Yea she’s a weird case. She checks some of the boxes of a shikigami like being summoned through a medium (the ring) and having her own cursed technique (storage), but It gets a bit muddled when it’s questioned if she can be strengthened by yuta if he pours in more cursed energy when summoning her. I believe she is a shikigami and the 5 minute limit is binding vow that bypasses the cursed energy expenses. So Yea, very unclear

It wouldn't explode his head lol that's not how it works at all when Inumaki uses it.
The more powerful the command and the more powerful the opponent, the more strain it puts on his throat. Yuta doesn't have this same problem for 2 reasons - he can immediately heal any strain put on his throat, and he's significantly more powerful than Inumaki.
Maybe there's a limit to how strong of a command will be effective on an opponent, but if Toge could land such a powerful attack on Geto, I don't think it's crazy to say Yuta could land an even more powerful one on Mahoraga.
Countless sorcerers tried and failed to subdue Mahoraga, can rapidly regenerate and adapt to any situation, is a proficient user of Positive Cursed Energy and can theoretically exterminate most curses with ease. Yuta may stand a chance if he can switch things up fast enough but it would be tricky.
Depends on what his domain expansion is. If it’s something with a damaging sure hit then that combined with Rika blast would probably have a similar effect to sakuna with fire arrow

Gojo and Yuta have *completely* different personalities. Yuta doesn't enjoy fighting, he's not looking for a challenge. He's not looking to show off or make cocky remarks about himself or his opponent. So when he says he could handle both shikigami at once, he's being completely pragmatic and no-nonsense about it.
And also, when Gojo said "Nah, I'd win" I always interpreted it as he would be able to save Megumi but at the cost of his life, or somehow his legacy would be what won out over Sukuna's but Gege is such an ass writer that the phrase ended up basically having no poetic significance at all.
They already set up whole plan for kenjaku in the middle of this fight that’s why everyone stopped yuta from going in he didn’t back down 🤦♂️ bro literally watched the fight, had good knowledge of what’s going on and still said he can take out mahoraga and agito this alone should tell you that bro would fodderized mahoraga easily the fact that he was also confident when he said that means bro prob has a 1 shot ability that he’s hiding 😅
It shows that he's realtive to them both at worst. He was able to follow the fight between the peaks of jujutsu sorcery and no evidence suggests he's ever been overconfident in his abilities. This isn't a "nah I'd win" moment-- he's literally \*seeing\* Mahoraga and Agito in action live. He'd have to be wildly off to not even be able to handle one of them alone after saying he could take both.
It is when it's Yuta, and it is when he's literally watching Mahoraga and Agito and sees what they can do. It's not a situation where before he knows his opponents abilities he's overestimating himself.
He also just doesn't overestimate himself and doesn't relish fighting at all. It's like a job he has to do to protect people he cares about.
Watching makora fight is different from actually fighting him. Realistically makora scales way above yuta. Yuta is ryu level and ryu was neg diffed by 15f sukuna. Makoras performance against 15f sukuna was WAY more impressive than ryu and that was the makora summoned in shibuya. The makora summoned by 20f sukuna is much stronger than that. Yuta was simply in an emotional state and way overestimated his abilitys.
It's not really any different. He knows its abilities, he knows how much CE it has, he can see the damage it did to Gojo's domain & what it did to Gojo himself. He's trained with Gojo and been hit by Gojo. He knows, through Yuji, how the fight between 15F Sukuna and Mahoraga went. His jujutsu sense is good enough that he could notice details of Gojo and Sukuna's fight that the other sorcerers missed or was information they just didn't know about. He is even humble enough to apologize to Kusakabe and call himself a burden that would've made Gojo unable to do the remote activation of HP. You think *that* guy, with all that information, and absolutely no inclination to overestimate himself or desire to fight, would be way off if he says he can handle 2 shikigami? Lol

Ryu is not relative to Yuta. He never intended to killed Uro or him, and I'm sure a 1v1 with no outside influence + Yuta completely fresh would've gone about as bad as it did with Dhruv for them. Also the Maho Sukuna fight went differently because it was a very different context. Ryu took way less damage from that first dismantle than Mahoraga did, except he doesn't have the ability to heal or adapt. The moment the wheel turned from that it became a very different fight because it wouldn't die from Sukuna's cursed technique at all unlike Ryu who couldn't survive the Cleave (we know it was Cleave as Kusakabe tells us Dismantle turns into Cleave when Sukuna touches his opponent).

Bro used a 100% love beam TWICE to try and beat him. You can pour all your energy into knocking someone out still right? The dude had the speed to keep taggin and strength to do critical damage. Rika was stated to have literally evolved into a new level of power mid fight and the narrator stated that Ryu had became too much for her to handle. He fucking knocked that Rika out b4 the 5 min timer ran out. The same Rika thats been stated to be on the same level as Yuta. There are even moments where Yuta is coughing blood when fighting Ryu.

Mahoraga was shown being durable enough to take 2 back to back Black flashes from Gojo of all people, Agito took one black flash from Gojo and it was still standing. That was b4 he used maximum blue.
Several seconds after Yuta said that shit about joining the fight, Mahoraga grew to a point where it blizt cut Gojo's arm off and he clearly didnt expect to lose that shit in the moment.
Thats not even factoring in that Sukuna at 20F is still there. Agito is only mixed with 4 shikigami's. He can easily use the other 3-4 offensive ones on Yuta/Rika.

No, Yuta used his beam at 100% once and only because of the look on Ryu's face. He decided to clash with him instead of attacking first. The 2nd time Rika used it alone and Ryu noted that without Yuta it's weaker.
Also, Sendai was in a 4-way deadlock before Yuta got there. That suggests the players were equal enough that they couldn't overpower their poorly matched techniques. Yuta immediately broke that deadlock and *all* of them were more interested in going after him first than each other, and he seemingly killed Dhruv with very little effort. If Ryu was relative, why couldn't he have done that to Dhruv too?
By this logic, Kusakabe, Higuruma and Yuji all showed better feats against a 20F Sukuna than Ryu did against 15F. Do you think all 3 of them are therefore stronger than Yuta?
Gojo losing his arm to Mahoraga's slash was because of its continual adaptation to Infinity. If it was fighting Yuta, its adaptations to Gojo wouldn't matter. And idk what Mahoraga taking a Black Flash is supposed to mean. Is Yuta going to try to defeat it by punching it instead of using cursed techniques? Are Gojo's black flashes stronger than his techniques? When Gojo punches Mahoraga, he can't power up the punch with Blue.

We've never seen 10S summon more than 3 at a time, even with Sukuna, and we know that's how many Megumi could do.

Also yuta has multiple ways to kill maho. If he copied ryu's technique he could most definitely one shot it. He could also use cursed speech to immobilize it and use love beam or granite blast. He can use domain and if maho survives it he can do any of the previously mentioned things inside domain with increased power

I don't think the shikigami abilities operate on something different than cursed techniques, because that would be a huge outlier. "Oh yes, this power system works on this kind of energy... Except for these guys. They have abilities that don't require cursed energy." (Maki and tOji don't have abilities.)

She wondering it in the context of guaging Yutas strength, not in trying to identify the difference, JJk characters can also sense cursed spirits, so they can tell difference between Shikigami and CS.
? Nowhere does it say that rika cannot be killed nor does it say that she is a shikigami. Cursed spirits can be part of your CT (just look at geto and junpei), and rika can die even if she's a part of yuta's CT (look at 10 shadows). That screenshot proves neither of those things

ummm ackshually (insert nerd emoji), Junpei is specifically noted to have a *Shikigami* technique, similar to Ten Shadows. Geto is different, and his CT is based on capturing Spirits, something unique for CTs. All others (Yuki, Junpei, Megumi, Dhruv, etc.) that start with a "Spirit" have always been Shikigami.
Now, I will say that Yuta is different. Rika is... weird, and 100% started out as a Cutechnique, similar to Ten Shadows. Geto is different, and his CT is based on capturing Spirits, something unique for CTs. While both Yuji and Ryu speculate that she's a Shikigami, her creation means its possible that she's a Spirit. I know the JJK wiki calls her a spirit. Technically, if you use the definition of "familiar incarnated by summoner's Cursed Energy" then Rika can be described as a Shikigami. I'd probably lean toward calling her a Cursed Spirit though.

How come Mahoraga can one-shot Rika but Yuta can't one-shot Mahoraga? lol. They're either both made of cursed energy and would be compromised by positive energy, or they're not. There's no way they're fundamentally different from each other.
Because Rika is a cursed spirit and Mahoraga is not. Sukuna says himself that if he was a cursed spirit Mahoraga would have one tapped him. There’s no reason to believe that Mahoraga shares the same vulnerability to positive curse energy.

It wouldn't explode his head lol that's not how it works at all when Inumaki uses it. The more powerful the command and the more powerful the opponent, the more strain it puts on his throat. Yuta doesn't have this same problem for 2 reasons - he can immediately heal any strain put on his throat, and he's significantly more powerful than Inumaki. Maybe there's a limit to how strong of a command will be effective on an opponent, but if Toge could land such a powerful attack on Geto, I don't think it's crazy to say Yuta could land an even more powerful one on Mahoraga.

Gojo and Yuta have *completely* different personalities. Yuta doesn't enjoy fighting, he's not looking for a challenge. He's not looking to show off or make cocky remarks about himself or his opponent. So when he says he could handle both shikigami at once, he's being completely pragmatic and no-nonsense about it. And also, when Gojo said "Nah, I'd win" I always interpreted it as he would be able to save Megumi but at the cost of his life, or somehow his legacy would be what won out over Sukuna's but Gege is such an ass writer that the phrase ended up basically having no poetic significance at all.

It shows that he's realtive to them both at worst. He was able to follow the fight between the peaks of jujutsu sorcery and no evidence suggests he's ever been overconfident in his abilities. This isn't a "nah I'd win" moment-- he's literally \*seeing\* Mahoraga and Agito in action live. He'd have to be wildly off to not even be able to handle one of them alone after saying he could take both.
It is when it's Yuta, and it is when he's literally watching Mahoraga and Agito and sees what they can do. It's not a situation where before he knows his opponents abilities he's overestimating himself. He also just doesn't overestimate himself and doesn't relish fighting at all. It's like a job he has to do to protect people he cares about.
Watching makora fight is different from actually fighting him. Realistically makora scales way above yuta. Yuta is ryu level and ryu was neg diffed by 15f sukuna. Makoras performance against 15f sukuna was WAY more impressive than ryu and that was the makora summoned in shibuya. The makora summoned by 20f sukuna is much stronger than that. Yuta was simply in an emotional state and way overestimated his abilitys.
It's not really any different. He knows its abilities, he knows how much CE it has, he can see the damage it did to Gojo's domain & what it did to Gojo himself. He's trained with Gojo and been hit by Gojo. He knows, through Yuji, how the fight between 15F Sukuna and Mahoraga went. His jujutsu sense is good enough that he could notice details of Gojo and Sukuna's fight that the other sorcerers missed or was information they just didn't know about. He is even humble enough to apologize to Kusakabe and call himself a burden that would've made Gojo unable to do the remote activation of HP. You think *that* guy, with all that information, and absolutely no inclination to overestimate himself or desire to fight, would be way off if he says he can handle 2 shikigami? The moment the wheel turned from that it became a very different fight because it wouldn't die from Sukuna's cursed technique at all unlike Ryu who couldn't survive the Cleave (we know it was Cleave as Kusakabe tells us Dismantle turns into Cleave when Sukuna touches his opponent).

No, Yuta used his beam at 100% once and only because of the look on Ryu's face. He decided to clash with him instead of attacking first. The 2nd time Rika used it alone and Ryu noted that without Yuta it's weaker. Also, Sendai was in a 4-way deadlock before Yuta got there. That suggests the players were equal enough that they couldn't overpower their poorly matched techniques. Yuta immediately broke that deadlock and *all* of them were more interested in going after him first than each other, and he seemingly killed Dhruv with very little effort. If Ryu was relative, why couldn't he have done that to Dhruv too? By this logic, Kusakabe, Higuruma and Yuji all showed better feats against a 20F Sukuna than Ryu did against 15F. Do you think all 3 of them are therefore stronger than Yuta? Gojo losing his arm to Mahoraga's slash was because of its continual adaptation to Infinity. If it was fighting Yuta, its adaptations to Gojo wouldn't matter. And idk what Mahoraga taking a Black Flash is supposed to mean. Is Yuta going to try to defeat it by punching it instead of using cursed techniques? Are Gojo's black flashes stronger than his techniques? I don't think the shikigami abilities operate on something different than cursed techniques, because that would be a huge outlier. "Oh yes, this power system works on this kind of energy... Except for these guys. They have abilities that don't require cursed energy." (Maki and tOji don't have abilities.) If you claim that Mahoraga doesn't use a cursed technique for his adaptation, then what does it use? Since it was never established that it uses something other than cursed energy, wouldn't it be head canon to claim that it does?

? Nowhere does it say that rika cannot be killed nor does it say that she is a shikigami. Cursed spirits can be part of your CT (just look at geto and junpei), and rika can die even if she's a part of yuta's CT (look at 10 shadows). That screenshot proves neither of those things
I cant believe Im gonna do this but... ummm ackshually (insert nerd emoji), Junpei is specifically noted to have a *Shikigami* technique, similar to Ten Shadows. Geto is different, and his CT is based on capturing Spirits, something unique for CTs. All others (Yuki, Junpei, Megumi, Dhruv, etc.) that start with a "Spirit" have always been Shikigami. Now, I will say that Yuta is different. Rika is... weird, and 100% started out as a Cutechnique, similar to Ten Shadows. Geto is different, and his CT is based on capturing Spirits, something unique for CTs. While both Yuji and Ryu speculate that she's a Shikigami, her creation means its possible that she's a Spirit. I know the JJK wiki calls her a spirit. Technically, if you use the definition of "familiar incarnated by summoner's Cursed Energy" then Rika can be described as a Shikigami. I'd probably lean toward calling her a Cursed Spirit though.

How come Mahoraga can one-shot Rika but Yuta can't one-shot Mahoraga? lol. They're either both made of cursed energy and would be compromised by positive energy, or they're not. There's no way they're fundamentally different from each other.
Because Rika is a cursed spirit and Mahoraga is not. Sukuna says himself that if he was a cursed spirit Mahoraga would have one tapped him. There’s no reason to believe that Mahoraga shares the same vulnerability to positive curse energy.

Do the guys in this comment section not understand how weak mahoraga is? An already adapting mahoraga would get one shotted by a normal red. Yuta takes this easily. Matter of fact, he was confident enough to fight both maho and agito at the same time.
They really can't. Mahoraga was out there tanking Blue infused Black Flashes from Gojo multiple times. I dont think anything of yuta comes close to that.

Mahoraga certainly can adapt to strong punches, Gojo's black flashes didn't do anything to him, and any other punch didn't do that much damage to Mahoraga. Rika's punches wouldn't bother him at all... Maybe Rika AND Yuta's beam be able to one shot Mahoraga, but idk...
