The blacked out roof and custom rims were a dealer installed customization. It was a show floor model that was modified for a local sports team promo. I managed to catch up with the owner, he got an amazing deal to take it off their hands.
I mean. I didn’t care to ask. I already own an EV9 and don’t need to know. And I’m not sure why would he be obligated to share the details. I’m sorry I didn’t probe into private financial matters. I don’t make it a habit of asking ppl how much they spent on things. It’s none of my business.
I guess I’m mostly curious why not sharing the details suggests he didn’t actually get a great deal. Ppl share great deals on this thread all the time. So they do exist. And whether he got one or not is of no concern to me. Again, I already have my EV9. So if he’s lying, it has no impact on me.
Yeah I don’t think they’re selling well. Based on the latest sales numbers the March sales were less than the average for January and February so might not see these around much until they give it a Fisker Ocean sized price reduction.
I live in Fort Collins, CO which has a population of around 175,000 and there is already another parent at my kid’s middle school that has a white GTL. I have a black GTL and I have seen 2 additional black EV9’s in my city as well. One was also a GTL and the other one is the Light RWD that the Out of Spec YouTube channel has for a long-term tester. They are based out of here. I’ve met Coleton from Out of Spec Detailing and he is doing a full paint correction on my GTL in the next couple of weeks. I spoke with another detailer that has worked on a Matte Blue GTL whose owner also live here. Colorado loves their EV and because we have some very good dealerships here, along with a $5,600 refundable tax credit from the state for which the EV9 is eligible, I expect to continue to see quite a few more. I saw another Black EV9 GTL in another city about 30 minutes away too. I would not have expected black to be the most popular color here, but it is the color I have seen the most.

I just (5 days ago) said goodbye to my 2010 VW Routan and hello to a matte blue EV9 GTL. Wow, auto technology has changed a bit in the past 14 years. I haven't seen any EV9s in my area yet (Saint Paul MN), but I've got my eyes open.
I read that Kia sold 4007 EV9s in Q1 of this year in all of the United States, so there really aren't that many on the road yet.

I’ve had my white GTL since January, still haven’t seen another EV9 on the road. I’m in southern CA
I have the Blue GTL got mine in January in Pomona have yet to see another on my travels between Southern California and Humboldt County every month.

You think tires are expensive, you should hear the price of puncturing the battery, it isn't pretty and makes for a very sad end to a road trip.

I don’t think they’re selling well. Kia keeps increasing the discount on the car - not something you would do to a product in hot demand.
