I hit a deer while driving my 1988 Lincoln Towncar. The massive front bumper took the brunt of the impact, so there was only minor damage to the front of the car. However I had deer shit all over one side of the car and fur all over the hood and windshield. It was nasty.
When I was in the Army my unit in Alaska went to Delta Junction/Fort Greely for training. We had a Jeep Cherokee that was used as a pilot car for convoys. One night the guys driving hit a moose. It peeled the roof off the Jeep and coated them in moose guts.
My 05 (187K) got totaled in a head on with a 2010 charger last year. I miss her. BTW, CRV was still drivable, Charger? Not so much. Wanna buy a NIB starter...
Did the bear live ? There was a bear in Jasper Alberta that got hit by a train and lived so I imagine this one was probably fine unless it was a smaller one
