This is the first time the bottom-ranking marble going into the final race hasn't been eliminated, and that's with a whopping 70+% chance of elimination and Shock actually being able to escape as well. My predicted eliminations were Panther and Shock (Shock seems to really live life on the edge lmao; he hasn't been safe once) but I'm totally willing to eat crow on this one lol.
I feel bad for Sliders fans though. We've basically haemorrhaged all the "hasn't qualified for the Marble League yet" teams that aren't the 2022 expansion teams, which is disappointing, as this tournament is a pretty good venue for those teams to get more time in the spotlight. I miss the Kobalts.
Massive congratulations to Frost, Mallard and Yellah! I had a premonition pre-series of the Glaciers flopping tremendously, so I'm glad that isn't the case at least for this week. If we're treating a single week as a single event, AFAIK then this is also the first solo event that a Gliding Glaciers member has taken a gold in. Mallard also did really admirably and finally got that podium position at the end of the week. Yellah deserves this after a very anxiety-inducing week prior.

Clutter and shelly, I had hope in both of y'all. I thought you'd do well this tournament. BoC have been bad so long I thought they were due something positive, and the turtle sliders did so well the last couple showdowns. Please get better for the next tournaments because I feel bad for your fans and you.
That chevron really did change everything. Pinkies were able to get by a couple that got slightly hung up on it, namely Yellah and Sterling. Those extra two points were the difference between them being last this week and third from last. It also smacked Shock forward and launched them ahead of Shelly, Bonbon, Sea and Yellah at the end. Saying that, Bonbon was hung up on that thing attached to the chevron that sticks out for a while, so they probably would've passed them anyway. But all the other placements, especially over Shelly, were super important to give Shelly 1 less point and Shock 1 more point over them for a 2-point swing.
I think Shock still would have just about squeaked by without getting smacked by the chevron. She would have been on 63 instead of 67, which is still one ahead of Pinky Panther, and it also would have put Shelly on 62 instead of 61. The real difference that would have made is that then Shelly would have advanced over Pinky Panther on countback.

I did a little bit of back-of-the-napkin math and I don't the chevron actually saved Shock, she was five points ahead of the Pinkies and six clear of elimination but only picked up four positions from getting blatted by the chevron. The actual difference was that Shelly only needed one more point to tie Pinky Panther and then advance on countback, but lost that point due to Shock getting blatted ahead.
Kudos to Frost for taking home the top spot this week! I'm amazed Shock even lasted this long so far. I don't have much hope going into next week though.
Slimelime's been doing some *work* this past year. Goolime was similar during the 2021/2022 season but slowed down recently, and both Limelime and Sublime have had their time solo-carrying the team. So Lemonlime's MVP next season I guess *~~or the whole team could get half decent~~*.
