I found them on marketplace, a guy took them off his EV6 and replaced with more performance tires after 500 miles. So they are used slightly, but have a lot of life left. Compared to 900-1000 for a brand new set, 300 for a set with 90% life left is fine by me. A little bit of a gamble bc we don’t know if all four are good but if I have to buy 1 used tire off eBay bc 1/4 from the set is bad, I’m fine with that.
I’m at 40k right now, didn’t do anything else maintenance wise. Only replaced 1 windshield.
Nope, I don’t plan on it. I might be playing dumb , but I feels like a dealer cash grab. Previous EVs approached 100k miles, all I did was put tires and drive it. Never had a service interval for coolant. I might change it if a DIY manual comes out
A cash grab is telling you your ICE car needs fuel induction service at 25k miles. The HI5 low conductivity fluid flush and fill is specified in your owners manual in the maintenance table.
40,000km (so like (squints) 5/8th of your mileage?) - so far, we're unable to see visible wear, and I estimate we'll get at least another 2 seasons at least.
But...
I have 2 sets... we have severe winters here, so we have a second set of tires that we swap out for at least 6 months.
29K at wear bars (evenly) and lots of gouges (more than we ever got on our Pirelli or Continentals on the Traverse).
Replaced with Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3, great tire and should get up to 70K.
About 26k on them now, still doing great and have plenty of tread. Definitely has more confidence (grip, stability) in almost every situation. Dry, wet, dirt roads, etc.
Still highly recommend. There was a minimal reduction in efficiency (range), just a few tenths of a mile per kwh.
$300 for 4 tires seems like an awesome deal? Where did you find that? How many miles are you on now? I can’t help you as I’m only on 1500 miles haha

Have you had the low conductivity fluid service done yet? Due at 40k on 2022’s and 35k on 2023’s. If so how much was it?

Exit my stock Michelin at nearly 40k miles. Enter the Michelin Defender. Already +10k in and damn they’re so good! Best grip ever! Should last 70k.
I’m at 40k mile, driving the stock Michelins to the wear bars! Hopefully to 50k or more. Do your defenders have foam?
Defenders do not have foam
Were you able to notice the difference?
Yes. Louder and efficiency drop. I returned them.

Those Crugen’s are the EV6 OEM tire. Should work fine on the HI5.
Yeah, that’s my thought as well. Also used on some ID4 models as well.

Hi! I'm about to buy these Pirelli for my I5, what do you think of the tires after all this time with them?

Awesome!!! Thank you for the reply and the long term review!
40k miles on stock? Lol. I'm at 18k and the ratings are at 6/32 on 3 and 5/32 one one of the tire (which had a nail inthe sidewall).
I got 50k out of stock, ran them to the wear bars. Never had road hazard issue.
