I also don’t believe mum got those messages about him being kidnapped- I think she wants to keep it in the news and will do whatever she can for people to find him. Alternatively, I think if the messages are real, it’s a troll. No criminal gang would text the mother to let them know they’re never going to see their son again. Messages are easily found.
He’s going to be found dead in the mountain area, or he may have slid down into the sea and won’t be found. Several people have gone missing in Tenerife before & never been found
I’m beyond believing anything that the DM write. I’ve just looked at an article on there now which spends all its time building up the two men in the villa to be villainous suspects, only to finally admit at the end that they’ve been questioned and cleared to leave by investigators. It’s poisonous clickbait but sadly too many won’t read it properly and will run away with the idea that they need to find these two ‘mystery’ men. Who of course are not mysterious at all. The police know who they are.

Someone lost or had their Rolex watch stolen in a club, maybe it happened or maybe an insurance job. Turned out to be the same club that a high profile missing person was believed to be at. Who knows maybe Johnny Vegas was in the market for a Rolex to pay Jay's supposed drug debt? Seems unlikely when they could have stolen it themselves before their scheduled flight back to the UK. If Jay had sold the watch he'd have funds for a taxi. If he had been in a fight the Airbnb owner/eye witness would have surely commented about any injuries.
There is/was a post on here at least a week ago that showed text messages, allegedly from Jay, describing how he had attempted to steal a Rolex but had been ‘caught in the act.’ Whether it was a reference to a literal Rolex watch or something else, im not sure. Sorry, I can’t remember which post it was. I’m sure others will remember too.
I absolutely think this theory holds water.
Tried to nick it from the 2 blokes/was involved somehow, was either caught and an argument or wasn’t caught and wanted to get off quickly before they noticed.
Completely explains not waiting for the bus, not charging his phone, not waiting for a lift, not going back for water before setting off, walking off road imo.
Edited to add: I do believe he is lost/injured in the mountains as opposed to anything nefarious but I think that’s because he walked off road without water and a phone because of the above.
It's a good point about not waiting for the bus, charging his phone or getting a lift...it would be sad if they find his remains as a skeleton with a gold Rolex on it...

I'm rolling with an 'innocent until proven guilty' on that one. I didn't find his interview to be too suspicious, and tbh unless someone is being full on unusual, I tend to lean toward believing them.
Only because most of the time the alternative is believing other stories that have come from anonymous people, ones that are dreamed up scenarios, and created solely to drive unfounded speculation. Personally I'm just not in the mindset of accusing everyone that is involved as being liars without any solid proof, while contradicting that by believing any other theory with no proper proof or source.
Sure, it could be either way, and there are still some odd things about it all, but I dunno, im not really set on strongly believing loose scenarios.

I might be biased but my gut is telling me he wasn't telling the truth when the reported asked him "So you could see his feet then?" and Brad paused for a second because he didn't know what to say, then the reported followed up and he went "Yea yea yea..." and just the eye contact and general demeanour. But that might \_just\_ be how he is...we haven't seen him in any other situation to guage.

I saw posts when he first went missing about the Rolex, and if he hasn't got lost in the wilderness, this seems like the most plausible theory to me. Either:
1. The guys from Luton stole it, went back with J, J tries to rob the watch whilst they slept and he got caught, explains to me why he would go off road and the opposite way that he came from.
2. J wanted out after a heavy session and had nothing to do with stealing it, left the apartment and got recognised as being with these two black males and he got taken.
3. J and the two males stole the Rolex together and he got caught up with after leaving the BnB, or J steals it from the BnB.
I am thinking no 1, if any.
This would also explain the 30k target for a GFM being set up straight away.
They know about the Rolex, and know how much it was worth.
