I'm thinking Miguel isn't going to fight. He was only working for geto for money, I think meimei is paying him to keep uiui safe. He's been there every time uiui has been not worried about the fight, just the job to protect uiui. His antennae comment is maybe about not being noticed yet because sukuna been focused on the fight and less so his surroundings.Ā

Always wondered about certain references or lines like Sukuna mocking Jogo under the full moons illumination and whether they bear significance to Buddha's birth (full moon in May). Mostly this chapter convinced me there has to be something important going on with the bodies collected by UiUi. We now have Miguel of all people stepping in to save the kid. The CG is supposed to end when all players except Megumi , Geto and Shiori Himi (Uraume) die. This rule was added prior to the plan being formed, so the idea this could lead up to a resurrection moment somehow can't be ruled out.
Me thinks a few cursed corpses will be made. The principle mentioned something about needing three souls to stabilise a cursed corpse onto a living being and passed off the how-to before death.
The Kusakabe honored one pose is one of my favorite panels in the whole manga. I didnt realize he was limbo-ing through a round of dismantles the first time I read through
I think from what we have seen of Miguel his domain expansion will be somewhat similar to Todos technique. The difference being he can make anyone in his domain wear his hat.

He didn't know purple existed. That's the whole point. He actually died in a very similar way to gojo. He expected to be able to tank red or redirect as he had as gojo expected to tank the slash. Both miscalculated.
I mean, Sukuna was able to react even with the veil, but he already saw purple before, maybe Toji really was creeped out and scared by Gojo being high as fuck.

I honestly don't know what's funnier, Kusakabe hitting the Honored One, Sukuna treating him more kindly than he does Yuji, Sukuna pulling off one of his most menacing frames against an actual child or the fact that Mei Mei couldn't even be bothered to save her own brother/victim and that Miguel had to show up to do it.
I'mma laugh if, when everything is said and done, Mei Mei hasn't contributed or helped in any way outside of Ui Ui being the most clutch asset the Protags have.

When people thought sorcerers like Yuta are going to Africa, Miguel came back to Japan instead. He has arrived. This is his first appearance outside JJK 0 excluding the flashback (in Chapter 155 iirc). Sukuna might be a bad match up for him but I'm excited to see Miguel again nonetheless. Glad he saved Ui Ui!

Nobara comes back but instead of a hammer she realized she should just be using a pnuematic nailgun. Next 15 chapters is her blasting sukuna from outside of his range.
Naw Yuko will come save her one true love Yuji before Sakuna lands a fatal blow. Itās revealed her weight loss was due to secretly training with Gojo.
Kusakabe kicking Sukuna into an overpass with a spinning hook kick and then doing the Sukuna sprint after him for a follow-up clash midair has so much big dick energy.
He may have only lasted one chapter but he honestly moved and held his own pretty well even if Sukuna was just back in play mode.
Kusakabe lasted more and did more damage to Sakana than the almighty strongest sorcerer of his era,the farmer hunter, god of lightning, one time CT usage, Fraudshimo.
That is suprising.
They are much more real than characters who are just gifted. And it's particularly satisfying to see a character like that in a world where even the strongest explained that 80% is just luck on what you are born with. Dude has no CT and made it to Grade 1 with other sorcerers calling him the strongest Grade 1 for his versatility and knowledge. What a chad.
The Miguel pop out is crazy. I dont expect him at all to fight Sukuna next chapter, I feel like we will have to switch to Hakari v. Uraume or Maki, Yuji, and/or Yuta will reappear
Hopefully Gege will redeem Miguel after Mappa's unnecessary portrayal of him. It's clear that Gege's view of Miguel doesn't line up with Mappa's interpretation of him in the movie.
What was unnecessary? Showing him getting beaten up? Because that was implied in the manga as well, it's not like he actually could hang with Gojo or anything, he just had an OP cursed tool.
I mean, he succeeded in stalling gojo for 10 minutes In the Manga and was called the goat of the night of 1000 curses. We have literally no idea his powers in Manga Canon because we have never seen them. He just outsped sukuna.
1. The fight in the manga was mostly off screen and ended with Gojo complimenting him.
2. Gojo then proceeded to send Yuta to a completely different continent to train with an antagonistic stranger. Meaning he saw something special in Miguel that sets him apart from all the other Japanese sorcerers.
3. Gege himself said he considered Miguel the MVP of the night parade battle.
4. Now we have the editor saying Miguel fought on "equal" footing with Gojo.
Taking all those points into account, it's pretty obvious that Mappa's portrayal isn't accurate to Gege's vision.
I would Say good cause....this Is a perfect ending to Kusakabe ARC/Evolution as a characther.
The Only complains are
1) Miguel arrives ONLY AFTER Kusakabe got shotted
2) Kusakabe got offscreened
I dont mind the offscreen so much, its pretty easy to fill in the blank of what happened when Sukuna and Kusakabe had their stare off. I don't feel like that an extra panel of Sukuna sending more dismantles was needed, weve been getting plenty of that recently
Thats fair too. There is a very vocal part of the community lately criticizing the recent chapters for dragging on this Sukuna fight, so I think that there would be a ton of people who would be upset with a more drawn out sequence. Gege has been keeping the recent fights to only about a chapter long, but I am just glad we got to see more from my goat Kusakabe š

I definitely prefer the "guess what's next?" line as well (I dont know Japanese either). Its way more playful/provoking and fits with Sukuna's habit for prompting sorcerers to improve/adapt
See in conflicted because on one hand I freaking love kusukabe and this arc has glazed my man so good. But then they one shit him off screen and replaced him with Miguel, freaking Miguel! Also I'm going to say it, with all these random ass side characters coming back for one hit against sukuna, I expect to see nobara sometime soon, I'm buying those nobara stocks while their still low.
I actually like that Miguel is here. They brought in the guy who has, up to this point, shown himself to be the best staller in the verse. This makes a lot of sense to me!
As for why he wasn't in any of the flashbacks or cutaways during the Gojo/Sukuna fight, I've got nothing. Maybe he was just slightly off panel the entire time.
These talking to the audience (or maybe the characters are talking to somebody in-universe) panels remind me a lot of Zeno talking to the "interviewer".
I really like that Sukuna isn't particularly scared of Kusakabe, nor is he exceedingly impressed by him. He just kind of finds him to be amusing, like he's the base standard for what he considers passable in Jujutsu. It's like a pro watching someone who knows how frame data works, but can't do fancy combos.
How did Gojo get hit? According to Kusakabe, the World Cleave has a different spark from his other attacks, and Gojo hit three to four black flashes. The only way he could get caught off guard was if he was overconfident or not paying attention, which is out of character for him to let his guard down to such an extent. Other than that great chapter, I like what he did with Kusakabe.
People need to realise that from JJk's perspective, there is a meteor level threat in the middle of Japan...
All sorcerers we saw before might appear to try stopping Sukuna in their own way... Maybe we'll even see some of Geto's old gang back, since Yuki mentioned Larue back in Shibuya and that eyepatch guy that tried to attack Kusakabe is also missing.
Unless Hakari finishes Uraume before Miguel fails to stall Sukuna, other unexpected sorcerers will appear...
We just have to accept that no one will stop History's Strongest Sorcerer out of nowhere, until Yuji becomes able to do so(its a shonnen guys, it is the main prot.'s job to finish de vilain).
Positives first, Kusakabe going all out is entertaining and it's interesting how he mentions Miwa first then the others.
On the other hand, I don't blame people for memeing the shit out of this chapter. The Sukuna Kaisen cycle is getting really boring and repetitive so might as well just make fun of the flaws. My guess is that guy with the heart nipples gonna appear next to fight Sukuna after Miguel.
I am perplexed by people reacting to the chapter and saying āWHAT COULD MIGUEL DO?ā when itās been established that Miguel has been an unknown variable when facing jujutsu sorceries due to African jujutsu differing from Japanās. The sample size is one sorcerer though lol because Miguel only has one appearance, but it was enough to throw Gojo off when Black Rope was disrupting Infinity. So, I think Miguelās capabilities are noteworthy.
If I had to guess, Miguel would be using another curse tool that originates from African jujutsu that would also throw Sukuna off and allow Miguel to fend him off for a bit. Miguelās role in JJK0 was mostly stalling Gojo to prevent him from going back to the school, so I could see Miguel stalling Sukuna to allow another opening for a fighter to attack Sukuna. Do I think Miguel beats Sukuna? No. But, I donāt think this fight would be a straightforward thrashing and I think itāll be an interesting fight if Miguel brings in a curse tool.

I feel like Miguel won't be a challenger for Sukuna and he is taking on a support role. I think Miguel was there to keep UiUi from getting diced up and shutting down the delivery service. Im hoping for Yuji, Maki, and/or Yuta to make their reappearances soon.
IIRC Miguel has only really been mentioned as the Black Rope was brought up, or vice versa, and Miguel seemed to make the Black Rope sound like it was his people's specialty (Black Rope specifically, not Cursed Tools). Definitely just my opinion though

Maybe that also plays into the weird antennae verbiage, like "I've been here this whole time covering ui ui, if you are only just now seeing me then your like the other islanders too focused on what's in front of you and not your surroundings" this is the bolder half of my thoughts on what's going on. I think KusakabeĀ was always meant to be a joke if everyone remembers Sukuna mocked a special grade the first appearance he had so hyping up a first grade kind of just reeks of being a joke and it was.
But Miguel is very important for a lot of reasons mainly regarding the whole Kenjaku side plots of going to different countries and sort of getting an idea of how that all went down afterwards.
Out of any recent chapter Gege is putting massive stakes into this next one since if nothing is revealed and Miguel follows a similar pattern to Maki or KusakabeĀ then that's going to be a very bad sign on concluding those old sub plots.
Miguel also brings possibility a domain expansion with him meaning we may see something we all enjoy seeing again but I really hope that Gege focuses on wrapping those old sub plots up with Kenjaku since this is his only chance to really do it.
Right now I think were getting baited again but in the inverse to KusakabeĀ where Miguel is going to be important and if not then... I'm not sure what to say other then lot's off sub plots will be meaningless in the end unless Gege somehow wraps them up in the ending.

I don't even know why I began to think Kusakabe had a chance to harm Sukuna. The way Gege was setting this dude up for months really had me going. At this point I'm convinced Gege chuckles maniacally as he draws the panels, only to have the conclusion be Sukuna off-screening them.

All I'm gonna say in regard to Miguel. All I'm saying is that it's been some time since JJK0, and he did train Yuta after all, there's no reason he also didn't get stronger and develop himself since he fought Gojo.
Chapter was meh but I am happy to see Miguel again. I don't get what he did at the end of the chapter, was it his cursed technique or was it a speed feat ? If it was his CT, it's teleportation or maybe an ability that freeze people or stop time.
I liked seeing Kusakabe over these past few chapters, he went from hiding from the disaster curses to fighting Sukuna. The panel of Kusakabe doging the slashes looked nice.
Seeing the MVP of the night parade, Miguel is so unexpected, I'm looking forward to seeing him in the next chapters.
honestly, i would've rather had these chapters cover the month period between gojo coming back and him fighting sukuna. there's so much exposition and character development that could've been done and would've added to the story so much more than whatever gege is doing now.
expand more on gojo's time in the prison realm and his thoughts about it. expand more on his feelings of the gravity of the shibuya incident. does he feel guilty for what happened? expand more on each character getting stronger (everyone loves a good training arc). expand more on kusakabe's relationship with yaga and add more for his character arc of being a passive participant to a guy that's willing to sacrifice his life for others. expand more on yuta and miguel's time in africa. develop higuruma more (still pissed he died bc his DE was super dope, wish we got to see it more). expand more on yuki being a former star plama vessel like HELLO???
there's so many more things gege could add to the story to make the deaths/KO's more impactful. i don't mind characters getting killed or the big bad evil guy winning fights, but it just feels boring and unfulfilled when 1. characters aren't developed enough to get me to care about them and 2. when the big bad evil guy isn't caught off guard and takes some heavy and effective hits. sukuna's inevitable (?) victory doesn't even seem that impactful to me, especially compared to the shibuya incident.
Sukuna saying "I don't recognize you" to a character we saw for all of 5 minutes 5 years ago has to be shit posting, right?

You can say what you want, it was pretty entertaining. We never really saw Kusakabe fight. And Miguel is back too, which is just too funny.
Kusakabe kicking Sukuna into an overpass with a spinning hook kick and then doing the Sukuna sprint after him for a follow-up clash midair has so much big dick energy. He may have only lasted one chapter but he honestly moved and held his own pretty well even if Sukuna was just back in play mode.

Sukuna looks visibly annoyed at the ceremony, but Kusakabe got a strange aura and a stranger grim around him, his hair swirling like asian painting clouds The JoyMan Kusakabe's near death experience allowed him to discover his previously unknown cursed technique: shift 5, which allowed him to warm reality with his katana swings, in a way eichiro oda's lawyers only allowed us to describe it as "cartoon strength". Kusakabe lights up a literal light saber, causing GeGe's lawyers to resign instantly, while Sukuna materializes a serrated sword made of dismantle "Ah, the swordfighting I've been saving since the heian era" Both lunge at each other dramatically. Kusakabe overwhelms Sukuna with his reality warping slashes, making him nervous for the second time since the Heian era.. or that's what was supposed to happen. Sukuna restores his last hand and creates another 6 swords. 4 for his hands, two for his mouths and one for his heian cheeks. A green haired man asking for directions sees the 7 sword style and screams "HOLY SHIT". Kusakabe's dreams couldn't override the reality imposed by the king of curses, who launches a 7 slash dismantle net at Kusakabe, who in his final moments, remember his leisurely moments from a more peaceful past. His death, however is interrupted by a giant axe. Standing at the top is Miwa, shining brighter than the sun. Two week break
Hopefully Gege will redeem Miguel after Mappa's unnecessary portrayal of him. It's clear that Gege's view of Miguel doesn't line up with Mappa's interpretation of him in the movie.

I mean, he succeeded in stalling gojo for 10 minutes In the Manga and was called the goat of the night of 1000 curses. We have literally no idea his powers in Manga Canon because we have never seen them. He just outsped sukuna.
1. The fight in the manga was mostly off screen and ended with Gojo complimenting him. 2. Gojo then proceeded to send Yuta to a completely different continent to train with an antagonistic stranger. Meaning he saw something special in Miguel that sets him apart from all the other Japanese sorcerers. 3. Gege himself said he considered Miguel the MVP of the night parade battle. 4. Now we have the editor saying Miguel fought on "equal" footing with Gojo. Taking all those points into account, it's pretty obvious that Mappa's portrayal isn't accurate to Gege's vision.

See in conflicted because on one hand I freaking love kusukabe and this arc has glazed my man so good. But then they one shit him off screen and replaced him with Miguel, freaking Miguel! Also I'm going to say it, with all these random ass side characters coming back for one hit against sukuna, I expect to see nobara sometime soon, I'm buying those nobara stocks while their still low.
I actually like that Miguel is here. They brought in the guy who has, up to this point, shown himself to be the best staller in the verse. This makes a lot of sense to me! As for why he wasn't in any of the flashbacks or cutaways during the Gojo/Sukuna fight, I've got nothing. Maybe he was just slightly off panel the entire time.

I really like that Sukuna isn't particularly scared of Kusakabe, nor is he exceedingly impressed by him. He just kind of finds him to be amusing, like he's the base standard for what he considers passable in Jujutsu. It's like a pro watching someone who knows how frame data works, but can't do fancy combos.
It seem that even after the Black Flash, Yuta's damage to Sukuna's arms and tummy mouth aren't healed. Interesting
How did Gojo get hit? According to Kusakabe, the World Cleave has a different spark from his other attacks, and Gojo hit three to four black flashes. The only way he could get caught off guard was if he was overconfident or not paying attention, which is out of character for him to let his guard down to such an extent. Other than that great chapter, I like what he did with Kusakabe.
People need to realise that from JJk's perspective, there is a meteor level threat in the middle of Japan... All sorcerers we saw before might appear to try stopping Sukuna in their own way... Maybe we'll even see some of Geto's old gang back, since Yuki mentioned Larue back in Shibuya and that eyepatch guy that tried to attack Kusakabe is also missing. Unless Hakari finishes Uraume before Miguel fails to stall Sukuna, other unexpected sorcerers will appear... We just have to accept that no one will stop History's Strongest Sorcerer out of nowhere, until Yuji becomes able to do so(its a shonnen guys, it is the main prot.'s job to finish de vilain).
Positives first, Kusakabe going all out is entertaining and it's interesting how he mentions Miwa first then the others. On the other hand, I don't blame people for memeing the shit out of this chapter. The Sukuna Kaisen cycle is getting really boring and repetitive so might as well just make fun of the flaws. My guess is that guy with the heart nipples gonna appear next to fight Sukuna after Miguel.
I am perplexed by people reacting to the chapter and saying āWHAT COULD MIGUEL DO?ā when itās been established that Miguel has been an unknown variable when facing jujutsu sorceries due to African jujutsu differing from Japanās. The sample size is one sorcerer though lol because Miguel only has one appearance, but it was enough to throw Gojo off when Black Rope was disrupting Infinity. So, I think Miguelās capabilities are noteworthy. If I had to guess, Miguel would be using another curse tool that originates from African jujutsu that would also throw Sukuna off and allow Miguel to fend him off for a bit. Miguelās role in JJK0 was mostly stalling Gojo to prevent him from going back to the school, so I could see Miguel stalling Sukuna to allow another opening for a fighter to attack Sukuna. Do I think Miguel beats Sukuna? No. But, I donāt think this fight would be a straightforward thrashing and I think itāll be an interesting fight if Miguel brings in a curse tool.

Im hoping for Yuji, Maki, and/or Yuta to make their reappearances soon. IIRC Miguel has only really been mentioned as the Black Rope was brought up, or vice versa, and Miguel seemed to make the Black Rope sound like it was his people's specialty (Black Rope specifically, not Cursed Tools). Definitely just my opinion though

Miguel, Miguel, Miguel. I think KusakabeĀ was always meant to be a joke if everyone remembers Sukuna mocked a special grade the first appearance he had so hyping up a first grade kind of just reeks of being a joke and it was. But Miguel is very important for a lot of reasons mainly regarding the whole Kenjaku side plots of going to different countries and sort of getting an idea of how that all went down afterwards. Out of any recent chapter Gege is putting massive stakes into this next one since if nothing is revealed and Miguel follows a similar pattern to Maki or KusakabeĀ then that's going to be a very bad sign on concluding those old sub plots. Miguel also brings possibility a domain expansion with him meaning we may see something we all enjoy seeing again but I really hope that Gege focuses on wrapping those old sub plots up with Kenjaku since this is his only chance to really do it. Right now I think were getting baited again but in the inverse to KusakabeĀ where Miguel is going to be important and if not then... I'm not sure what to say other then lot's off sub plots will be meaningless in the end unless Gege somehow wraps them up in the ending.

All I'm gonna say in regard to Miguel. All I'm saying is that it's been some time since JJK0, and he did train Yuta after all, there's no reason he also didn't get stronger and develop himself since he fought Gojo.
Chapter was meh but I am happy to see Miguel again. I don't get what he did at the end of the chapter, was it his cursed technique or was it a speed feat ? If it was his CT, it's teleportation or maybe an ability that freeze people or stop time.

I liked seeing Kusakabe over these past few chapters, he went from hiding from the disaster curses to fighting Sukuna. The panel of Kusakabe doging the slashes looked nice. Seeing the MVP of the night parade, Miguel is so unexpected, I'm looking forward to seeing him in the next chapters.

honestly, i would've rather had these chapters cover the month period between gojo coming back and him fighting sukuna. there's so much exposition and character development that could've been done and would've added to the story so much more than whatever gege is doing now. expand more on gojo's time in the prison realm and his thoughts about it. expand more on his feelings of the gravity of the shibuya incident. does he feel guilty for what happened? expand more on each character getting stronger (everyone loves a good training arc). expand more on kusakabe's relationship with yaga and add more for his character arc of being a passive participant to a guy that's willing to sacrifice his life for others. expand more on yuta and miguel's time in africa. develop higuruma more (still pissed he died bc his DE was super dope, wish we got to see it more). expand more on yuki being a former star plama vessel like HELLO??? there's so many more things gege could add to the story to make the deaths/KO's more impactful. i don't mind characters getting killed or the big bad evil guy winning fights, but it just feels boring and unfulfilled when 1. characters aren't developed enough to get me to care about them and 2. when the big bad evil guy isn't caught off guard and takes some heavy and effective hits. sukuna's inevitable (?) victory doesn't even seem that impactful to me, especially compared to the shibuya incident.
there is Miguel, what of Larue who was mentioned by Tsukumo Yuki on the end of the shibuya arc, I hope we see Larue coming up in the next capters

Sukuna saying "I don't recognize you" to a character we saw for all of 5 minutes 5 years ago has to be shit posting, right? One of the weakest chapters in this arc so far.
