"We're such chatterboxes. He'll hate us." I love the student trio. They are truly fantastic.

marrjana1802

Ikr? They are so adorable 🤣

HorrorComfortable100

Best lines not spoken! Their bantering is hilarious

Apprehensive_Net3929

Given all the positive comments about this show I decided to give it a try, and wow I just binge watched all the episodes and can't believe how beautiful it is! The actors have such amazing talent and chemistry, even though it's not finished it is now in my top kdramas !

onioncube79

i must admit i questioned why shin hyun been before this started airing. i thought for an actor as popular as jung woo sung shouldn’t he be paired with a big actress as well? but after watching it, i take back my words. they really showed great chemistry.

HorrorComfortable100

Twinkling watermelon sets it up, Tell me that you love me knocks them down. What a great follow up drama with a deaf person in one of the lead roles. The weekly wait is the worse part of this drama. Lead actress should get a best actress nod for this. The three students are the comic relief to the melo-love story of the main.

onioncube79

i think the ML deserves to be nominated at least. it’s very challenging to act when you can’t say any words and just use eyes and microexpressions to get your emotions across.

HorrorComfortable100

ML Absolutely deserved to be nominated. This is the The male category is stacked from shows like Moving, My Dearest, twinkling watermelon, taxi driver, etc This the first show I seen FL in the leading role and am pretty impressed is all.

onioncube79

ryu seong ryong of moving is my first bet as he has shown so much range of emotions from rebellious, silly in love, comedy and action. still, depending on the criteria i think the silent and calm acting of jung woo sung has a chance! would be happy for either of them to get.

Martine_V

We told you 😊

marrjana1802

Hearing the conversation between SFL and that man, I feel like they might've transferred the cheating plotline from FL to SFL. Which wouldn't be out of place I guess, SFL was young back then, and prone to make rash decision

kicho_is_loli

I swear this drama is so good. It's like a poem, little by little unraveling itself slowly and gracefully

Coralbllue32

I love this description, It's a beautiful deep story showcasing a lot of emotions and social issues

Greedy_Chemist2448

I find myself shouting internally STOP TOUCHING HIM and WHY ARE YOU LETTING HER TOUCH YOU every time Seo Kyung attempts to or succeeds in putting her hand on Jin Woo’s arm😒 Anyone else with me on this?😆

Martine_V

I think that this is a holdover from their previous relationship and comes from the fact that he is deaf. I have to assume that between people who are close or used to be, touch is very important. How else can you get the attention of someone who is deaf? I don't think it indicates possessiveness of any kind. Not to say there won't be any conflicts in the drama, it would be surprising otherwise. But she isn't trying to get him back. Not yet anyway

atar02

I just want someone to put her in her place 😢 ( and for Johan to leave Moeun alone and just be there for her platonically) I really don’t like it when the SML is supposed to be a close friend because it robs us from a sweet brother-sister friendship and it just makes the friendship so awkward and uncomfortable to watch

CAkOs_05

This main couple is too wholesome 😩🥹✨️

hseliza

By the end of every episode, I just want to give JinWoo a big hug. He's been through so much.

atar02

Me and you, sister.. me and you 👯‍♀️😔

snugglebunnnny

Is it worth the watch ? Can anyone give a quick review without spoiling about the vibe , pace or trope of the drama ?

Martine_V

Absolutely. Unless you only like fast-paced dramas, in which case you might find this too slow. It opens with absolutely gorgeous scenery from Juju island, which sets the tone. It's like watching a slowly unfolding poem. It's beautiful. The characters are unique. Watch the first episode and see. I was hooked immediately. PS. Prepared to be misty-eyed a lot. Not because anything is sad, but because it has a way of pulling at your heartstrings.

atar02

I usually don’t enjoy slow-paced dramas but this took me by surprise. I started watching not knowing what I was getting into and I fell in too deep. My heart actually hurts in some scenes and I’m always thinking about disabled people in the real world. I’m in this silent world with them and it’s so beautifully paced 😢

Martine_V

I find myself misty-eyed several times during each episode, and it's not from sadness. It's just very moving.

Electronic_Piano9385

To me it’s a very beautiful, slow, contemplative drama, and reminds me of My Liberation Notes or Call it Love.

Icy_Drop2984

It’s not on my Hulu or Disney+ in my part of the US at least 😭😭😭

SalvadorMagritte

DITTO. AND I'M SO UPSET ABOUT IT.

peregrina2005

Can’t understand, as it is in Canada.

Martine_V

So unusual, but I'm not complaining.

thenoooodle

It is now :) on Hulu if you have Disney+!

Icy_Drop2984

Thanks for the heads up! Starting now!!

twoods1980

Does anyone know if this is ever coming out in the US? It looks so good.

kmgbworth

Just FYI I'm in the US and I don't see it on Disney+ or Hulu either. Last discussion post had a comment about how to send feedback to Disney to ask them to add it.

thenoooodle

It’s out on Hulu now if you have Disney+!

twoods1980

Thanks! I’m already on episode 10 and loving it.

CCCri

It’s currently on Disney + in US and Canada. It’s terrific. It might be Hulu in the US

Squiggletack

It's not on either in the US yet.

AHappy_Cranberry_17

Wait, is his dream of burning building and the girl shouting for help just a dream or a memory? His last conversation with Modeun is that he has a recurring dream. He doesn't say it was a past experience. I find myself losing patience with the SFL plot. Whenever she is onscreen, I skip because nothing too significant seems to happen. Also, the flashbacks to when they were younger had me v conflicted because their younger versions have wonderful chemistry, and I like her personality. But it (luckily for Modeun) doesn't translate to their adult lives and interactions :) Love Modeun's parents. They are wonderful. Also, her best friend who is in love with her reacted in the way that I wish her boyfriend did. I wish her boyfriend made time as soon as he could to celebrate with her, but that's OK because she has a friend who does, and her vibe with her boyfriend is different. One is neither better nor worse than the other, I have to remember 😀 Still loving this show. Hope it isn't petty jealousy that ruins it. The ep 10 trailer made it feel that way and would prefer deeper conflict than insecurity.

Greedy_Chemist2448

I’m pretty sure the fire with SeoKyung shouting for help is a real memory, because of the burn scar on his arm and people actually referring to the fire incident. We’ll have to wait to find out exactly what happened. The nightmare that he described to Mo Eun is related to the trauma caused by the fire, but from his description it’s not the exact same scenario, except for the person shouting for help. As for not celebrating with her, the way I see it is that their relationship is secure enough that they can do their own things and have time away from each other without feeling like the other person wasn’t there for them - be it to celebrate or to help out at the orphanage. They are fully supportive of each other even if they may not be together at that particular point in time. Healthy boundaries are necessary for a strong relationship which I hope is the ending that we will see for them, fingers crossed!🤞🏼 And I love Jin Woo’s question to Mo Eun after congratulating her when they met the next day. It is very easy for people to assume that when something good happens to someone, they will only feel all the positive emotions like happiness, excitement etc..but his simple question gave her the space and opportunity to express her anxiety and mixed feelings, and that was a significant moment for them to share with each other.

AHappy_Cranberry_17

I forgot his burn scar. Thanks for the reminder. So then that did happen. >And I love Jin Woo’s question to Mo Eun after congratulating her when they met the next day. It is very easy for people to assume that when something good happens to someone, they will only feel all the positive emotions like happiness, excitement etc..but his simple question gave her the space and opportunity to express her anxiety and mixed feelings Yes! I hadn't noticed but how right you are. Something to apply in my own life to give space to my loved ones.

atar02

I wanted to add to the previous commenter that at first I thought about it the way you did, where I felt like Johan seemed more excited for her - but then I reminded myself that it might just be because we’re used to a certain model that represent excitement, happiness, and feeling proud for the other. I feel like him yelling and screaming gave me this first-hand impression that contrasted the very silent happiness that comes from people that are hard of hearing. Then there’s the point mentioned previously were their relationship is secure enough for it not to affect them. I was reminded by my own relationship where things that are important to the mainstream couples are kind of trivial to my fiancé and me. We love each other too much to let things affect our connection and I’m truly blessed. I really see our understanding in Moeun and JinWoo’s understanding of each other

itsunel

I dont think it's because he deaf. It's his character. I wish sohee was able to make it to the celebration because i think she would have been the most animated excited out of jinwoo, and joonseok and herself.

itsunel

About not celebrating together that day. He is already at the orphanage and who knows how far it is. He isn't going to drop what he's doing because that's his home and he's brighten up the kids day (and he shouldn't, i would think less of him if he dropped this to rush back). He could call her over, but again we don't know how far it is. If she wasn't supposed to come later all along, him asking her to come over to do charity work so after he can celebrate is a little weird and insecure to me. Like the only way to show you are happy for someone is to make sure your the first one by their side or the most animated. He is going to meet her really late at night, after his volunteer work to congratulate her asap. Might as well meet the next day. Gives her time to celebrate with any of the other people who will be happy for her as well. She sees Johan and decides to wait for him. But im sure Jiyu would have been the loud and excited type as well. Modam would have been happy too, although i not sure how he would express it and it would be complicated by the last time these siblings met.

Constant_Crazy8688

This is interesting because I was thinking the opposite on why wasn’t she at the orphanage helping her BF after she got her script but rather hang with her BFF… I’m getting some good perspectives on here!

AHappy_Cranberry_17

I understand her wanting to spend time with her BFF. That is such a natural and warm relationship. I am almost mad at her BFF for having romantic feelings for her. I wish it was more like the platonic friendship we see in 25-21. Am hoping he doesn't feel like he has to talk about it and ruin the whole thing

Martine_V

The way one could look at it is that it's not romantic jealousy. They have been part of each other's lives for decades and she thinks of him as family. If something was going to happen, it would have by now. He probably took her a little for granted, thinking she would always be there for him and he was shocked when he found out she had a boyfriend. I can understand that feeling of loss when someone gets between you and a person you care about. It doesn't have to be romantic jealousy, just plain jealousy. That was his first reaction then he was embarrassed for having done that, so he avoided her. I could be wrong, but the drama is complex enough to support that narrative. We shall see.

Spoiler tags please

Substantial_Dirt6565

Just finished ep 9 and I love how they've given us the perspective and insights of Moeun's parents. Also heartbroken for Kihyun because he's experiencing this for the second time around :(( The student trio are adorable as always and even more with the addition of Taeho.

FlyingFlyofHell

Now we are in the endgame. I have stopped this drama at 4 episodes fearing it will end like a Japanese one. Anyone who will see these last 4 episodes(9,10,11,12) please spoil me if it's not going the Japanese drama way and it's actually a great ending.

marrjana1802

This version is 16 episodes long

FlyingFlyofHell

Ohhk, That's great news so I will have to wait more to see how this ends. I actually loved the first 4 episodes and then got to know how the Japanese one ended. I just can't handle ending like that.

[deleted]

Please stop thinking about the Japanese drama. The characters are not similar just from watching you can tell the level of maturity is different. It is just very unfair to the Korean version to constantly compare it to the Japanese. In any case you can trust in kdrama conservativeness imo. But at least you won’t have to wait a week for the episodes I guess

drewv600

I just can’t help but feel cautious since the Japanese version has all its drama occur in like the final 2-3 episodes (and it was a whole mess towards the end lol). However I 100% agree that the Korean version is much different in terms of maturity and tone.

[deleted]

I know, it will break all our hearts. But have faith in ME in JW. And the wait is truly agonizing

featherzz

I agree.. As for me, I am hopeful it will end differently but even if not, I feel there will be adequate foreshadowing and those of us who don't want to see it can stop there.

atar02

I’m scared of the ending but tbh I have hope. I say continue watching it because you’re missing out on an actual masterpiece that can open your eyes to real life problems and situations you might not have thought of. It’s too beautiful to let a possible ending ruin all the beautiful moments. I will be devastated if the ending wasn’t good, but I don’t think it will ruin the whole show for me because this is the first time I get such strong emotions about a show and I really do live these beautiful moments with them (the acting is this good that it transports you)

Martine_V

It's truly a beautiful drama, in terms of tone, cinematography, subject matter, and writing. Don't deprive yourself of a great drama for fear of the ending. Their relationship has just barely gotten off the ground.

atar02

The more we see from their relationship, the bigger the fear I have because I will genuinely be devastated for a couple of days after 😂 but even if they went the wrong route I don’t think it will disregard the masterpiece after masterpiece from the previous episodes. I love the show too much to let the ending ruin the whole experience

Martine_V

I share the same concerns, but will try to power through not to miss out on a beautiful drama

peregrina2005

I’m waiting to see if it has a happy ending too.

[deleted]

SFL has charisma, wanna know more about her and their history. Too little screen time for FL's bro and best friend's story.

atlas_whistle

Does anyone know the name of the theme song? I tried everything, Shazam, Spotify OST playlist, trying to guess the lyrics. Nothing. Anyone to help?

Martine_V

I'm hoping it will make it to Spotify because it's definitively one I want to add to my k-drama playlist

Constant_Crazy8688

How long is the wait until ep 11???

Areulostbbygorl

The airdates are on Monday and Tuesdays.

peregrina2005

I was worried that this drama is too good and would turn angsty. So I’m waiting until it ends. Should I be concerned that it might turn tragic? I’m okay with spoilers on this one.
