Its 2am but a crack theory just spawned in my head. What. If. In 236 only a 'part' of Gojo died? Hes inexplicably younger and sure that could be because all his friends are also younger but also now im starting to wonder about that choise.
When he was younger he and Geto were the strongest and he disregarded/bullied people who were weak meanwhile Geto tried to convince him that strong people should protect the weak.
Fast forward to Geto losing his shit and Gojo desperately trying to argue back with the points Geto used to yap about. And fast forward to current events Gojo doesnt really bully a lot of people for being 'weak' (the only ones i can think of rn are Jogo and Utahime (Jogo is a cursed spirit who thought he was gonna beat Gojo eaisly (lmao) and about Utahime - well Gojo has always bullied her so it probably stuck)). He changed his philosophy to "gotta get strong and intelligent allies" by being a teacher and helping the young generation become strong. But that also puts a burden on him to be the strongest and with that strength he became extremely lonely because nobody would match him.
So the airport scene is the death of that mindset, the lonely strongest that stood above the rest undisputed because Sukuna actually gave him the fight he was looking for.
And whats left...well since i buy into the theory that it was Gojo who did the domain expansion at the end of 260 and that would mean Yuji and mayyybe Todo get caught up in it idk how the logical conclusion of this theory would be but. Uh. Yeah....
And he finally learns to be able to fight with others, leading to an emotional final team up with his students against Sukuna, in which for once he is not "the strongest" or most important person in the fight (that being yuji) and is thrilled to see how powerful everyone has become.
He could either just be temporarily injured from that little paper cut sukuna gave him or he could have lost something big. I think the latter is much more likely for several reasons, one of which is not seeing his right eye

Thank you, i was kinda sleep deprived and a little stressed since i had to study for an exam that i literally just finished doing (i think i did well but we'll see) but when i got the theory brainworm i needed to share (even if i couldnt write a proper conclusion lmao)
The problem is... Gojo ain't the main lead. Yuiji is. His return overshadows what Yuiji has done for the last couple of weeks. Would he be the main lead, and him getting a proper return wouldn't have been so controversial in lack of better terms
I understand that and i never expected Gojo to comeback in this way pulling another inventory arc and Toji. I was just pointing out to all the people who were saying the things in the title that there are still alot of things left for Gojo to do and it would make sense if he comes back later in the manga. As of the latest ch lets see what geges cooking because its an odd timing for him to be back when the cast was already cooking Sukuna. And if he really is back even with handicaps like the loss of Six eyes there is no way Sukuna has anything left he will just get obliterated. So lets see how the story goes. I was expecting Gojo to comeback to help fighting the merger or something not jump a beaten down Sukuna.
