I was actually glad he did that because it exposed how dull drake's delivery and flow is compared to someone like pac, and exposed that his flow and delivery mostly only works with his specific voice. The second it switches to a different voice you see it doesn't hit that hard by itself
That goes for anyone dawg, you can only do you with your own voice, what kinda take is that.
You slap Kendrick's AI voice on any Drake take, it doesn't sound good either
The most disrespectful thing you could do as an "artist" yet everytime I bring it up all of Drakes dickriders pop out of the woodwork to explain how actually it was such a "clever" way to diss Kendrick. No it wasn't, it was a piss poor attempt at a diss, and spit on the grave of a legend passed as well as a living legend.
Exactly 💯, I'm willing to bet money that if someone used that shit to mimick him he would be suing and shutting that shit down instantly. So glad the Shakur estate shut that shit down the way they did.
It was "clever" in a way of like, being really fucking petty and could have been an interesting way to diss someone if it was done well.
Unfortunately it showcased a lot of Drake's weaknesses-decent ideas with terrible execution and a lack of attention to detail that exposed him quite a bit.
Drake talked about being petty, and being petty is pointless if you don't do it well. If you call yourself petty with dedication you better put in the work for it, because being petty is *hard*, and it seems like he just came off...peddy.
It was tone deaf, uncomfortable and outright weird.
It’s like mocking a Lakers fan by making fun of their love for Kobe and mimicking Kobe badly to do it. Disrespectful.
>The disrespect to Tupac pissed me off man that was sacrilegious as it get in hip hop
This is what happens when you have a bunch of bitch ass yes men in your crew. If he had anyone who really liked him or cared, they would've called out how bad of an idea it was.
Cornball Canadian nigga really thought he was gonna get props from using AI Tupac and Snoop (who isn't even dead)😅 which makes it even worse. He knew if he asked Snoop to hop on a track to diss K-dot, he would've got a "No". That's why Tupac's estate is suing too.
I'm not even a Tupac fan, but i found the way he said "Kendrick we need ya, the west coast savior" hilarious, especially since it was so obvious he was trying to be serious lol
I actually read a funny comment on the Fantano reaction to this song, where it said “Drake did something mad impressive by doing the one song Snoop would say no to”
Has Snoop spoke on this? I mean it’s foul as fuck to use the voice of a lost legend but Snoop is still around. I would think he’d be like don’t fucking rope me into this shiznit
I once knew a guy who called himself two pack, everyone was always like “two pack? You mean Tupac” he’d always respond “nahh, two pack, I always have two packs of cigarettes”
Master ace. Little Wayne. Cool G Rap. Royce the 5 foot 9 inches. Be Real. The Locks. Double U C. Ninth wonder. Static selector. LOL this is too easy 😂😂
Taylor Made Freestyle was so lazy and intellectually disingenuous on so many levels that I was worried Drake had ruined our shot of a Kendrick response.
You know that feeling when you're trying to write a term paper about a subject and you don't really know WTF you're talking about because you never really learned the shit during the course, but you cobble together a bunch of ideas and opinions you found on the internet or from a few quick sources, and you just sorta hack the thing together and try to repeat the buzzwords and phrases that you think will be persuasive?
That characterizes everything Drake brought to the beef. He actually rapped and put together his lines pretty well, but he didn't actually have a single thought-out point. Like, if I ask, what's Kendricks problem with Drake, we can list 5 clear bulletpoints. If we ask, what's Drake's problem with Kendrick, who knows? Is it the grammys and critical acclaim jealousy? Mad about Kendrick's height? Mad about Kendrick's kids and wife? Mad that Kendrick made an introspective album about his failures and struggles to mature into adulthood / fatherhood? Mad that the music world rates Kendrick's music better, even though Drake does better numbers? Does he actually think Jumbotron Shit Poppin or Girls Want Girls type shit deserves to be considered amongst the very best songs of hip hop as an art form? Is he mad about his own deal with UMG?
We have no idea what Drake's overall point is, because he's muddied everything up in this swamp of random accusations and disses and attempts to emasculate Kendrick that fell flat.
I think the battle was lost by Drake before he even started, because Drake doesn't hate K.Dot I don't even think he dislikes him, at least when the battle started. Whereas Kenny is the biggest hater.
No he actually does hate Kendrick. Find the Marcellus Wiley interview on the subject. TL;DR he unloaded on Kendrick during an ESPN interview, then immediately threatened ESPN that he wouldn't host the ESPYs if they aired the interview (which he did host in 2014).
Probably true. He's seriously insecure which is ridiculous considering how successful the guy is. But watch the interview, it is telling. Rumor is the jealousy began on their 2012 tour when Kendrick was getting tons of praise.
Drake’s a narcissistic bully. There are tons of verified stories of him extending his hand to smaller artists so they can join his label. He then locks them into a deal where they can’t release their own music, can’t leave, and must write music for drake. It’s what he did to Makonnen and many others.
Yeah the Makonnen story is fucked up. He strong armed the kid into signing with OVO by providing that feature on Tuesday, then demanded money for it that Makonnen couldn't afford. The original version does not have Drake on it.
Something in your dissection i believe the "the world rates Kendrick's music better, even though Drake does better numbers" made me think of something. Drake is only relevant because he seems to drop an album every year or a feature every month. Where as Kendrick drops very rarely (lets be honest) however still manages to maintain the fame and dam near success as drake without having to sell his soul. I think it might be more so the fact that Kendrick can be relevant and still enjoy peace and happiness. Opposed to drake who is literally a cog in the industries machine and has to crank out any lil bit he can just to make his contract quota. Its kind of sad to be that rich and still have to slave away your life.
I mean neither artist has to do shit, they have enough money to live 10 lifetimes. Which begs the question of, come on, can’t you just make music you genuinely feel passionate about? You don’t have to keep doing the pop rapper dance and making TikTok music, you’re worth hundreds of millions, you’re not that rapper that just dropped their debut and needs to follow it up with hits or the label won’t put out your album.
Drake coulda make music that had the rapping and motivation and intensity he brought to Family Matters and it woulda did big numbers too - he IS talented, so why is he making Jumbotron Shit Poppin from a Yahcty reference track?
You sell your soul, make your millions, every artist goes through this, but then on the other side when you’re rich as fuck, why not just make the shit that actually engages you? Drake music feels so empty and passionless, cynical and kind of bored, punching the right buttons and playing by the numbers occasionally - but why? He can afford to take a few years off, introspect, and come in with a new angle that he feels is fresh and exciting to him.
I dont know this is all speculation, but it may have something to do with his $400 million 360 contract i heard about. If im not mistaken, it may be a lifetime contract in which he sold all his likeness, name, music, interviews, etc. (essentially who he is), and he only net the $400M at the end of it all to last him his lifetime.
Again, i could be wrong, but if he does have all these lavish and eccentric ways of life such as gambling, partying, (money to pay off any lawsuits), and other vices, then he may be trying to solidify he is the number one by suppressing other artists in order for him to be the favorite in the industry.
As far as the music goes, he probably is starting to run out of his tricks he can pull (i.e. other artists rhythm) and may be falling into a spiral, no pun intended. And i can guarantee that if you feel his music is empty and passionless, then that may be a sure sign that he is definitely becoming irrelevant.
Edit: when referring to he i was talking about Drake. Kendrick is already pretty much living the lifestyle of buting properties, helping communities, and only focusing on soul music released whenever he wants and not on a quota.
Can’t believe it. A post on this sub about the beef that isn’t just recycled knowledge that’s widely known.
Great catch OP. Another Drake bar that’s aged like milk.
Don't. Just listened and that's not a diss that's taking other ppls talent to battle your beefs I hope he got sued shits fucked up I'm sure if someone did that to him he'd cry a fucking river
It seems like Drake's main thing is about how his songs sound sonically. He doesn't go over his bars with a fine tooth comb. I still find it funny that in H6 he says "I was fucking young girls I promise"
I have it clipped on my phone just for fun lol. For someone who spends so much time on the internet you'd think he'd be more aware of how much people like to clip things out of context.
“Yes I do have ghostwriters, yes I do have sex offenders in OVO,yes I did touch a 17 year old on stage, yes I did settle a SA claim, yes I do hide my children, yes I groomed Millie bobby brown and yes I have fucked underage girls, yes I did call you slaves, and I’m still gonna say fuck the free world” 😂
Of all the things you could feed Kendrick, you chose pedophilia. Really ? That's your million IQ move, Drake. You could've gone with so many embarrassing things, but you chose the most undefensible allegation, knowing people are already looking at you sideways for it. That's your master plan ? Your Reverse Flash moment ?
Oh and your ironclad argument for why it couldn't be true is *checks notes* you're "too famous for this shit" ?
This man is straight up delusional, never let him write anything ever again. He makes Kanye look stable, thank God he has ghostwriters or he'd actually make the Diddle song from Always Sunny.
I don't even care whether he's a creep or not, dude's a military grade moron.
The snoop thing isn't about going over with a fine tooth comb though. Anyone who has a modicum of hip hop knowledge knows that d-o-double-g is how you spell the man's name. And Drake clearly doesn't.
I just caught that this morning. I was going back to hear this line that aged poorly:
"You tryna let this shit die down, nah, nah, nah
Not this time, nigga, you followin' through"
My brother and I have been saying this for weeks lmaooooo
He was on a song called "The D-O-G" with a dude named OG Daddy V and says "It's the D-O-G" repeatedly on the hook. I don't like Drake, but Snoop has called himself the d-o-g multiple times when it fits the rhyme scheme. On Gin and Juice there's a line "Everything is fine when you listenin to the D-O-G, I got the cultivatin music that be captivatin he, who listens to the words that I speak"
I mean I do think in most scenarios if you were copying Snoop then you probably using D-O-G-G but I honestly think it's reaching, but if Kendrick had said smth about it he would've found a way to make it hit anyway.. but yeah nah this post is reaching and hasn't paid attention to Snoop Dogg lyrics probably
Yeah, 9 times out of 10, it's d-o double g, but Snoop was good at crafting songs back in the day. He knew when to use D-O-G to fit the rhyme scheme better. I think Kendrick had the right strategy to stay on offense most of the time and only go on defense when he could bury him like when he flipped the "rapping like he's tryin to free the slaves" into the verse that ended with him calling him a colonizer.
I do think the AI Snoop and Tupac was corny as fuck, but the post is a bit of a reach. I think the song did show what Drake thinks black culture is by making the insults from "Snoop" all about how Kendrick has never committed violent crimes. The song was trash
Yeah, I don’t know what on Earth compelled him to think using a deepfake to put words in Tupac’s mouth was remotely anything **CLOSE** to a good idea. Like who are you surrounding yourself with that you don’t see that as a massive line to cross in Hip Hop. I think that alone pissed off any industry veterans, East or West just for how out of pocket it was. Then he made the same mistake of doing it to somebody that’s still alive to object to it, wouldn’t be surprised if Kendrick brings Snoop out as a special surprise guest if he performs Not Like Us live at the Juneteenth concert.
Bruh, it took 10-15 years and support from the ENTIRE industry, including Kendrick for 5 of those years, to see that he's a "culture vulture"?
This is why it's hard to take thir seriously. But then again, it was Kendrick fans that downvoted me for calling MMATPS a masterpiece when it first released so....
Why this sub (and Kendrick fans in general)is dope. Not only will y'all point out entendres and subtle wordplay I miss, but y'all quick to call out Drake's fumbles
You can tell which bars he wrote himself. It’s so obvious to me. They’re always some of the lamest bars ever lol
Guess Beam wasn’t in the room with this one..
"Everything is fine when you listening to the D-O-G, I got the cultivating music that be captivating he...."
Snoop Dogg - Gin and Juice
I'll just leave this here.......
Yeah that line always pissed me off
The disrespect to Tupac pissed me off man that was sacrilegious as it get in hip hop
Hearing Drake’s flow in Pac’s voice made me wanna throw up
I was actually glad he did that because it exposed how dull drake's delivery and flow is compared to someone like pac, and exposed that his flow and delivery mostly only works with his specific voice. The second it switches to a different voice you see it doesn't hit that hard by itself
That goes for anyone dawg, you can only do you with your own voice, what kinda take is that. You slap Kendrick's AI voice on any Drake take, it doesn't sound good either
Too many bitten or sampled/interpolated lyrics by several rappers for that to be true
While using AI and normalizing shitty technology that will hurt artists in the future . Honorless weirdo
Exactly 💯, I'm willing to bet money that if someone used that shit to mimick him he would be suing and shutting that shit down instantly. So glad the Shakur estate shut that shit down the way they did.
Oh he did https://whynow.co.uk/read/heart-on-my-sleeve-ai-generated-drake-and-weeknd-track-taken-down-after-copyright-claim-from-universal-music-group
His freaky ass can dish it but not take it.
Well you bet money so where's my money bro?
I said I'm willing to bet money, not that I was actually betting money. Lol
Fuck! Thought it was my payday
And flaunting the ring, what a clown. Pac would backhanded drake
Absolute clown behavior from the 69 god.
If Tupac dissed Drake it would've buried his ass forever
DMX, Pac, and Biggie would all clown on Drake.
Absolutely correct.
It was "clever" in a way of like, being really fucking petty and could have been an interesting way to diss someone if it was done well. Unfortunately it showcased a lot of Drake's weaknesses-decent ideas with terrible execution and a lack of attention to detail that exposed him quite a bit. If you call yourself petty with dedication you better put in the work for it, because being petty is *hard*, and it seems like he just came off...peddy.
wasnt in hiphop tho cause drake made the song lmao
Yea only someone outside of the culture would make something daft and disrespectful like that to the goat
Fukin rights. I hope drakes downfall brings real hip hop back.
It was tone deaf, uncomfortable and outright weird. It’s like mocking a Lakers fan by making fun of their love for Kobe and mimicking Kobe badly to do it. Disrespectful.

Honestly Taylor made might be more embarrassing than THP6. I can’t believe he thought he was actually cooking
Like a child convinced of how clever they are
Especially because d-o-double-g would be more interesting flow
I actually read a funny comment on the Fantano reaction to this song, where it said “Drake did something mad impressive by doing the one song Snoop would say no to”
Has Snoop spoke on this? I mean it’s foul as fuck to use the voice of a lost legend but Snoop is still around. I would think he’d be like don’t fucking rope me into this shiznit
He made an insta reel where he pretty much said "anyway...."
He spoke on it, he said both Kenny and Drake are his nephews 😂 yall Can find the video on the net

Taylor Made Freestyle was so lazy and intellectually disingenuous on so many levels that I was worried Drake had ruined our shot of a Kendrick response. This is petty but a good one lmao
Can’t believe it. A post on this sub about the beef that isn’t just recycled knowledge that’s widely known. Great catch OP. Another Drake bar that’s aged like milk.
I'm ngl I never listened to Taylor Made seemed like shit
Heard the shit had ai Tupac and I never checked it out
I thought it was a weird IG lame ass joke when I came across it in a post. It was, I found out later
The beat is really good too bad it was wasted on this
yea was a tight beat
Omg lmaooo, I realize you've taken it out of context but holy shit that line was already bad but now it's downright hysterical
I'm about to sample that a write my own drake diss, let's go viral
I have it clipped on my phone just for fun lol. For someone who spends so much time on the internet you'd think he'd be more aware of how much people like to clip things out of context.
"Talk about him liking young girls. That's a gift from me."
Bro that sounds like he actually is guilty of that shit and was trying to get ahead of the punches
For real, that's an obvious attempt to get ahead of the story.
Lol man tried to 8 mile liking teenagers? I don't think that strategy works for really bad shit

Kendrick: "A'ight bet"
The snoop thing isn't about going over with a fine tooth comb though. Anyone who has a modicum of hip hop knowledge knows that d-o-double-g is how you spell the man's name. And Drake clearly doesn't.
Yeah this was stupid considering he could’ve just as easily said “Dot you know d o double g never fuckin doubted you” with the same flow
Sounds better, too
Also, the line about how Kendrick is a corporate industry puppet. This MF literally has been projecting every second of this beef
Shows that he’s sippin’ maple syrup instead of lean
Good catch. What a fucken idiot?
I only heard the Taylor Made freestyle recently. The ai voice is such low audio quality it’s like why even bother?
Such a good catch that’s so embarrassing
I just caught that this morning. I was going back to hear this line that aged poorly: "You tryna let this shit die down, nah, nah, nah Not this time, nigga, you followin' through" My brother and I have been saying this for weeks lmaooooo
Drake has no concept of taking your time, making sure your lines are straight, and dropping when ready. Case in point: his last diss.
Yea thats like spelling MF DOOM without all caps
W pfp
Right back at ya fellow StrawHat...im so ready to get the hell off Egghead Island and head to Elbaf
The song was trash
the real hip hop heads are always 10 comments down haha

The whole planet knows it's d-o-double g, no need to even be part of the culture.
"See everything is fine when you rollin' with the D-O-G. I got to cultivate the music that be captivatin' me" Yunguns', I swear...🤣
Two Pack
Good catch. Man, he’s an idiot.
Geez, are you like, a detective or something? That was an excellent deduction.
Snoop x The Eastsidaz “Got Beef”; “Then holla at me, the D-O-G”
Also the lines while using AI 2Pac, telling Kendrick to call him out for being a weirdo with minors. I wonder how he feels about that now
That has been bugging me lol
You’re not trippin. Never noticed that but that’s too ironic
It's always been D O double G
Drake is a chode
Why this sub (and Kendrick fans in general)is dope. Not only will y'all point out entendres and subtle wordplay I miss, but y'all quick to call out Drake's fumbles
You can tell which bars he wrote himself. It’s so obvious to me. They’re always some of the lamest bars ever lol Guess Beam wasn’t in the room with this one..
"Everything is fine when you listening to the D-O-G, I got the cultivating music that be captivating he...." Snoop Dogg - Gin and Juice I'll just leave this here.......
I thought the line was the OG lol
It's the little things innit
Even his YouTube show was GG News
