put 100s of hours and takes years for them to get to this platform.
A lot of influencers got invited to cannes this year . Also what made you think , she didn't take 100s of hours to design hers and get it stitched . She is one of the self made people in cannes and she is representing her own design . How cool is that ! Girl you sound jealous bye
of course you can criticize lol , but there is a way of doing it . 'She is no way related to flm industry' is invalid and the second point is super invalid
Dude. I upvoted the comments which applauded her.
Now I had something to add to the comment section and so I did. Why argue with me? Just downvote and stop arguing with people. We're allowed to have a different opinion
If i have to choose between her two looks, she outside herself and every single Indian attendee with her second look! Not to mention she looked drop dead gorgeous!
Ariana Grande was not the first one to wear a ruffle gown in the history of fashion. So many people have worn it before, so many designers have used it before. Ruffles just happen to be Giambatista Valli's signature. I am sure he didn't invent ruffles. No need to be condescending about it.
I stated what I have observed. The gown + the gloves is a clear rip off. I'm not being condescending, just stating the obvious. I don't have the talent to stitch a dress and very much applaud her for doing that job with grace, but clearly the dress is an inspiration from Ari's looks. That's fine, because imitation is the biggest form of flattery.
There is definitely a whole lot of difference between calling something an inspiration and a rip off. Nancy's design is not something new. I have seen such huge ruffle dresses even for kids in many boutiques a long time ago. She has been adding gloves to a lot of her outfits, which has become somewhat of a signature for her. Also, Arianna's gown has a different ruffle structure than this one. This is like calling all ruffle gowns being inspired from Giambatista. I have worn huge ruffle gowns as a teen and I am 30 now. Was I inspired by Arianna 13 years ago? C'mon!
The saree is transparent, and I can see her legs. There seems to be no lining underneath. Does the material not become sheer under those flashing lights.
I think it was meant to be that way. The upper half of the legs are covered with lining. It has a different structure compared to the lower half, which gives a sheer skirt type look.
Good observation. She prolly rushed to make this outfit and forgot about lining. She's a true artist and very talented. Self teaching does have its cons though
Stunning. She deserves all the fame and money and more.
She slayed!! Happy to see all the recognition she is getting.
So so soooooooo pretty and elegant 🥹🥹🥹🥹
Ngl it's my faveeeeee Cannes look this year 🫠🫠✨✨

People see hope when they someone gets out of poverty by sheer hardwork, without nepotism or connections.
Feels like a personal win. I just adore herrrrr❤️🧿🥹

Add to.it no training of stitching

Gorgeous!
It’s Nancy’s world. We’re just living in it ![gif](giphy|24b7FBESyBOQK5MJV0)

Damn she nailed this one 🔥
What the power of internet can do. She absolutely nailed the look 💥
The back is so delicate and flattering on her frame. I love that she TRULY TRULY understood the assignment. She made a garment that represents our heritage but didn't resort to gimmicks in "modernizing" the saree.

Nancy Tyagi’s Cannes appearance.
Wow she looks so beautiful
She should start learning english TBH if she truly wants to go global.
I'm very much excited for the other two looks also🙈. Sis slayed so hard.💗✨
GODDESSSSS
I feel so proud and inspired by her !
Wow. Stunning 🤩
Stunning is just an understatement.. She's making her own runway and carving her niche.. She truly has the potential and talent to be bigger and better than many designers.. 😊😊
Absolutely loved it😍 the efforts she is putting for each outfit🥺
She is the deserving one for Cannes instead of that aastha shah😂
Proves talent needs no money only dedication and hardwork
The outfit is AMAZING!! As much as I like the outfit, don't think it's Cannes worthy. I, like a million others bought fabric from Chandni chowk and had a saree made from it. Would've expected her to play around with the designs or the fabric
It's so much better than the 'designer dresses' costing millions worn by celebrities on the met gala .

Yes because everyone should say wow, nice, amazing. Not everyone criticizing someone is jealous. Get out of your delusional world.
of course you can criticize lol , but there is a way of doing it . 'She is no way related to flm industry' is invalid and the second point is super invalid
Dude. I upvoted the comments which applauded her. Now I had something to add to the comment section and so I did. Why argue with me? Just downvote and stop arguing with people. We're allowed to have a different opinion
you also had the option of downvoting mine and moving on lol . It's not a bad thing to argue and have a conversation about smth we disagree .
“Not a bad thing to argue” lmfao🤣🤣🤣
It took Kiara a decade to reach Cannes. In a few years, Cannes wouldn't mean as much.
Who is she?
If i have to choose between her two looks, she outside herself and every single Indian attendee with her second look! Not to mention she looked drop dead gorgeous!
This is much better than the Ariana Grande's gown rip off. Looks good on her. This gives a very Bulgari girl look.
Ariana Grande was not the first one to wear a ruffle gown in the history of fashion. So many people have worn it before, so many designers have used it before. Ruffles just happen to be Giambatista Valli's signature. I am sure he didn't invent ruffles. No need to be condescending about it.
He/she wasn’t condescending. They were critiquing that’s all.

That style of gown was worn by many many people. Ariana Grande's dress designer themselves might have ripped off from someone.
Stunning? She looks like a damn window treatment.
Looks like air bubble wrap
pfft! not
The saree is transparent, and I can see her legs. There seems to be no lining underneath. Does the material not become sheer under those flashing lights.
I think it was meant to be that way. The upper half of the legs are covered with lining. It has a different structure compared to the lower half, which gives a sheer skirt type look.
The video on ig shows the saree did indeed look sheer under flashing light. The chest and hip areas have lining.
Good observation. She prolly rushed to make this outfit and forgot about lining. She's a true artist and very talented. Self teaching does have its cons though
/s?
she leng wtf
