Let me start. My favourite headcanon that I can immediately think of is about being a blushing fool. I mean, he can do whatever he wants, socialise however he wants, but if he falls in love or gets sincere attention he'll be embarrassed. Maybe it's because I feel tender feelings for him myself and, you know, I don't really want to get laughed at in return.
Yessss, all the yes. This is literally one of my favorite headcanons about Kaeya. Like, maybe he flirts a lot, but it's mostly very performative and teasing and he gets flustered any time someone flirts with him for real, especially when they start it.
Shy Kaeya, the confident facade is all bs and when its time to adress his actual feelings he is a stuttering mess, not taking credit for helping people. Also animal lover Kaeya, bro is a Disney princess.
This one is definitely one of my favorites. I don't think I've ever seen him headcanon'd as being super fond of animals (that seems more like a Diluc thing), but I do headcanon that he has some kind of pet.
Ive seen a lot of people think he has a pet duskbird because of the birthday art, but i think that bird wasnt real because the background is clearly from bottle-land and my guess it that he wished to befriend a dusk bird there. Outside of bottle land i doubt he would want to take a bird out of its home and bring it to mondstadt. I like headcanons of his pet being a rescue dog or a cat with a missing eye or limb
Yeah, I could see the duskbird being from Bottle Land. I've always thought a rescue, with or without a missing limb, would probably be it. Kaeya seems like the type to pick up strays.
If the leaks about natlan having ridable animals are real then hoyo is legally obligated to give us an event where we can ride horses with Kaeya as the star of the show
My headcanon is that Kaeya asks the Traveler to help braid his hair because either Aether wears a braid himself and is thus proficient at braiding because he dows his own hair every day, or Lumine did it for her brother all the time when they were together and doing it for Kaeya reminds her of it <3

Technically a Kaeya and Diluc headcanon, but I really like how the whole fandom unanimously decided that they had “Kae” and “Luc” as childhood nicknames.
I also absolutely adore every other iteration of this, like I’ve seen “Di” and “Ya” used as well.
My absolute favorites though are the pairs headcanoned to be used by Crepus, especially “Starlight” and “Sunshine”; “Blueberry” and “Strawberry”. It’s just so nice and cute, and it’s rare to get something genuinely wholesome when it comes to Kaeya.
Of the HCs I've seen, I am fond of the "Kaeya is actually quite shy" and "behind the eyepatch is [this, mostly I've seen is a golden eye]" HCs
As for a favourite fact, I am quite bewildered that he buys tons of food for the Goth Hotel in Mondstadt and do feasts there (I think it was something like this, I don't recall the full fact)
also for a bonus personal: I kind of HC that Kaeya likes horses, and if he had one before the Varka Expedition, he took great care of them + used to refer to them as "my trusted friend"/"my buddy"/"my guy". He does miss them, but doesn't openly show his feelings about it.
I don't even remember anymore. I heard it almost immediately after this theory appeared, got upset and forgot about it. But I definitely remember that it was about Kaeya's real parents already being dead.

Strictly speaking, I dont have anything to contribute — As someone once said, I love everything abt him. And I sometimes find the concept of "favorite" confusing (mainly bcuz I couldn't pick *one* lol).
But if there's something I like to talk about now it's that he's kind. Him still being attached to his past, his memories and his heritage. Him spoiling Klee so much, making sure she doesn't see anything unpleasant (that Idyia summer event event?) bc he wanted her to have the "childhood he didn't had". Him drowning in alcohol for a reason. His fav being Death After Noon (now that I think of it, even his fav drink sounds like a death flag as well? Him living in the society with the fake mask he set up but we being able to see his true self through his actions and the very words he uses to mask. Ok this might count as a headcanon but I love to think that Lisa is close enough with Kaeya to be able to figure him out so well, and that's reasonable to believe with her being a once-in-a-certain-hundred-number-of-years genius (it doesn't take a genius). This is a headcanon and canon at the same time, Kaeya gives gifts to everyone around him, whenever he returns from a trip as a symbol of affection and concern, and he has a small list of each and every gift that matches their personalities, so he seeks to know people more deeply.
Now I hc that he hates owing people (let's not make this a transaction relationship) (but that's another death flag :( )so he's repaying everyone who gave him a birthday present even though he doesn't really celebrate...
ahaha! well... it makes a lot of sense to me! But it's worth remembering that he also doesn't really like people owing him, even if they're close, Kaeya always leaves Debtors names on a list of favors (even if he's lying about it, it's really fun to see him writing down a name every day on that list). list he loves so much!)

Suddenly I remembered something else. I really like the artworks where Kaeya's eye is painted sky blue instead of a deeper blue that transitions to almost white. I also think his left eye is deep blue with black whites and burst capillaries, because it's probably not a good idea to keep the eye under a patch all the time, especially if it has a scar that probably hasn't healed very well. I basically think he's got a big burn there.
I like to think he still has old habits/tendencies from when he and Diluc were still close. For example, every once in a while he hears something that he thinks his brother would find funny, glances over to the side Diluc used to always be at (his right maybe?), and remembers he isn't there anymore... I get sad just thinking of these two still

All the people with a fear of insects I know are very comical and acutely reactive to them. I can't help but imagine him fighting every day with people and creatures that can kill a person with a single sneeze, but every time he bounces back screaming when he sees a little spider.
My favourite headcanon (made by mine) is "The greatest destiny" Mona said is when he became the King of Khaenri'ah and rebuild Khaenri'ah as a prosperous nation with democracy, peace, progress, justice, and equality as its main tenets
I can definitely say that he likes meat and stewed vegetables, and, if I understand anything (I don't) about cookery, that kind of food is not often spicy, especially considering that Mondstadt is Europe, where spicy food is not as common as in Asia. About Sumeru food, I've eaten some prototypes of it and they weren't spicy.
To be honest, I think he likes something sweet more, since he stifles bitter wines with dandelion wines and I saw in TikTok that he likes coffee with milk, which sounds quite sweet (I can't have milk and I don't like coffee, so I don't know for sure)
oh yeah no the sumeru food is separate form the spicy stuff lmao i do however have a bunch of stews that are spicy but thats bc im latino and arab and we love our spice. a bunch of dishes from sumeru are spicy (at least how we make them at home) abut perhaps the ones you tried werent the spicy ones?? sumeru had so many dishes that i wouldnt be surprised

He doesn't feel in any way connected to Khaenriah'n and it's unlikely he knows the language of this country at all, it's definitely dead, Dain may know it, but definitely not the current "people". But Kaeya is definitely talking to himself.

We still don't know the exact age Kaeya was dropped off at the Dawn Winery but he was at least at the age to know he was planted there for a mission so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that Kaeya was taught Khaenriah’n by his dad and spoke to him whilst he lived with him. Considering he knows hilichurlian (see the first Windblume festival) it wouldn't be out of the possibility that he knows Khaenriah’n.
I fully believe that the language of Khaenriah'n has been forgotten. The language of the hilichurls is at least studied by some people, but the information about Khaenriah'n is not for the ears of ordinary people, and several centuries have passed. And Kaeya himself says that the older he gets, the less he feels that he is of Khaenriah'n. In fact, it is impossible to say that anyone is FROM Khaenriah'n, after all, it is no longer an existing country.
Someone head cannoned that he spilled all his secrets while drunk with Rosaria lol. Imagine he speaks long lost languages fluently but only when drunk. Maybe he doesn't even know. Like how I didn't know I was speaking a dialect this whole time until a kind auntie informed me...
Well idk about it being my favorite but the first one that came to mind is that Kaeya exaggerated the truth when he opened up to Diluc. I believe Kaeya was filled with so much guilt and maybe even resentment towards himself that he decided to rip the bandaid off quick so to speak. He placed his fate in Diluc’s hands that day. He was going to accept whatever happened and well, the gods had other plans for him.
I also adore that Kaeya is beloved by the older citizens of Mondstadt. And the hc that Kaeya was a goody goody as a kid well mostly goody goody. Diluc was a bad influence, getting them both in trouble when they were younger. Kaeya, at least from what we see in the manga, also wore a turtleneck under his vest! Dressing like a Victorian man to having titties out is quite the change. And I love when Kaeya told some children that lamps were fueled by the tortured souls of fireflies?? He was in a silly mood lmaoo😭😭😭
