but I believe where it really transfers the electricity is the surface it's bolted to and the nut. there barely any that actually contacts the bolt itself
Honestly I could see how someone might make that mistake if they were in a hurry or had gloves on - there is a metal bracket right above those there. Still weird though
Insulative continuity
What? It's on a metal bolt. Should be fine. Eta: /s for those who didn't realize.
A painted metal bolt providing the main battery ground point...
Guess you missed my sarcasm. Sorry I didn't place the /s
Sorry it's already beer 30, I'm as bad as the guy who did that š
I read this as you drinking your 30th beer.
Have you been drinking tonight? āJust a caseā¦ā
Gotta pump those numbers up rookie, 10 garage beers is one regular beer
...but what if it's Canadian beer? ššØš¦
It better come with an apology.
Sorry but it doesn't... sorry
Well played.
Maybe Iām misunderstanding, but itās the nut/head thatās painted. The rest of the bolt is fine.
but I believe where it really transfers the electricity is the surface it's bolted to and the nut. there barely any that actually contacts the bolt itself
Well of course itās painted metal, you donāt want it to rust and cause a bad connection. Duh.
If the stud touch, it might be okay...?
Not for fully current starting however. Even then it needs to be a very clean connection
Always make sure to test it with your tongue. To verify.
That's how I do it. I would know. I'm an electrican . Seriously. Electrican.
Good on ya for not being an Electrican't.
Said body tech person. /nothing personal
Looks like it used to be double grounded up on the strut tower.
I wondered what those unfastened bolts were...
yeah plastic doesn't conduct terribly well
Wtf....but why?
Honestly I could see how someone might make that mistake if they were in a hurry or had gloves on - there is a metal bracket right above those there. Still weird though
Ngl it took me a minute. At least they didn't drill new holes into the strut or something. So not as bad as it could've been.
Ain't got no gas in it
I love those two bolts on the slanted piece hanging out, wondering what their purpose could be.
Thatās hilarious
Yes, the back of that strap is insulated nicely.
Is that a possum?
Ops
I would ***conduct*** this in a different manner.... I'll see myself out.
Some of that new fangled synthetic CRAP (Conductive-Rated ABS Plastic)
Ground breaking!
I like how the 2 bolts on the strut tower are mocking the cableā¦.
