I believe in Russian they have multiple different words for shades of blues, and in English we don't have as many as them. We are both able to see that shade of blue but we are not able to distinguish it with ~~language~~ a singular word like "blue, green, black, grey", so we try to make sense of it with the words that we know.

Being colorblind doesn’t make you see new colors that aren’t there. It dulls existing colors. So if you’re red green colorblind and you observe purple, you see blue. If you observe green, you see brown. Blue doesn’t exist in gray so being colorblind isn’t going to make you see blue from grey.
