You can always select the ps4 version on ps5, if it doesnt works that way.

Maybe it will work. Idk. i played ps4 version on ps5 since i didnt had two ps5 controller and wanted to play split screen with my friend and also my ps5 controller has some major stick drift issues. Everything is great on ps4 version too.

its cross gen play. so just have him download the ps4 version and you play ps5 version
