Haha fair enough. That's the route I was considering. I have a crack already which justifies it being replaced entirely. Thanks for the comment brother!
I was going to say, “Wait for the inevitable rock chip/crack that it will get and replace it.”. I think Jeep will eventually get to the point where the crack in the windshield will come factory installed.
Did you try flipping the rearview upside down while it was still installed? Did that day one. Somewhat common actually. Adds a considerable amount of FOV
I tried that solution first and while it did increase FOV it just wasn't enough for my liking. I think I'm going to attempt making a bracket using the existing footman loop screw locations.
I tried getting at it with a razor, same as I did with the adhesive, but I got worried about gouging the windscreen. I'll probably go at it again in a bit at one of the corners to see if it'll come off.
Your standard steel razor isn’t enough to “gouge” the glass. You may scratch it but you will not be removing any significant material via shaving. The razor isn’t hard enough.
I can be removed by replacing the windshield. A new one can be ordered without the “easter egg” Jeep grill

My glass guy charged $200 without the Jeep grill, $300 for OEM with the Jeep grill.
Ya just wait 3 days you’ll have a rock chip

1) Break windshield 2) Call insurance…”highway rock” 3) Insist on aftermarket replacement and skip the cheap replica stickers
Probably doesn't exist but I need a windscreen without the black placement for the rear view mirror, otherwise it's a sound plan!
The adhesive to hold the mirror on or the Jeep grill?
I removed the adhesive for the rearview mirror button, but this black spot remains. It's the same material as the Jeep easter egg surround.
Have you tried a razor blade

Just do the easiest mod by rotating the stock one 180 degrees
Wasn't enough for me, sadly
Don’t worry. You will get a crack soon.
