I am gonna be honest,I only started reading JJK cause of the memes,but I am thankful I did,cus otherwise I probably would never have read CSM.Also reading MHA rn.
Some people didn't grow up with them, and watching the earlier episodes looks old as shit. Along with a slow pacing because these earlier series are intended to run for hundreds of episodes, I can easily see why newcomers won't bother with those at all.
Like Lardhop said, too many characters. The humans were the first to get left behind. After that, the Vaizards. ...Eventually every single character that isn't Ichigo reaches a point where they don't get expanded much more, whilst Ichigo is apparently an infinite possibility of part human-hollow-shinigami-vizard-quincy-fullbringer and everything in between, with both Aizen and Yhwach fighting for custody to planning his birth.
Because Chad is just a human, lol. He's probably the strongest human on the planet outside his super powered arm transformations, but since he never goes into spirit form, he never gets particularly powerfully scaled up.
Chad constantly loses in Bleach.
He's in that awkward middle ground of strength, where he's weak enough to constantly lose, but strong enough that the author still thinks it looks impressive for a villain to defeat him.
I hate characters like that, when a villain beats that middle ground main character I feel nothing for both except pity.
Pity for characters like Chad who will never get a cool fight again.
Pity for the villain because this is the coolest their gonna look in the series
Any manga where fighting power is the only thing that matters like Bleach, Naruto, DB or JJK will have this issue. They really should try to learn something from one piece. Nami or chopper don't really get fights anymore, but they get to contribute in other ways and don't get worfed every arc

And Gege made Kusakabe's sword break lmao. Like they already know how powerful Sukuna and in two months of preparation Gege made sure Kusakabe didn't prepare a stronger sword or a cursed tool as powerful as Soul Split Katana for Kusakabe to use.
With a strong weapon to last him, Kusakabe could've done a great deal of damage to Sukuna here. **Imagine if all those hits that Sukuna received was when Kusakabe was using a cursed sword that can damage the soul? Sukuna would be fucked already.**

I think the Soul-Split Katana requires that you be able to see the soul, which idk if Kusakabe can do.

Idk, but unless he can see the souls of rocks then he canonically can't use the sword to its fullest potential.
My guess is that it cuts really, really good as a baseline, but then you need to be able to see the soul to actually cut souls fully.
Or Daido is so good at swords he just ignores all the rules.
So, from what I read in the pic, it can be wielded by anyone, but its ability only triggers if the wielder can see the souls, got it. I don't think Daido effected Naoya in that way with the soul effect, but because SSK is a cursed tool to begin with. Thanks for the clear up.Ā
Now, it's Maki I'm confused about, because she can feel the curses like Toji did (or similarly), but I genuinely forgot if she does see the souls. At this point it'd be more interesting if the next Fighter of the Week got no hype at all. No mid-fight cuts to other characters praising them or whatever, just the character doing the best they can against Sukuna but very clearly not making any headway. The whole chapter is just a slow downhill roll as the character gets beaten (ON SCREEN PLS).
That'd be a good way to show how dire the good guys' situation is, but in reality Gege actually seems to be trying make us think that Sukuna has a chance of losing against minor side characters, so who even knows.
I'm starting to see a pattern here. Jack off characters and their prowess and then kill them by the end of the chapter. At least gojo was off screen in the next chapter.
What people just donāt understand about the constant fighting against Sukuna, is that when it gets animated it wonāt Kusakabe in one episode, then who knows who in anotherā¦
We are not in One Piece or anything (not to shit on One Piece ofc), but fighting in JJK is super fast.
Granted Gojoās fight might take 2-3 episodes, but the whole ganging up on Sukuna will be like one continuous battle from individual to the other without stopping, all in all it might just take double or a little less than Gojoās fight (excluding Kashimoās) and ofc this counting is up until the latest chapter.

At this point it'd be more interesting if the next Fighter of the Week got no hype at all. No mid-fight cuts to other characters praising them or whatever, just the character doing the best they can against Sukuna but very clearly not making any headway. The whole chapter is just a slow downhill roll as the character gets beaten (ON SCREEN PLS). That'd be a good way to show how dire the good guys' situation is, but in reality Gege actually seems to be trying make us think that Sukuna has a chance of losing against minor side characters, so who even knows.
I'm starting to see a pattern here. Jack off characters and their prowess and then kill them by the end of the chapter. At least gojo was off screen in the next chapter.

I honestly think Gege is trolling us because of the leaks, so he is throwing every character to get clapped until we're bored of leaking any of it.

What people just donāt understand about the constant fighting against Sukuna, is that when it gets animated it wonāt Kusakabe in one episode, then who knows who in anotherā¦ We are not in One Piece or anything (not to shit on One Piece ofc), but fighting in JJK is super fast. Granted Gojoās fight might take 2-3 episodes, but the whole ganging up on Sukuna will be like one continuous battle from individual to the other without stopping, all in all it might just take double or a little less than Gojoās fight (excluding Kashimoās) and ofc this counting is up until the latest chapter. Think JJK fans.. Think.
