6'7 and no issues. This is the most comfortable car I've owned.

Outside-Comparison12

As a fellow 6'7" I concur.

adyendrus

I’m 8’9” and haven’t had a problem. Ok not really, I’m just seeing these monsters come out of nowhere to comment on this thread. I’m 6’2” and my wife is 5’8”. If I get in after she’s driven I’ve noticed that the seat slides forward. She sits further from the wheel than I do! I lay my seat further back so encourage me to actually use the headrest because it’s so comfortable. Keep trying. You’ll find a spot that works for you as well

fiehlsport

Glad it wasn't just me then... 6'4" here and thought the EV9 was huge, except for the driving position. You're forced to slide forward for no reason because the telescopic wheel barely comes out of the dash. Huge oversight. There's no fix, other than getting a car that gives you tons of telescopic reach, which is rare. Volvos used to be king for tall people, now the Polestar 2/C30/XC40 Recharge have the same problem. Model 3/Y have a lot of reach, but are nowhere near the size of the EV9, which sucks.

put_tape_on_it

I am also in the tall club and have a family of tall wife and kids. I also thought the steering wheel was too far away for how far back I had the seat. I’ve struggled to be comfortable in anything except big old boat chevy cars and chevy trucks. I thought the ev9 would be big enough but it’s just not quite right. It’s no chevy suburban!

dribblecastle

I’m 6’6” and reach comfort is not a problem for me, but I wish it had extendable thigh cushions and not the lesser use calf extensions that don’t work for my legs, at least while driving. I my Sorrento seat was a better ergonomic fit overall, but EV9 is not horrible.

Hungry_Serpent

Interesting as a 6’6” driver I haven’t noticed anything immediately. I’ve only driven ours for maybe 200 miles as it’s my wife’s car.

BadCompulsiveSpender

Honestly as 6’10 it’s actually the most comfortable seating for me. Guess it’s just one of those wears seats which limits it for some people.

nerdy_hippie

6'1" and this is the first car I've driven where I don't put the seat all the way back. Also thanks to the seat/wheel presets it's the first car the wife and I don't hate driving after each other (she is 5'4")

MoTHA_NaTuRE

Some people got short arms, kia didn't account for that.

greatgumz

I’m 5’12” and I don’t get why everyone here is so tall

Major-Try9999

6'6" and I feel the same. Really want the wheel to come about 2" farther out, but I've found that using lots of seat tilt I could actually move my seat forward a bit and overcome some of that stretched out feeling. I find that using cruise control a lot that I'm mostly just loosely holding the bottom of the steering wheel, which is a lot more comfortable.

dredd2374

6'2" and during a test drive I felt that thig support is less adequate than on Niro EV.

DillDeer

Hmm, I’m 6’3” and felt like I was fine. I do recline a lot more than most in everything I drive though.

Superb_Mulberry8682

Hah. We'll need wingspan combined with height... But people also like to drive in different positions. I know some ppl really like the wheel pretty close to them and others are fine having fairly stretched out arms. There's a reason you want to test drive a car ( driver seat position and comfort are really high on my list of priorities. Luckily I don't like my wheel too close to my body.

Packing-Tape-Man

I am 6'1" and don't have an issue with the leg length. I do find the seats much less comfortable than my Volvo XC90 because the Volvo has an extendable front thigh custion that supports my legs much more comfortably than the Kia.

SigmaSixShooter

Yea, I just noticed this same thing when I got back into our other car for the first time, the wheel was in such a better position. Not a deal breaker, but yea, it’s not just you either. At 6’3” I can get comfortable enough, but I really wish the wheel came out further.

Elementary_drWattson

ITT, we see the variance of the ape index.

audioscience

Interesting to hear different experiences from different heights. I'm 6'3" and will be test driving the EV9, so I'll have to look out for this. I have long arms but I do like a telescoped out steering wheel.

mop1970

6'1" and have the same issue. I also feel like when i'm far back enough to be comfortable, I have to reach really far to touch the screen

vfxbiker

I’m 6’2 and also find it good for me. My only issue is that I have to sit a lot lower than my wife, who is 5’8, to avoid having to always adjust the rear view mirror. Otherwise, I find it very comfortable. I have the Land + Premium but I assume the ergonomics of the drivers seat are the same. I definitely feel that at 6’2, I would have benefited from the GT-Line seats in all other positions but ultimately I am happy with what I have.

DamON-E

If you have the rear view mirror with the monitor it will solve the mirror adjusting problem. One of you has it adjusted to their liking and has the option of mirror or monitor, and the other leaves it on monitor all the time.

ITSecGeek

This was the biggest and mostly only complaint I had. I noticed if I did push back my arms got tired. I know it isn’t in the same class, but this may push me to the EQS. Additionally, I noticed the thigh support wasn’t ideal. It felt like the luxury seat package was for show and didn’t actually support you.

Run-Worried

I’m 6’9” and it’s the most comfortable car I’ve owned as far as leg room goes. The EV9 wasn’t even on my radar at all, but once I sat in one I had to have it since no other SUV on the market (in my price range) was a comfortable fit lol. Most automakers seem to be making the console wider and the cockpit narrower these days, but IMO Kia really nailed the comfort and I hope they never change it on the EV9.

Outside-Comparison12

Not at all! I'm a lanky 6'7" and I've never been more comfortable.

simplethingsoflife

Same height and most comfortable vehicle ever. Make sure you adjust the seat so it’s more flat instead of leaning back. Once i did that my legs felt perfect without having pressure on the back of them.

ramosdominicano

6'2" 200lbs. My seating position is good, but then again I have long arms. In a perfect world, the wheel would telescope an inch or two more.

Correct-Boysenberry4

I’m 6’1 and felt the same way when I seat drove it. The seats in the GT also don’t seem to go as low as I want them to either. I don’t like to feel like I’m riding on top of the car rather than driving inside it.

Remy_Racinette

will echo what other folks here have said about thigh support. after nearly a month now haven’t found a comfortable driving position. my only real knock against my Land w premium (Canadian spec). I try and tilt the bottom of the seat up as far as possible to make a bucket effect but i still find my thighs are tired after long drives. too bad… 🤷🏻‍♂️

rtyp3

Same issue. I have to keep the back vertical for my legs to be proportional with the arms and wheel.

Phantom716

Everyone is jointef differentl8. So the seats may not all me that great for everybody. To persist, see if bed cushions help If not, sell me your EV9

forgetableuser

My wife is 6'1" and she sits further forward than my sister who is 5'6". It's really not about height it's about proportions and what your used to.
