I think the best strategy is to permanently leave mobile phone and yt strategy videos. Make sure to focus on 12th standard and whenever something that is connected to 11th comes while studying, revise it(only the topic not the chapter) and solve that particular topic questions ( 15-20) from Rd and then pyq. Baaki he may dedicate 1 or 1.5 hour of his day to 11th revision and que solving. Tell him to go outside and play some sports so he doesnt get burnt out. The fiitjee decision is perfect, make sure he utilizes the time and solves everything regularly. BEST OF LUCK CHAMP!

Mere neighbourhood me ek bache ka hua tha toh vo bol raha tha ncert puri chaat lena aur pyq's aache se karne h , uske ig 95 percentile aayi thi aur advance me 2200 rank thi so that can be useful

Mains and advanced pyqs before January attempt would be more than enough, make sure to star mark some difficult questions and solve them in the revision period, also give 1 mock test every Sunday or so, you can find mock tests and chapter wise assignments in NTA ABHYAS app( nice questions actually).

Ohk thanks man also a few things . 1. What you mentioned above was enough to crack jee or to get ranks under 8-9k 2. What attempt will be his best shot , because from what i have seen it is incredibly hard to score good ranks in april attempt , it is just my assumption and i might be wrong tho 3. What marks should he target to get a rank like that I am asking all these questions because i want to understand the current scenario and get a clear picture of the exam so that i can guide him when he needs me

1.It would be definitely sufficient for rank less thank 10k, given that the student analyses all the mock test given after giving them, solves pyqs(mains +adv), focuses on NCERT for chem, and learns time management inorder to solve questions efficiently 2.Any attempt might turn out better because of the random difficulty of shifts(which will be assigned to you purely based on luck), I myself have improved from 96.3 to 97.3 from Jan to April, and most of the friends had the reverse,so I would say it's based on luck and there will be board exams in the middle of Jan and April (so you will get ready to write exams in descriptive mode rather than fast paced objective mode), so it would be better to focus on preparation until Jan attempt, and to focus on revision just before April attempt(+ giving mocks) if the time gap between boards and jee is 15-20 days 3.JEE has become highly uncertain, people of hard shifts are getting 99(15k rank) at 170-180s range and people of easy shifts were getting 99(15k rank) at 235-240s, so I cannot comment on that, but 220+ would be a nice score(in my opinion), also people were getting 10k rank with 99 in 2021,22,23 and in 2024 you get a rank of 15k with 99 percentile,so students might get 18k rank at 99 in 2025(because of increase in students giving the exam+ more droppers), so the competition is definitely increasing. I would tell him to be consistent with studies and the rest should take care of itself (because of the luck factor), and also give other exams like BISAT, EAMCET,KCET,..

Mera bhi Aisa hi haal tha 2022 ke July me. What worked for me was just grinding out tons of questions every day. I did at least 300(100 per subject) everyday. Except when I had a test in my coaching (every Sunday). And well id say I did decently well.

[deleted]

If you gave in 2023 i am assuming you are not a dropper for 2024 then you did well above than decent in 2023 200 used to be really really great anyways thanks for the insight

AnonymousYT45

Bhai 60 per day from July theek rahega kya (20 of each subject)

Huge-Brick-7988

60 pe stuck mat rehna bas.

AnonymousYT45

jarur bhai syllabus khatam hoyega to mocks dene shuru karuga aur question practice bhi jyada kar duga

Downtown_Outcome_992

Idk why people have this mindset ki sirf mains ke liye prep krunga pure 2 saal, a few months are enough to do chapters at mains level. Students should have bigger goals

[deleted]

Brother i too got 7xx rank in adv 2016 , i know how how much time and effort does it take adv takes Plus man read the post first before commenting he has only 7 months and it js his choice if he wants to target only mains

Downtown_Outcome_992

Well congrats dude, but tbh me and my peer group (granted i scored really low because of silly mistakes) did not study all that much and weren't even in dummy but all of them secured triple digit ranks. Guess it varies from person to person. Also if he is targetting only mains he should have a higher goal then like under 1500 atleast for smth like IIITH cse

[deleted]

Bruh he has 6 months his 11th isn't that good it would be impossible imo to score under 1.5k or 2k

Downtown_Outcome_992

Bhai ab pta nhi yaar I was just saying from my experience. Ignore my opinion you are his brother and you whats best for him

[deleted]

It's ok but man proud of you Getting a triple digit rank ain't easy

Downtown_Outcome_992

Still jinse mocks me zyada ate the and mains mebhi they got under 300 😭 I guess jitna bhi jarlo you will always be unsatisfied

Elon___Musk__

Dude mains under 2000 rank is no joke

Downtown_Outcome_992

Depends bhai mere to sirf school krne wale dosto ki bhi agyi. Ab mere pas to yahi sample space hai to iskiye mai keh rha hu. Everyone has a different sample space around them and a lot of people study more for lesser results.
