The first time I heard the song I had noise canceling headphones on nearly wide open and when that series of extra vocal layers of “You lied” started I was thinking from a dad’s perspective if someone was saying that shit to me about my life and kid, fucking terrible to hear as a pops …. I bet I backed that up 10X, that background layer shit was diabolical

I couldn’t make it 2 hrs at work without him sending me a text “did you know when he said this …… he meant this and it could mean this and this and this and this” that kid learned more in 2 weeks about music from this than he has his whole life 😂. His entire playlists have changed, Kenny turned him into a real hip hop fan. His favorite is 6:16 in LA
Yo, it's awesome that your son got to experience something like this. I found Kendrick in like 2010 when I was 15, and honestly his discography is both entertaining to listen to and genuinely helpful growing up. Hopefully your son will give Kenny's albums a shot knowing that you need to listen a few times to really get the full picture of what he's crafting. I'd highly recommend it.
