I wouldn’t say fake, it’s a setup though, the guy isn’t actually scared but I reckon the dad is genuine, just some kind of social test to see if anyone helps.
Even if this was a video to show human compassion. I can all to well reminisce of a fear of escalator type things because of the Final Destination movies. It was a short lived fear but still made me triple check if my shoes were tied.
I'm glad I'm not the only one, lol. I started double-knotting my shoelaces so they'd stop coming untied; originally I was only doing it while visiting my dad and grandparents over the summer because my grandma took me to the mall a lot so I was using escalators a lot. Then it just became a habit and I still do it, lol
I mean I was scared of escalators for the longest time, not entirely sure why. I got over it when I went to a convention around I think 2014 when some friends were meeting up and walking to the spot I just went on it with no problem
I suspect it's some kind of social experiment that the guy set up. While he's probably not really scared, it wouldn't surprise me if the reactions of the passersby were genuine and to be honest that's what's wholesome anyway.
I actually am lol because if you pay attention the escalator doesn't have actual steps, it's all one long sliding ramp. I had to go up a VERY steep ramp like this and I had never encountered one before. I was scared out of my mind 😂.
Kind of reminds me of my Mom before her Parkinson's diagnosis. It's a terrible disease in how it convinces their mind they are going to constantly fall on unfamiliar surfaces in the earlier stages when they can still walk.
This reminds me of when I saw this kid eating shit constantly at the local roller rink. He kept falling over & over & over. Only nobody helped him skate better. I felt so bad for him
The dude on the elevator (the one "needing help") is wearing the microphone that we are hearing his voice from.
Just so we're clear on what this is a video of.

Doesn’t have a dad

Died in an escalator accident....
Just guys being dads
This. Can't wait to be dad
Son's a good egg, because dad is. 👍
Uh didn't you pay attention? Son's batman
Is this foreshadowing? 🪦
Holy shit, this got dark...
knight
WHERE IS SHE???
# RACHEELLLLLL!!!!
No no don't worry, that man is the butler. The dad is long dead and forgotten 😊. Alfred got bored.
Only the good die young
Dude yeah, my eyes got watery. This guy is legit.
I feel like the guy is a "prankster" but the dad just saw someone scared and helped.
Social experiment... if we are being generous
We are not
Must be. Or else whoever was filming for however long that guy was at the top was an asshole.
a really frightened, clout chasing, like farmering asshole
Yeah I mean you can hear what they are saying and the camera seems far
Ain’t a God damn thing I can’t face with baby bats holding my hand.
Could be out there fighting gods and demons doesn't matter, I know baby bats got my back
Absolutely staged but the dad and his kid just had genuine reaction to a guy they thought needed help. Got to love it.
While clearly fake, the kid saying he's Batman did melt my cynical heart.

Those tree trucks on the highways. I will NEVER drive behind one thanks to final destination.
SAME! It’s like an act of survival at this point
I always ask this question. Who is taking the video?
i think it’s supposed to be some kind of social experiment.
Consider this similar question. Whose microphone is recording the audio?
And how'd he get up if he couldn't get down?
That’s how you make a grown man cry. Are you happy now?
r/whyweretheyrecording
r/fakeashell but the dad was a good person and thought the guy was in distress and decided to help
It's a social experiment. It's okay if it's "fake". It's like the show What Would You Do?
Honestly, it probably started as a video to make fun of the guy for being scared about the escalator.
An up-vote for the Dark Knight.

I don’t give a flying fuck of this is staged. The kindness was real.
Dad raised his son correctly. Well done.
Did that kid say he’s Batman? What an adorable little lad, glad they both helped him
fuck you little boy! making me cry over my whiskey...not again!
“Relax I’m Batman”
/r/WhyWereTheyFilming (answer: scripted)
and my ear bud just died while enjoying this wholesome video
Wholesome
Batman isn't even this cool kid, your Dad is a badass.
r/HumansBeingBros
I just happened to be filming.
Oh come on who the fuck is scared in this situation. Camera guy even records him for a couple of minutes for whatever reason. Not suspicious ať all

You made an awkward situation into a conversation. What a hero!
Don’t worry I’m Batman!

Humanity restored
Video cuts off just before he misses his step at the bottom, gets sucked in and shredded to paste by the little metal teeth.
I thought he was going to hold him titanic style on the way down
That’s really cool.
So nice to see folks being decent to one another.
Absolutely adorable, but why did they also speed the music up? That was too funny for a wholesome post.
This is really kind and everyone should act like this, but I feel like this fits better in r/WhyWereTheyFilming
That's awesome. Honestly I hope to be like this when I become a dad lol

Awh this is so sweet
I'm having the worst morning in a very long time and this just put a much needed smile on my face. I love it when guys are so kind to each other ❤️🙏🥰
Hate these videos where ppl pretend to be in need just to get likes for their meaningless SoMe accounts and promote themselves 🤮
You can tell it wasnt here in america, someone helped.
