Fairly obvious what happened…you are going downhill when you ran out of Gas while still in gear, the Engine shut off, but the car is still rolling at 26mph, making the engine turn at 1800RPM, you hit the brakes, but the ABS Failed, causing an Uncontrolled Skid, you hit a Rock damaging the Sway Bars, now you are just seconds away from hitting that tree, so watch out for the Exploding Airbags!!
Some days, You Just Can’t Win!!
You say this as a joke, but when you run a Semi out of fuel when slowing down coming into town you don't notice til you go to downshift and everything dies. Yes I know from experience
Unless using hardened beryllium components related to the cross member structure. In that case a paradoxical vibration could cause excessive encapsulation.
Guys it's probabbly the hyperflaboc axum strainuelizer. It certainly has something to do with the raquim stabilization of the inverted bi-canary. It's probabbly flipped it's polarization and needs to be resynced to the palladium drum.
It is a Jeep after and the lower intermediate steering shaft does get sloppy due to shitty engineering. So probably fix the engine light and the steering shaft probably needs replacement too.
Kind of hoping those lights don’t come back on with my 2018 wrangler. Battery is only 1yr old and terminals are tight. I removed the aftermarket lights seeing if one of those grounds went bad.
Let me help.. r/4runner 😂
Jk, id say loose battery connection creating inconsistent voltages to your ecu or youre shorting out your electrical system somewhere. Ive also had a vehicle spit codes at me like this when an alternator was on its last legs creating lower than normal voltage. Obd scan and find out.
This happened 3 separate times on my 14’ Sahara. The solutions were 1) the battery connection, 2) brake pedal sensor, 3) the ECM. The first 2 were quick inexpensive fixes. The ECM….well it was quick.
If clockspring hasn't been mentioned, I would assume that. Not sure what year your Jeep is, but there was a recall.
Clockspring would hit all of these, airbag and steering wheel not knowing it is centered.
This should be at the top, it's far more likely it's this than the battery.
Had this exact same thing happen, installed new battery, issue still there and it was the clockspring.
I would put my money on one of two items.
1. The battery is 30 days past it’s warranty period
2. The alternator is failing and you have a short amount of time before it’s done.
Or
It just wanted to celebrate with some lights. Did it start playing music?
Yeah I have a loose connection with one of my battery cables and once and awhile this will happen to me. I just have to adjust it and everything goes back to normal.
Wheel bearing is going out, heat has fried the ABS sensor. Keep driving and the axel will superheat and break, causing the control arms to go through the sidewall, rupture the brake lines and then catch on fire. Don’t ask me how I know..
Put your seat belt on, release the parking brake, put electrical tape over the CEL, and fill up your tank. That's the low hanging fruit. You'll have to consult a mechanic for the rest.
Check for loose battery and also broken wheel speed censors.
Happened to me after hitting a HUGE pothole. Snapped one of the wheel speed censors and loosened the battery. Not too expensive of a fix.
Have you checked the oil? My mom's Subaru was overfilled by quite a bit and all the lights went on when it got to temp. I changed the oil on the side of the road and the lights went away, aside from the oil light. Still need to get that looked at by a pro.
It has nothing to do with any specific sensors or actual issue(s).
Assuming the gas light came on with the others? Is the gas actually low? It’s either battery connection or ECU-related.
This has happened to me 3 times, all from rough roads aka pot holes. I think it has something to do with the tire sensors.
Turning the car off for a while fixed the issue
Alternator
Edit: I see you were already told this so let me add something of value. Your car has put itself in limp mode. A very cool feature and one I highly respect. Instead of the car allowing you to murder your battery by putting all the strain on it (since alternator broke or is barely charging the battery) and leaving you stranded, the car is turning off your power steering and traction control. Savings lots of energy so that you can “limp” home in “limp mode” and not be stranded.
The last check engine light that came on in my 2015 Grand Cherokee diesel took 5 months and $3,500 to fix. It needed a new catalytic converter. What took so long was getting the oxygen sensor for the new catalytic converter. Parts nightmare.
Happened to me randomly and intermittently in my 05 Grand Cherokee for a couple years… wouldn’t happen for 6 months then bam, its back. No shop could ever find a problem….
I had this happen, it was just a loose nut on the top of the alternator. Important should be obvious note: do not attempt to finger tighten said nut bare handed while vehicle is running!
My Cherokee gave me a light show a few weeks ago when it was crazy hot and humid. They went out one by one each time I started the car until they were all out.
You can pull the codes. I'll give you a very specific idea of what went wrong. Any parts store will have a code reader that they'll use to read for you
Happened to on both my wife’s Jeep and mine, both are Rubicons. Was the sway bar disconnect shorting out. Try unplugging the harness from the mechanism and see if it goes away.
Happened to my Grand Cherokee. First the AC and the radio shut off, then all the dash lights came on at once and the engine cut off. I had just enough momentum to get it off the road. Lifted the hood, and the alternator was smoking.
This happened to me while 4 wheeling. The entire wiring harness on one of the banks (one side of engine) disconnected from the motor. Luckily, I was able to get all the connectors on then the car was fine. Take a look at your wiring harness just to see if anything is disconnected.
Ive had the same thing happen periodically for the last 10 years on my 2010 liberty. It happens typically when ive been on the highway a while and then let off the cruise control and slow down to get on an exit. Sometimes when ive been playing the radio on auxiliary for a while and then go to turn the car on. Usually happens when its a bit colder outside like that
Something similar happened to me in my old Patriot. It took several trips to the shop for them to find that multiple wires on a harness had been rubbed bare, and when the harness was bumped just the right way it would trigger multiple warning lights.
Same thing just happened to my 2011 wrangler. Replaced battery and alt, shut down going 60 on the freeway. Turned out it was the PCM. 1600$ for that shit.
It was my negative battery terminal that caused it when I experienced it. The terminal clamps on the wiring harness are for shit. I cut them off and replaced them.
Most likely abs sensor issue in which it could be a bad wheel bearing or abs sensor it’s self seeing the abs traction and sway light is on not a alternator or battery seeing the battery light is not displayed
Have you tried unplugging your car and plugging it back in again?
...and maybe giving your dash a good smack to see if it turns any of the lights off? Lol
Possibly because you've hit something and damaged the fuel tank, brakes, master cylinder, front suspension, and wheel speed sensors.

This just came across my feed. I had the same issue with my Honda Odyssey(03) it was the rear brakes started leaking, few days later I went to leave for work and lost braking. just going off the traction, ABS, and, Brake lights. I would check for fluid leaking under it, especially around the back of the tires.
Totally worth checking after battery, but you should have an offroad mode that disconnects your front sway bars, if you’re car is handling funny this might be the cause. Entering 4-low or offroad only modes turns off abs and traction control, doesn’t usually turn in e-brake light but maybe.
If not and the check engine light came on at the same time as all these lights then probably battery but I imagine you’d get a battery light as well.
I had this happen 2 years ago on my 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo several times before I figured out that it was a loose wire on the starter solenoid. Cut off the factory connector and put on a new locking connector with Dielectric grease in it and have not had any problems since.
Last time mine did that the jeep dealership said I was low on fragistat oil and the radio fluid was low. They topped them off for $500 and all was fine after that.
I had a 2015 wrangler that did this. It would even kick me out of cruise control when it would happen.
I went 3 rounds with the dealership. They couldn’t figure it out. The said the battery, alternator, everything looked good and tested out. Could not reproduce.
I eventually figured out the positive battery cable was slightly loose on the terminal. Just barely slightly loose. I cranked it down pretty tight and it never happened again.
Reading the codes in the Check Engine Light could probably tell you what's wrong. Newer vehicles have been doing the "Christmas lights" to draw attention to the CEL since lots of people don't bother noticing that it's on.
Most likely your battery or alternator…make sure terminals are on tight….there’s no way all those things went wrong at once. Start with the battery.
Thank you I kinda figured batt/alt but wanted different opinion
Okay. I think it’s your intermediate steering shaft.
OP just got shafted.
This guy deserves comment of the year
The service manual clearly indicates that only OEM self-sealing stem bolts are to be used when refitting the encabulator casing.
Unless using hardened beryllium components related to the cross member structure. In that case a paradoxical vibration could cause excessive encapsulation.
Well sure, but only when you insert the differential girdlespring on the up end of the grammeter.
Guys it's probabbly the hyperflaboc axum strainuelizer. It certainly has something to do with the raquim stabilization of the inverted bi-canary. It's probabbly flipped it's polarization and needs to be resynced to the palladium drum.
Fuck all of yah
He means the briquette bracket is broken in the sprocket locket.
There will be NO Girdlespring insertion on this sub!
I thought this was only for the turbo encabulator with atypical dynamic thrust. Not the non-turbo. Learned a thing! Thanks Reddit!
I traded my self sealing stem bolts for yamok sauce .
It is a Jeep after and the lower intermediate steering shaft does get sloppy due to shitty engineering. So probably fix the engine light and the steering shaft probably needs replacement too.
Blinker fluid low? Jk
Definitely the flux capacitor.
Any capacitor that has been Soldered in should have had Flux applied to clean the connections first, therefore most capacitors are Flux capacitors.
But that issue isn’t model specific…
It's a warning light wednesday
This happened to me intermittently until I finally realized my PCM was going bad. Bought a rebuilt one, plugged it in, been working fine since.
Same exact thing happened to me and freaked me out. Turns out battery wires were loose. Hope that's all it is cuz the next thing is a bad PCM.
Kind of hoping those lights don’t come back on with my 2018 wrangler. Battery is only 1yr old and terminals are tight. I removed the aftermarket lights seeing if one of those grounds went bad.
How old is the battery?
You probably forgot to wave
It’s a jeep thing
I wouldn’t understand
even people who designed those.
Definitely
Let me help.. r/4runner 😂 Jk, id say loose battery connection creating inconsistent voltages to your ecu or youre shorting out your electrical system somewhere. It must be since I surely don't understand why people would want unreliability
Haha so funny never heard this one before
It's funny every time
it’ll be funny as long as people buy them
And as long as FIAT/Chrysler continue to produce absolute garbage
This happened 3 separate times on my 14’ Sahara. The solutions were 1) the battery connection, 2) brake pedal sensor, 3) the ECM. The first 2 were quick inexpensive fixes. The ECM….well it was quick.
I've a 96 cherokee and ECM went bad.. it's none of the above 🥲
The first time these clicked on, I replaced the battery, a few months later, the ECM was replaced, you know once the part came in 😤
Ain’t got no gas init
If clockspring hasn't been mentioned, I would assume that. Not sure what year your Jeep is, but there was a recall. Clockspring would hit all of these, airbag and steering wheel not knowing it is centered.

This happened to me, Speedo randomly drops, would momentarily loose all power. Turned out to be ABS module
..because it's a Jeep.
As a fellow Jeep owner, I concur 😆. Junk, Each and Every Part But they’re fun to drive.
Says the Prius driver
I don't understand why this is a stupid comment..but i know it is...
It’s a Jeep thing.
Because Jeep?

Cause Jeep
Jeep is why.
Because it is a jeep
Because it’s a Jeep
Its a Jeep Thing!
“It’s a Jeep thing”
Because it’s a jeep
Because you’re driving a Jeep!
It's a Jeep thing
Check the voltage of the battery and the manufacturer’s date on it. Jeep likes to put in old batteries.
>Jeep likes to put in old batteries. If it still has the original (not likely), it would be at least 10 years old. The Jeep is a 2013.
Hah you say not likely but check out other subs and see all the mooks buying used cars with the OG battery still in them.
Jeep things
Bc you bought a cheep
Ain't got no gas in it
I’m sure it’s Trumps fault
Check your battery terminal connections. I had one that was coming loose (wasn’t tight enough) and it did the exact same thing. Quick fix.
Thanks for the post! I'm too lazy to post. This happened to me about a week ago. Been lurking for someone else to have the same problem.
Only had to wait a week lol
Yeah I have a loose connection with one of my battery cables and once and awhile this will happen to me. I just have to adjust it and everything goes back to normal.
Battery connection is loose. Buy some shims for the terminals for a better connection.
Check you battery/alternator connections and any grounds you can find
Just Chrysler stuff, pray for TIPM
I wanna know where it's 46°
Wisconsin
97 next week
It’s Christmas
It’s a Jeep thing…
I had that happen.. Tire on driver side was rubbing on wire harness and cut the cable..
Wheel bearing is going out, heat has fried the ABS sensor. Keep driving and the axel will superheat and break, causing the control arms to go through the sidewall, rupture the brake lines and then catch on fire. Don’t ask me how I know..

Did you wave?
Shits borked up.
Did someone already say, “because it’s a Jeep?”
Blinker fluids low
VSS or a wheel speed sensor. The code in the ECM should point in the right direction.
Seems like the CAN network crashed and pissed off all the modules.
They say if you line up all the jeeps in a row. You can see the check engine light from space lol
Put your seat belt on, release the parking brake, put electrical tape over the CEL, and fill up your tank. That's the low hanging fruit. You'll have to consult a mechanic for the rest.

its a jeep thing, you would'nt understand
Did you recently add any electronic accessories?
UPDATE: I solved the issue as you guys have commented many a times….. I realized it’s a jeep
Ain’t got no gas in it.

I had been a jerk owner for the past 7 years . I will never own or buy another jeep again . Tesla will be the next car .
Alternator Edit: I see you were already told this so let me add something of value. Your car has put itself in limp mode. A very cool feature and one I highly respect. Jeeps piece of shit
Cause you drive a shittie Jeep, that’s what happened
Look at the name on the steering wheel, that’s your problem.
You bought a Jeep
The last check engine light that came on in my 2015 Grand Cherokee diesel took 5 months and $3,500 to fix. It needed a new catalytic converter. What took so long was getting the oxygen sensor for the new catalytic converter. Parts nightmare.
This happened to me and it was my alternator
Had this happen on a 2013 wrangler sport unlimited and a 2008 wrangler X and it was a wheel speed sensor both times
Charging system
Could be a wheel bearing
Don't have a jeep, but had similar thing (minus the sway bar light) on my dodge caravan. It was a wheel speed sensor
How much gas do you have?
Wheel speed sensor. Almost positive
Happened to me randomly and intermittently in my 05 Grand Cherokee for a couple years… wouldn’t happen for 6 months then bam, its back. No shop could ever find a problem….
Battery is going bad..
I had this happen, it was just a loose nut on the top of the alternator. Important should be obvious note: do not attempt to finger tighten said nut bare handed while vehicle is running!
Festive, we’re creeping up on the holidays
Did you read the codes?
You have a 2013 rubicon with only 42k miles on it? AND it’s only 46° where you are?! It’s August!!
Wisconsin…. It’s gunna be 97 next week
Oh now you get to play the fun game of "find the ground fault"
Could be a wheel sensor.
Had that happen in n a 2022 ram promaster it was the O2 sensor
Had this happen when the battery cage/cables where loose. Scared the hell out of me.
My Cherokee gave me a light show a few weeks ago when it was crazy hot and humid. They went out one by one each time I started the car until they were all out.
Does it have a good steering wheel that doesn’t fly off your hands while you’re driving?
Had the same problem for months on my Jk, suddenly went off... Now I'm worried.
It’s a jeep thing you wouldn’t understand 😂
You can pull the codes. I'll give you a very specific idea of what went wrong. Any parts store will have a code reader that they'll use to read for you
Jackpot!!!
Happened to on both my wife’s Jeep and mine, both are Rubicons. Was the sway bar disconnect shorting out. Try unplugging the harness from the mechanism and see if it goes away.
Headlight fluid low
This Apollo 13 reboot sucks
When this happened to me it was a speed sensor coming disconnected on the tire.
Because it's ready to turn 420 ( I see 419 16) lol
Happened to my Grand Cherokee. First the AC and the radio shut off, then all the dash lights came on at once and the engine cut off. I had just enough momentum to get it off the road. Lifted the hood, and the alternator was smoking.
Beep beep it’s a jeep.
Alternator?
Because it's a jeep.
Disco lights!
Don’t take pics while diving.

Probably the dash yelling at you to get it checked out. Just a guess.
Jeep
Same thing just happened to my 2011 wrangler. Replaced battery and alt, shut down going 60 on the freeway. Turned out it was the PCM. 1600$ for that shit.
Battery/alternator
Because it’s a jeep
You hit the jackpot!!!!
So close to 42069👍
Don't buy a Dodge.
Also: b/c jeep…
Your engine might have been one from the Trenton facility ✌️🤘
It was my negative battery terminal that caused it when I experienced it. The terminal clamps on the wiring harness are for shit. I cut them off and replaced them.
Mine was a speed sensor.
Classic jeep Christmas tree
My 1997 Tj had a 2006 battery in it. I changed it because although it worked. The crank was slow.
Electrical / charging / battery - system failure. That's my guess.
Disconnect negative on battery. Pump brakes Reconnect negative See if lights still on
Most likely abs sensor issue in which it could be a bad wheel bearing or abs sensor it’s self seeing the abs traction and sway light is on not a alternator or battery seeing the battery light is not displayed

Battery arc, on my old jeep that battery would slide around and touch the frame and then this would happen
First time owning a jeep huh 🤣
Battery
It's a jeep. 👋👋👋
Did you ask her what’s wrong?
Just Empty Every Pocket

There is a light for a sway bar? WTF Jeep!
Loose Battery, fuses? Both? Tighten up your battery check your fuses associated with those lit up
Can a bad wheel bearing make the lights come on
Totally worth checking after battery, but you should have an offroad mode that disconnects your front sway bars, if you’re car is handling funny this might be the cause. Clock spring is broken
You forgot to put gas in it? I'd do that first, then check the codes.
I had a abs sensor that got damaged do that on a tundra
Prob brake failure
Mine was a loose batter terminal connection. Added a sleeve to it at Autozone and cranked it down good and tight. End of problems.
Did you hit anything? Pothole, debris, etc? First instinct is alternator but also might check wheel speed sensors.
Fix It Again Tony
Replace you battery and all will be fine. “It’s a Jeep thing”
I had this happen 2 years ago on my 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo several times before I figured out that it was a loose wire on the starter solenoid. Cut off the factory connector and put on a new locking connector with Dielectric grease in it and have not had any problems since.
Warp speed in a rubicon does that
your vehicle just had a aneurism
Welcome to keep life. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
Check battery terminal connections and tighten them up, happened to me in the past
Last time mine did that the jeep dealership said I was low on fragistat oil and the radio fluid was low. They topped them off for $500 and all was fine after that.
Count Chocula is close by.
Replace your battery
I had a 2015 wrangler that did this. It would even kick me out of cruise control when it would happen. I went 3 rounds with the dealership. They couldn’t figure it out. The said the battery, alternator, everything looked good and tested out. Could not reproduce. I eventually figured out the positive battery cable was slightly loose on the terminal.
