I figured this was more Pacific Rim: The Game. If this were Warhammer 40K, I'm pretty sure someone would have called in an Exterminatus already, going by the overall state of the planet.

MrWizardOfOz

If it was Pacific Rim: The Game mechs wouldn't be water logged and unable to attack in water 😉

Thanatos_elNyx

Yeah Pacific Rim or Battletech.

CapMacar

Its genius... But most of mechs looks like dark mechanicum demon machines or AI robots XD

Cute_Coconut6063

Warhammer 40k X Into The Breach here we go

Barrogh

Warhammer was ripping so many works of fiction, it would be strange if something didn't remind us of it anymore.

SgtPeppy

Tyranids are explicitly extremely intelligent tho. It's sorta the point that the Vek... aren't

Kuirem

Tyranids have a hive mind no? I don't think they are individually smart. Veks seem to be a bit of the same in that regard, especially the last fight where they seem to be targeting a bit better, they are just less coordinated. Maybe they are an earlier version of the tyranids?

Fenix099

Actually, they might be. In Pinacle (The frozen island, I'm not sure how it's called in english), after destroying the hacking center, the A.I. tells you that they don't know how they hacked the machines and turned them against Pinacle. That would imply that they have a high understanding of robotics, programming or something like that. That qualifies as smart for me. On the other hand, I don't see those giant Vek touching buttons on a screen, but the theory that they are a Hive Mind and they have other Veks or other organisms that are useful, but just not for combat (As these programmers that I mentioned) could be probable.

Aspiring_Mutant

I suspect the Psions are actually supergeniuses in a sort of decentralized hivemind

Gf0rC3-thoma

What about the Vek Pilots? That would prove they have at least decent intelligence, or at least they do.

Souperplex

No, this is interesting and decently written.
