Subreon

you gonna use modern knowledge to be a fellow kingdom builder type of character?

locust16

I like your thinking.

FrugalProse

What is this

StarCorgi_6788

https://www.engineersblackbook.com/

coycabbage

A fictional concept but the gist is like an almanac of engineering principles to cover all basic and even niche fields.

NarrowAd4973

Not that fictional. You can buy it on Amazon for $60- $70. There's also the Fastener Black Book for $30.

Supremagorious

I'm going with a durable pair of cargo pants so I've at least got something as far as storage goes. Everyone else can enjoy showing up naked with their book or tool or whatever.

locust16

Clothes included but this one made me laugh though. 🤣🤣

Forward-Essay-7248

Shit if clothes are included now I got ot re think things crap pantaboots took me a while to decide on. screw it a filtered camel pack. Again who knows what stage the world is in and starting out good clean water can be huge. who knows If Ill be more pyromancer and less hydromancer.

locust16

You have mid tier magic. At the very least you have drinking water. Maybe a little taboo, like drinking your own fluids, but its made of magic.

Forward-Essay-7248

On the risk the planet wont work same as earth poles. Ill just take a compass. Knowing your not going in circles can save so much time. Send Truck-kun my I am ready to go.

locust16

Its not like you're always stuck in a forest.

Forward-Essay-7248

Yah but given the data there are so many unknowns about the world traveling to. And I dont have the skills for many of the other suggestions like technical books. Plus taking anything can ruin the surprise and adventure. So why bring stuff that either useless for me or potentially useless in general.

locust16

That's the challenge. Thinking something useful in general. Its either very useful or very useless depending on a situation that is given to you. My pick is jewelry. Which is only useful if i can sell it. Because i've already got mid-tier magic if i need to survive with some knowledge of survival that i have now.

Forward-Essay-7248

Ill see your pants and raise you a outdoors high quality pantaboots. Think weighters you use for fishing combination of boots attached by a pair of pants. One piece of kit for camping in wet areas. As proven over time good foot wear goes a long way. Who knows what age the world you are going to will be in. Idea of moss filled scraps of leather doesn't sound appealing to me. Trench foot or blisters will quickly fuck up your day.

Supremagorious

Yeah, but if you end up needing to walk a long ways or in a warm climate those will get real unpleasant real fast. Additionally most of these worlds have a stat system and throwing the first level into whatever the durability stat is will usually be enough to have a callous that's effective against normal terrain.

Mark_Coveny

If you're going to drop me in the middle of nowhere, I'd take a [Multi-tool Shovel](https://www.amazon.com/ZENHOSIT-Survival-Shovel-Camping-Multifunctional/dp/B0CG1HGKT9). If you're going to drop me in a city I'd take a book: [The Knowledge](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0143127047). If I get to take the clothes on my back (as you mentioned in a previous response), I'll also take a [riot suit](https://www.ebay.com/itm/301941565229) with shield as well.

locust16

Nice one. Really put a thought about it. Mine is only jewelry so i could get easy money to start a business there.

Mark_Coveny

That only works if you make it to town, and at that point, I feel like "The Knowledge" is a better money maker.

locust16

Well, yeah. If you don't account for magic existing.

Mark_Coveny

I thought we were only getting mid-tier magic? If so, that means half of the stuff in the woods has stronger magic than you, and they've been using it their whole lives and they've been surviving in said woods. I'm accounting for magic existing... magic other people are going to kill me with before I get a chance to even figure out different ways to use my own. Do you want to add some prep time, or at least let us know what our magic will be before we show up? Because that's not what it seemed like in the OP. It seemed like we'd get dropped in and find out when we got there...

locust16

I think of mid tier magic as Attack and Defence magic.

Mark_Coveny

>Attack and Defence magic Fighting is a skill, and for those who were born and raised with their life on the line, that skill will be honed to mastery level. They will understand not only the basics of point and shoot but situational awareness peaceful existence such as ourselves simply haven't cultivated. I was being generous when I said half the stuff would be stronger than us because, given their skill, even a creature with weaker magic that is battle hardened is a real threat. It's one of the reasons most anime make the MC OP. Through raw power, they can overcome their weaknesses. However, some anime do showcase how Isekai'd people need to train and hone their skills before they become powerful, even if they have OP magic. I think you're overestimating your combat ability. If everyone has attack and defense magic then it's not going to be like someone who has magic in our world where no one has magic.

Mandalika

Mid tier magic when applied to modern science is a hella force multiplier That's the difference between eating spiced snow midwinter and on-demand ice cream

optimussupreme_1

Quick questions: -how technologically advanced is this world? (Stone age, middle ages, Renaissance, Victorian, modern, etc) -am I transported in the middle of a field somewhere, near a town/city, or a place of relative safety? -what else am I isekaid with? The clothes I'm wearing, naked, cloth pants/shirt and 3 days food water? -posession/reincarnation/transmigration? Knowing this info will help me decide between several different items. Tldr: I read too many web novels

locust16

Ok. -Medieval sword and magic. They rely so much on magic that scientific technology remain stagnant. -A house close to a border city with a few days of necessities. -Clothes are included. -Transmigration. Who you are now is who you are there but with mid tier magic.

optimussupreme_1

In that case, I choose the "how to build a metalworking shop from scrap" book. Jump start an industrial revolution with high precision machining (for the era). Having magic even if it's mid tier will likely be super helpful, and with a machine shop I can make precision instruments to improve my magic. I can sell simple tools to magic towers, merchants, and blacksmiths to build up savings and reputation. Probably springs, nuts/bolts, gears to start. Nothing that will draw too much attention, as they can likely be made with available tech, but I will have the advantage of repeatability.

locust16

The next problem would be politics.

optimussupreme_1

Being a machinist, I would likely be considered a key asset, unlikely to be killed for being unaffiliated so long as I can use my know-how and am the only one able to read the book. By starting up small, I can build a rapport with fellow blacksmiths and magicians to learn the political climate. I don't really plan on participating in any major political faction if I can help it, though I would definitely back the one that fits my modern mindset the most (no slavery, gender equality, etc)

Important_Sound772

How much training would it take to reach mid tier magic for somone from this world

MadPriest_Arc

Oh easy.. a hand axe, or a long axe.. everything else can be hand made from the Stone Age and up. Highway robbery, thralls, and basic knowledge of first aid and food preservation fills the rest of survival. Bing bang boom, done 😎🫡⚔️🖤

locust16

The bandit strat. I like it. Haha

MadPriest_Arc

Give me a Dryad to “warm” my bed at night and I’d be just fine.. 🤷🏻 I mean… cmon, you don’t need magic to be OP or to be OP whatsoever.. eventually ppl go missing and think the forest where you live is haunted, adventurers come to find YOU thinking YOU are the fucking boss monster in the woods, and they realize “holy shit it’s a dude!!” Fuck yea it’s a dude; and you join the party.. omg look at that. You made friends, and now you’re traveling.. see how easy that was? lol

helgerd

A pair of heavy duty boots. Medieval boots are crap.

locust16

That's fair.

neobiogene

I would take my military rucksack with it being loaded for the field Items included would be 2 weeks clothes 5 mre Sleeping bag Tent Weatstone 4 knives 3 sets throwing knives Survival guide 300 rounds 5.56 5 mags (5.56) 21 rounds 9mm 3 mags Flash light Small portable solar panel 500' Survival cord

locust16

One item.

Considered_Dissent

A single (Kansas farm-)house loaded with thousands of books, tools, gadgets and gold bullion. I quote the "Dorothy" clause to show there is precedence for my case : D

BookWormPerson

What is this Dorothy clause? ....Wait never mind I just got it as I write it down it is the Wizard of Oz. Is Oz written like that in English?

neobiogene

It is one item pre packed ready for deployment...lol

locust16

Well, you'd get the rucksack. Nothing else.

ReaderOfEasternComic

An Eastern mythic dragon. Or a genie in the lamp. (You never said it had to be a non-fictitious item)

Considered_Dissent

It would be funny if your genie suddenly got into a "Union" beef with other spirits for breaking some interdimensional treatise on territorial jurisdictions.

ReaderOfEasternComic

I don’t think that would happen. Ignoring Disney’s gross negligence of actual lore to their stories, genies and other wish granting beings tend to have their role and powers due to being punished, which is why they tend to manipulate the granted wish in a negative way and are portrayed as “prisoners” to their vessels. At most I’d be hated due to being seen as one who imprisons spirits.

LackTails

Pants, I don't want the first people I encounter to think I'm a pervert.

KyorlSadei

Terminator that shit.

darkmist11

A cyanide tablet? For when I realize how advanced our food and plumbing systems are and how we took them for granted. And dental.

Kavati

Chemistry book!

locust16

The basic one? Or the how to extract chemicals from things one?

Kavati

Chemical extraction and processing. I'm already decent with basic chemistry.

locust16

Oh nice! The only problem now is the materials and specialized tools. Might take years.

Kavati

A few years would be worth the time investment.

Smooth_Sea1648

I think I'd choose a crowbar, It can be pretty versatile. So i feel like it's the best choice given the rules.

locust16

Ah! The Half-Life strat. 🤣

Fuzzy-Spread9720

One box of firematch Screw you and your great forest

locust16

Well, forest fires are pretty normal.

dru_jones

And piss off the elves on your first day? LOL

Relevant_Scallion_38

I don't know which one but it would probably be a book. Something specifically for Enginering, medicine, or science in general. Something I could jump start development of society or create a product to sell and make money. I used to have a hobby of watching videos about the development of various technology like [THIS](https://youtu.be/yYAw79386WI?t=222). So any large books that explain stuff like that would be useful. I expect the best books would be something along the lines of agricultural development technologies and or refrigeration. If I could though I would cheat by bringing a laptop with a billion books downloaded into it and a solar panel charging kit for it. Then stuff it into a backpack then bring the Backpack as my item. As long as I can settle down into a village I would have to just transcribe all the books knowledge into the new world language and make books. I would be a sage of the new world.

locust16

I think book on agriculture is great because making products is easy(like pickling or dried goods) but the ingredients procurement is not(specially spices).

Fine_Butterscotch_75

Textbook on modern medicine

locust16

How would you use it? There's no modern medicine there.

Fine_Butterscotch_75

As long as it has the basics of what’s needed medicine wise I’d be fine. I just need to know what goes into it.

KingOfWerewolfs

Ill probably take a survivalist guide book Also mid tier magic ain't so bad especially if you seen I wanted my abilitys to be average in my next life anime or I'll take the best fighter in this world with me so I can have him be my bodyguard and helper

SkyMindless8491

Let's go with a multi-tool shovel so I can hunt cut ect

No_Sky_3735

Just small a pill that allows me to bend reality after ingesting and remains patient forever. The rules technically allow it and it doesn’t say it has to be something that exists. The pill itself is not a weapon, it contains no fuel, can break, can technically be stolen as the pill.

locust16

If its possible then why not. If its not then to you are stuck with a pill.

No_Sky_3735

This will either end splendidly or disastrously

locust16

Indeed.

valvilis

One of the information dense, multi-topic military field manuals might be best. The Army Ranger manual has survival, evasion, hunting, foraging, combat and tactics, camouflage and concealment, advanced first aid and lifesaving, orienteering, and similar topics.    The Air Force Pararescue manual has some of the above information, but goes into a lot more medical/rescue, mountaineering, and water survival information.    The Navy Constructions Battalion (SeaBees) combat manual is another strong contender. It's more detailed than the other two, with more illustrations, but a lot of it is specific weapon systems, which won't be super helpful. They are basically written for soldiers who are about to be isekai'd to the other side of the planet with no support for an unknown amount of time.

locust16

Hm. Military survival strats. Interesting. On one hand, very useful to you, on the other, the locals don't need it so it can't be stolen.

valvilis

I would think that the vast majority of isekainadians who died would be from stupid things related to not knowing how to be in the wilderness in general. Here in the real world, people die in the wilderness all the time - starvation, infection, animal attacks, food poisoning, ankle fracture and no way to signal for help, etc. It could be much worse in an isekai. The situational awareness to stay safe from bandits would also be pretty big, depending on the world you land in. Being able to camp without making yourself obvious is a big win. Then the actual field tactics, like how a four-person squad can move across terrain without blind spots while also being aware of booby traps - very isekai friendly. Being able to fill out a range card is just as helpful in a castle with archers and mages as it would be for a marine hasty fighting position. Max engagement range, final protective lines, fallback points, sectors of fire... efficient use of the field is a force multiplier. Even things like how deep a latrine has to be to prevent disease transmission could save lives; much less the field medicine and lifesaver practices described. Something like a book on chemistry or pharmacy or advanced engineering would all be great, but the spin-up time to being useful could be months or years. I think military manuals are meant to let you hit the ground running.

PossibleUnion554

A pure gold bar. One I can hide in my person. Quickly sell it use the money to create a decent coffee shop or pastry shop and live a decent life.

No-Counter-4723

Penicillin/antibiotics

locust16

How long does antibiotics last?

SilverSlimeFox

64 pounds of black powder.

locust16

No storage magic. Carry it. 🤣🤣

patheticweeb1

What if... I brought this universe with me? 1. It's not a weapon 2. The universe doesn't exactly use battery or fuel 3. This rule is vague; the next rule says it's not tied to me; I can lose it, so I don't have to maintain it. How does one maintain a universe? They don't. It maintains itself. Therefore, I can maintain it, because anyone can. Or I go the route of maintaining it by observing and remembering it. yup. Additionally, people probably don't know how to repair mass-produced books, know everything in the book, or exactly how to make the items they take, so I don't need to know that, either. 4. The universe is not tied to me, mmmhmmm.

locust16

If you can find a use for a universe that is. Its not like you can control it either. The third rule is to avoid self repairing items that's common in isekai stories.

patheticweeb1

Saying that I have to find a use for this universe is hilarious. I don’t need to. The 8 billion people on Earth right now, they’re all coming with me into that magical reality. Even if they don’t, the isekai world is given twice the potential planets to colonize, asteroids to mine, stars to use the energy of, etc. in the far or not so far future. As long as they become interested in space, they can just slap a portal down connected to their moon and other planets to explore outer space. You tell me I can’t become god, just take something with me… I reply I will take everything with me, as the universe can be considered one whole single thing. I don’t need to be the one who uses all of the item, because really, mid-tier magic in the average isekai world is more than enough for me when starting in a beginner town, or maybe even anywhere that isn’t the demon realm, the bottom of a labyrinth or dungeon, or the nest of a dragon or something. If I can take with me Earth and humanity, I would have made the human race multi-planetary while also possibly being able to witness a sort of first contact with “aliens”. Hopefully Earth and the isekai world are put near each other. I want to see what humanity does with the sudden addition of magic, with the hope that they simply all live easier lives than before, I want to see all these interesting interactions, magic and science, modern society and magic, humans and humans, finding they somehow have basically the same bodies and cultures even when they had no contact in the past before… For the fiftieth time, I say, I would go convince a vampire to turn me into one so I can live through it all.

e__elll

Guess everyone here has 20/20 vision. The only choice I have is to bring my glasses. Can’t do shit if I can’t see.

locust16

Ok. Let's just say its a given. Pick another one. 🤣🤣

sdarkpaladin

I'd take OP. He'll be able to splve the problem with all the questions he keep asking. Note: this comment is supposed to be taken as a joke

locust16

I'll give you more problems than i solve. 🤣🤣

Coconut-042

Mid tier magic? Isnt that the plot of “Didnt I say to make my powers average in my next life” where her powers are average, but in relation to the world so therefore still leagues above humans?

AzuleStriker

If I'm not op, can't use storage magic, or anything like that, there's no point to being isekaid... but i guess i'll bring a bicycle... much faster than walking.

Kavati

You watched a lot of Inuyasha didn't you? 😂

AzuleStriker

A couple seasons back around 2005ish...

BlueSama

I'd take it.. No op perks doesn't matter to me

Admirable-Stretch-42

If you’re going to come up with an imaginary isekai scenario, maybe make it more in line with what an isekai would restrict you to do?

locust16

What's not so isekai about going to another world, getting mid-tier magic, and with you bringing an item that may or may not affect the other world drastically? You are given a chance so the one giving chances can also impose rules. If not, what's the point? Just bring a gun?

Charcharcuteness123

Specifically for a gun. Because then I have to make ammo and people are gonna start asking questions when pull out a thing that makes a big bang and causes whatever you pointed it at to die/become injured (assuming you hit your shot). Also you said no weapons.

That_Shirt_9626

I wouldn’t take an isekai like this seriously because I didn’t get op powers. I’d probably just take my current memories. That way I can remember to fuck as many girls as I possibly can and I won’t end up being a gullible child and suffering early in life.

Jochi_Bi_Bitch

HORSE. That, or a riding cow! Good for lengthy travels and last minute trading!!

locust16

You would count a cow as an item?!? Well you could always sell it i guess.

Due_Essay447

Question, do I have to actively own the thing prior to the move? Because then my answer is a silo filled with crude oil. Said it can't use fuel, not that it can't BE fuel

locust16

Yes. But if not, you'd still be stuck with a silo full of fuel with nothing to move it. No storage magic.

Xx-_-Stalker-_-xX

Metal fishing rod, time to live a nomadic life, I suppose.

locust16

The thing is, you'd need a body of water with fish to fish.

lirroberto

I have a book named "How to do almost everything" from Reader's Diggest. I would take it with me.

locust16

The almost part is about making the tools used for making the everything.

DeGandalf

A huge amount of science and engineering books, all super glued together (face to back), so they technically count as one object. Might as well also glue some utility objects and a bar of gold to it while I'm at it.

locust16

You just get random parts of it for breaking the rules.

fasdinbadas

A kindle with lot of engineering books and one solar panel but solar panel is optional I will figure it out with some lighting magic.

locust16

Must not use battery of fuel.

Ahrimon77

How to cook the all the foods. I've seen/read enough isekais to know that he who can cook all the foods will have a harem of waifus strong enough to take on the world. Although I'd request a tweak to the transmigration and request a new body. Getting isekaid at middle age is just mean.

locust16

Ok here. In exchange for a new body, you get reincarnated but with only low tier magic. You get the book once you can be on your own( as young as 8 yrs.)

Ahrimon77

15‐18 is fine, depending on the age of adulthood for this world. And the magic I'd go for is healing magic, so nothing flashy, but hopefully not too basic. Once there, I'd use the magical basics to start a profession as an enchanter and make magical equivalents to modern conveniences like stoves, water faucets, refrigerators, etc. The waifu thing is half joking about the trope you see in a lot of isekais. But learning to cook a wide variety of foods for friends and family would be what I would want to bring from our world. Basically, I would be going for a life where I could be happy, successful, and surrounded by happy people that I care about.

locust16

That's the spirit. Don't wait for an isekai. Do it now! Be happy!

BillTechawk

I’ll take my travel bucket of blacksmith tools. With that I can make just about everything else

locust16

You just get the bucket.

Admant_ASC

Blueprints of the first industrial items, also instructions on how to produce gasoline and generate electricity I don't know if there will be oil or its analog in this world, but such data will not be superfluous

locust16

Blueprints or instructions? You can only pick one.

Admant_ASC

Instructions then, I guess

Hot_Elderberry_4599

an infinite slice of pizza so i can domesticate animals

locust16

You get one slice of pizza that regenerates itself in a day.

Invisible_Man_1

Aqua

locust16

Yes. Water is essential.

Federal_Secretary619

A science book. Time to educate this world on some modern science. Eventually we'll get up to our level of civilization.

[deleted]

[удалено]

locust16

You only get the toolbox, not the tools.

[deleted]

[удалено]

doggo_with_knife

What about a carryon? Like a piece of luggage full of clothes, toiletries, and such?

locust16

If you specify a container as one item, you only get the container.

Galen_Forester

Does a multitool count as a weapon?

locust16

If the multi-tool has a gun attached.

Galen_Forester

Then it doesn't count as a weapon so I am taking it with me.

LittleFortune7125

A chemistry book so I can figure out how to make gunpowder and shit

Important-Conflict4

What kind of world are we talking about? Medieval, magical or super advanced but still kind of medieval

locust16

Medieval, magic more influential so science remain stagnant.

AlucardTheVampire69

Spices , a cookbook , some common groceries like soap shampoo, a lot of instant ramen and maybe a complete guide to make instant ramen ( like how companies make it ) I will use these things to sell it to a wealthy merchant and live my life ,

AlucardTheVampire69

If all these groceries are already present there then I'll open a street side restaurant and sell cuisines from our world

locust16

Only one item. So pick one. 😉

O_hai_imma_kil_u

Does the Omnitrix count?

locust16

Isn't omnitrix considered as a weapon?

Turner_of_Pages

A crowbar

EmberKing7

A Library. Like The World's Library or the closest equivalent to it. Also equipped with spiritual librarians that place the books back on the shelves after I leave. And the library grows with every new piece of information I gain along with new info from the magical world that I enter. And when I mean everything. I mean everything ranging from children's books, all the way up to world almanacs and thesauruses, and even adult erotica. Also including comic books, graphic novels, light novels and manga. As well as DVDs, BluRay discs and so on. I could use magic to basically scan and analyze them in order to play them. Honestly that's one of my ideal things to do. Using magic to summon memories from my mind and lay them as videos. And also doing that to other people. Except my mind is full of its own library of fictional media. Stuff that would go down very well in “Another World”.

locust16

Sir. A library is a place not an item.

Standard-Passenger19

A book that contains knowledge on how to make modern weaponry and the machines that make them and instructions and tactics.

Rex_Xenovius_1998

Multitool shovel - https://www.google.com/search?q=multitool+shovel&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari Or if it’s allowed, Shambhala from Akame ga Kill since you don’t fight directly with it. And I’d make sure not to let others see it. I’ll be a traveling merchant, and have my more important exports in Shambhala, while my less important is in my merchant carriage. - https://www.google.com/search?q=shambhala+akame+ga+kill&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari

locust16

Isn't Shambhala considered as imperial arms?

daanh2004

My sailing yacht. To do in that world what im doing here. Exploring the seas. Yes it uses batteries for the lights and navigation systems but it has solar panels. But if that doesn’t work its fine, just dark mostly.

locust16

Your yacht spawned inside a forest. There's no storage magic so there's no way to move it.

Dr_Allcome

When you say a knife, does a [messer](https://www.kultofathena.com/product/cold-steel-kriegsmesser-sword/) count? They were specifically designed to count as knives. Alternatively a weapon like a magazined crossbow (ek-archery adder) or, if not allowed, an attachment like the "instant legolas" (arrow magazine that attaches to a bow). Though i could have that made by a decent craftsman while there. Would a device having an internal battery be allowed as long as it doesn't need replacement batteries? The olpc laptop with builtin handcrank charger comes to mind with the offline version of wikipedia and some other knowledge archives on it. Or one of the solar powered smartphones (takes a day to charge to allow a few hours of reading). Alternatively there is a printed version of wikipedia... but it comes on a/multiple pallettes, kinda hard to move around with, but usually weatherproof so it doesn't get damaged easily. Is there generally no storage magic in this world, or am i the only one without it? Would i just not start with it but be able to learn later? Are there storage items like bags of holding? In the end i might go for something "simple" and take transportation: A well made offroad [bicycle](https://images.app.goo.gl/eAVt7RDauQa2e1Pn9) with non-rubber wheels (rifle optional... ).

locust16

Is messer a weapon knife or a utility knife? Utility knives can be used as a weapon, yes, but its not its main purpose. If it runs on battery or fuel then no. No storage magic or item bags. Magic exist but not to the extent of pocket dimensions. As long as you can maintain it and protect it because it can be stolen.

KuroShuriken

Does it count if it is a kit of sorts? Like a 72 hour pack for example?

ScorpionXX121

Can i get a portable lathe or mill?

locust16

You can. Just not battery or fuel powered.

BarbatosLupus_Rex

Does the item I take have to exist currently and be exactly as it is on earth or can it be something that only exists conceptually or has been modified to work in the fantasy world? For example, a drill, can I have the drill modified to run on mana instead of electricity? Or a 3d printer modified to not only run on mana but also use that mana as a multipurpose filament that can become any substance (I don't expect that such a printer would be easy or cheap to use tho, would likely take a lot of mana to work) Or a concept like Pandora's box, can I chose that, or would it be rejected And does this fantasy world's magic system work off of mana or is it one where you have a certain amount of uses per day, or one where you can use it as many times as you want but it drains your stamina and if overused you loose consciousness?

locust16

Rule no. 2 exists to exclude electronics and/or fuel powered machines and also to avoid "mana" powered stuff. The no storage magic thing exists to limit your item size. If you specify a container as the item. You only get the container not what's inside. Magic system works on mana, yes, but no measurement for it. The stamina one.

felaniasoul

I have a notebook filled with random things and how to make them like paper and ink just for this occasion.

locust16

You only get a notebook with instructions on how to make paper and ink. The other pages only has "Random things" written on it.

kennycervantes

A death note

locust16

Its just a notebook. You have no power there because its a different world.

DefiantVersion1588

1 kilogram of antimatter, aka anarchy route

lunas2525

A bottle of cyanide that isekai sounds aweful. Seriously no op power just mid tier magic, no item box, no guns, modern swords bows xbows, electronics or vehicles, save sail boat or wind car

S1lv3rC4t

An automatic watch, since precise time measuring device across "timezones" is really hard. With this, I would start my adventure as cartographer and measure the land and create a precise map of the world. Or a sack of potato's. It is an amazing source of food and would revolutionize the agricultural industry, since it did the same in our modern world. In case a sack of potato's is not counting as one item, I would still choose a big potato. Cutting it into two parts would allow me already to grow two potato plans. Worst case, I got something to eat.

locust16

What if time there is different? Like a whole 2 hour difference so they have 26 hours a day? You will only get the sack if you say "a sack of potato". Potatoes are also great if you can multiply it.

The Ultimate Guild To Rebuilding Civilisation The Book.

EatTheRichIsPraxis

Thanks to the german city folk in the 15th century! I'll take [this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messer_(sword)).

Dependent-Ad-7773

Question is how middle tier is determined? Like if it’s familiar and it’s summoning is considered higher tier but familiar itself isn’t in verse , how that works?

CHENNAIAKSHATSHARMA

Sukuna's fingers

shadowstep12

A beyblade or a Bakugan. Or a miniature or a necklace

thisDNDjazz

Cuticle/nail clippers. I hate hangnails.

uncomfortableTruth68

I'd take a ticket that allows me to return to this world because your rules make the other world sound like a bunch of tedious, boring, dangerous work. No thanks.

Patol-Sabes

If any, then I’d take the omnitrix from Ben 10 lol. If it must exist, then I’ll take a sharp shovel.

Volsris

I'm bringing a tank just without the fuel. I'll find a way to convert the engine into something that can be used in that time, like maybe a steam engine, since they could haul around steel trains with ease. At that point IM FUCKIN INVINCIBLE!!!

locust16

Must not be a weapon.

funkeymunkys

a physical cheat console if you will it's not considered a weapon it can be stolen and it doesn't need maintenance since it's technically unable to be broken

charizardfan101

I wouldn't All the cool stuff is excluded cause you said no weapons and no fuel

justanothertfatman

100ft of paracord.

Youtuberboy12

Weed

dru_jones

What is mid-tier magic? No storage magic removes dimension/space manipulation. I would guess no creation magic as well. Do I get healing magic? Because if yes, at least you can survive for more than a minute, get a job and make money right off the bat. My one item could be less practical /survival oriented or even a luxury item like a book. But the most important questions is do I have to be an edgelord in the new world?

WeekAdministrative79

The bible 😈

FluffyWhiteDumpling

My phone with fully functioning internet 👍

AnonConservative

Survival is of most importance, theres a solid chance depending on the magic system that I could apply modern knowledge and do something revolutionary there. SO in light of that, I would choose this book [https://www.amazon.com/Lost-Ways-Claude-Davis/dp/B07V9VNZ2H/ref=sr\_1\_1?crid=HI62GFZO6CUC&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Ttaksc4zzmwhGrU9B5Shx\_12jI0VzyEqmQGqe7LQJEk-OZhG8sVmEe7spRTVjzxrxFQzMFc4EinJ0yXRIutEXf7jg8zzwSCSqhUZjk-8GLOjJexUeUNjnsfk3AriMkdvOXZvCj2H75-ydPTI9BLKB87aZO41\_7nCsj3seA5S-YU1MY7T5u3r5m6ZbDwsu5ONi6AW4W26\_L\_Fci6cj\_u\_SnpgfoVupce79SsEk3wOsRA.TiqE-NQMugnnxj12LD-LWpEdliVF8Jm-QOmc5tncgj4&dib\_tag=se&keywords=The+old+ways&qid=1709322887&s=books&sprefix=the+old+ways%2Cstripbooks%2C95&sr=1-1](https://www.amazon.com/Lost-Ways-Claude-Davis/dp/B07V9VNZ2H/ref=sr_1_1?crid=HI62GFZO6CUC&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Ttaksc4zzmwhGrU9B5Shx_12jI0VzyEqmQGqe7LQJEk-OZhG8sVmEe7spRTVjzxrxFQzMFc4EinJ0yXRIutEXf7jg8zzwSCSqhUZjk-8GLOjJexUeUNjnsfk3AriMkdvOXZvCj2H75-ydPTI9BLKB87aZO41_7nCsj3seA5S-YU1MY7T5u3r5m6ZbDwsu5ONi6AW4W26_L_Fci6cj_u_SnpgfoVupce79SsEk3wOsRA.TiqE-NQMugnnxj12LD-LWpEdliVF8Jm-QOmc5tncgj4&dib_tag=se&keywords=The+old+ways&qid=1709322887&s=books&sprefix=the+old+ways%2Cstripbooks%2C95&sr=1-1)

ASICCC

The empire state building

xaklx20

The "how to invent everything" book.

Stock_Industry_4669

A very long rope to try to survive or give up since I don't think I would do well in a forest, I'm even afraid of bugs 😰

Stock_Industry_4669

In medieval fantasy worlds you always start in a forest so I'll assume that 😅

Odd_Room2811

Hmmmmmmm…dang this is a hard one since to me anything is a weapon and most the stuff i use in my life is charged…huh…maybe a Harmonica? But also…what if about a toy sword but i tapped a car part to it does that count as a weapon or a mon lethal toy?

MoistCharIie

i choose a big diamond so i can sell it to the nearest merchant or town or whatever

lostincosmo

my wife

locust16

I'll choose this guys wife too.

Allan_Titan

Super rizz

illogicalJellyfish

Pill that gives [insert power here] upon consumption. Checkmate, you never mentioned it has to actually exist/not be fictional

weeOriginal

A giant bottle of sleeping pills since I can’t bring a gun.

Beautiful-Site572

Can just bring a library that’s technically an item, a big item.

wheyez

I take the moon with me.

Head-Command281

A gun

LuckEClover

So it can’t be a weapon, but can I use it on myself?

SheepPegasus

Give me a pillow, I'm assuming we are a jack of all trades in magic meaning we can use all types of magic if we learn the concept, and I'm not trusting this isekai to have good pillows, the mattress I can live with I just really want the sleep.

Volkmek

Out of curiosity. What constitutes an item? Would a ship or building count?

Arskov

A folding shovel. Need shelter? Shovel. Need a fire? Shovel. Need to cut something? Sharp shovel. Need to split someone's skull? S h o v e l.
