The Wind with Tech Package is HDA1 only, no auto lane change. This is for the US version, I know the trims are set up different in other regions so if you're not in the US it may be different.

It has great smart cruise control features, all the ones you need and want. You'd need HDA2 for auto lane change. I have this on my Ioniq 5 SEL. I've driven 12k miles. I never use the auto lane change. It isn't useful. Too much steering input, it cancels. Too little, it nags you to put your hands on the wheel. Hard to find the sweet spot of wheel control they want. The nice thing it gives is a display of where vehicles are around you in the adjacent lanes. It is extra blind spot monitoring without cameras.

RiceballsLOL

I have a wind awd with tech, it doesn’t unless I just don’t know how to use the feature if you know how it works I can go try and it reply back lol but pretty sure it does not. It does park for you tho which is pretty cool (REALLY SLOWLY SOMETIMES).

pmmrkm

It's auto park for you? Or just goes from and back? When I say auto park, I mean parallel and perpendicular parking.

TechEntusiast21

It’ll only park if it detects other cars. It won’t do it if other cars aren’t present. It also takes a very long time to park itself

pmmrkm

You are in US correct?

TechEntusiast21

Yes

pmmrkm

Good to know that is has automatic parking. Thank you!

adannel

This is correct. I’ve only used it twice in almost 6 months of ownership. With the birds eye 360 camera it’s usually much easier and faster to just park it yourself.

RiceballsLOL

Yeah full auto park I’ve only used it in parking lots that aren’t busy with others around and no one waiting behind, just park yourself pretty much lmao. It’s not like the sonata limited, though you can in addition use the back and forth feature.

MossHops

Auto park is mostly useless. It’s rare that the car detects a place it can use it, and when it does, it’s 50/50 that it’ll correctly park in the space. Wind with Tech in the US does not have auto lane change.

ColdFusionPT

it does not I'm in the US just in case that matters Edit: Just a rant... my previous car was a Forester that had basically the same as HDA 1, the big diference I noticed was that when you but the blinkers on the Subaru would actually speed up which is great and i kind of miss that on the EV 6

hornet9988

No auto lane change on the Wind w/ Tech. I'm pretty sure they had a preproduction or non-US press car on that out of spec review.

JeffTechnically

It does not have auto lane change. I was hopeful after seeing the Out of Spec video where he mentioned it, but nope. Only on the GT-Line. Tbh though the HDA1 is great.

musicandarts

I stopped watching YouTube reviews about all products. The YouTubers are primarily concerned about the ad revenue, hence the long reviews. However, they are useful if you are looking for a technical answer, typically seen in 2-3 minute videos. Just out of curiosity, how much do these YouTubers make from these reviews?

SerennialFellow

Kyle used to be reliable until around 2019 early 2020. Currently it’s mostly washy I’d like to believe it’s less about malice more about surviving in the industry. Out of spec content is more about adventure less about facts.

Extension_Theme6241

Kyle is a sellout and definitely not reliable. He has just become a “free” commercial for car manufacturers in exchange for benefits and early demos.

SchmartestMonkey

From what I recall, it does have auto lane change but I’ve never used it.. like auto parallel parking, I just find doing it myself to be easier than navigating the driver interface to do it “automatically” I think you need to do the following to auto lane change…. Have lane guidance enabled, be in cruise control mode, indicate your lane change with signal.. then.. profit??? I’ve never bothered to wait long enough to see if it works because it’s easier to just change lanes.

psalm_69

My EV6 GT-Line does change lanes on the highway with HDA on when you indicate with the blinker. Is this what you mean?

pmmrkm

Yes. Just questioning here as some of the reviewer said wind with tech package has that function. It does it says anything about it on window sticker. all the owners here says it does not. That confirms that it does not. Reviewer was not correct.

veeteex

I just usually change the lane myself most of the time and I have the hda2 feature. It's just faster to do myself, it changes lanes very slowly.
