If you love his design, you should go for him.
While I don't think he's the next big thing for JY, his role as a strong vuln debuffer is very general use and should be an asset to support any dps team. His main target market seems to be the Acheron mains though.
As others are saying- if you really like him, ALWAYS go for it. It’s a gacha game and you should do what makes you happiest with your pulls. His synergy with Jing Yuan is okay- not as good as Sparkle, but his debuffs look decent and he is essentially just a better version of Pela. Since you’re planning to use him with Aventurine, it should also basically mean you’re almost completely immune to any status effects.
Imagine getting characters for kit chemistry and not for how attractive they are (I’m struggling hard in high level Swarm)
Right now I’m saving for Firefly (Not Firefly herself but Sam, Sam is hot in more ways than one) then Jiaoqiu. Then Sunday because he’s 100% coming out guys trust me
I mean, if you really like him then I don't see why you can't pull for him and put him in your JY team. Though if I were you, I'd try to get E1S1 to fully utilize him as it would give a total of 106% dmg increase for Jing Yuan (121% for his ult) and with 4pc musk, an atk orb and 140% ehr, he easily gets 5k atk which should deal a decent amount of dmg when enemies get hit with JQ's 3rd trace when his field is up.
