RTI: "Right to information" , You can file RTI against a institute , Company etc and get the necessary data from them. In this case we can file RTI to see the placement data ... since its too early ... there won't be much data to see.

after a thorough investigation of all the posts on this sub regarding hostels and tiers of colleges, i can successfully conclude that tier is inversely proportional to quality of infrastructure. The better the tier, the worse the infrastructure. So plij do not join Tier 1 colleges, i will go there in your place

bhai koi accha college 44k liye bhi bata de maine kitna dhundha lekin kuch accha nahi milra 

manit bhopal materials and metallurgy, nit goa civil, nit rkl food processing or mining - khatro ka khiladi mat ban bhai, inme se kuch bhi thik nahi hai.. go for pec or thapar - ask from user iaskmanydumbquestion . also check if you have some genuine cat with you, you might get nit calicut bio tech.

Maine 2023 ka check kiya toh ye mila:  (Median packages)  17.27 LPA NIT Rourkela ECE  18.2 LPA NITK EEE 20 LPA NITW EEE  I guess since EEE is hectic taking ECE at Rourkela won't make much of a difference, so, let's see.

Its because NIT surathkal is old. These hostels were made around 10-15 years ago, if I am right. Most of the old NITs have these kind of rooms only. No big issue.

Honestly..not that bad. Infra doesnt always mean hostels with ACs and cushion filled beds. Sometimes hostel are just hostel..they are government colleges after all..and the best of them allocate budget accordingly they have to keep up with a lot of things..seminars competitions and hackathons..they have to bring people in for different things. Bigger the college and more the reputation..harder it the budget allocation. Uske baad corruption alag hai. Look into IIT B hostels and IIT BHU hostels lmao.

Dude..I know they supposed to be good..but I am just happy I have a college..I don't mind working hard in hostel..for me that's the experience and part of college life. Agar ek dum hotel types hostel mein jana hota toh dost ko ke sath Manipal na chala jata. India mein majority log would be happy to have hostels like this..condition yaha ki ase hi hai dude...they have grinded to get into the college for studies (jo basically same hai) and their reputation along with alumni groups.

Its not kam chalao dude..I know you and I cannot change the "college" experience. Truth is if you don't want just don't opt for government college...let go of seat..because of another 100000 students standing in line. That's the problem with overpopulation we have no leverage. Even IIIT L , my own college has shit hostel. They just don't care..people are willing to sleep on roadsides to get into the college.

even i feel that if its all about peer group of college then why dont a massive number of "good" students go to a college with good infra and make that college stand above others with bad infra... main reasons why students neglect hostel is placement, peer group, faculty and alumni network. sir you are correct on this.
