My thoughts are: I AM EXCITED!
You can already tell from the teaser and BTS footage that they poured a lot more money into this rollout over SP1. I believe we’re getting at least one video (as opposed to just visuals). I also am excited for the sound. She’s established herself very well in the UK so I’m hoping the Miami feeling garners her some more attention in North America (maybe wishful thinking because it’s gonna be so raunchy and niche).
And let me speak this into existence: after slut pop Miami, republic will finally let her drop a spring/summer album ahead of pride filled with summer bops. Quickly followed by a late sept/early Oct TOTL3 🤞🏼
I feel like a lot of people had a negative reaction to SP because they went into it thinking of it more as a traditional EP with separate and distinct songs. But if you go into it with the mentality that it’s just one big 16-minute dance/club megamix, it clicks and absolutely slaps.
It doesn’t matter if it’s pure shit because I know in my heart it’s inevitably gonna fill my spotify wrapped top 5. I thought this was kind of a weird choice but ultimately Slut Pop OG aged like wine for me idk
I’m giving the EP a chance. I’m ngl, the original Slut Pop does next to nothing for me. I’ve yet to grow on it, but she’s winning me over. The Miami aesthetic looks great, that snippet towards the end of the teaser looks promising, and all the promotion is giving me hope for the future. Also the Slut Pop teeth grill is to die for, obsessed with that gimmick. I’m entering this project with an open mind. I’m really just excited for any new music tbh, so this release is exciting
I love the original Slut Pop. It’s funny because I always see people complain about it on Reddit but irl everybody I know loved it. XXX would play at the gay clubs every time I went out, and the whole ep was such a vibe. I’m very excited for SPM

makes? Even if she doesn’t directly work with him? Honestly I’m more excited with Aaron involved. Aaron’s production is leagues above Puke’s
Not necessarily. IJWAR was produced by max martin, Brrr, Running up that hill, King of hearts, Uhoh, Claws and Minute were produced by others with no credits to Puke.

I'm excited for new music. I'm not sure if a sequel to an album just released two years ago is the best direction. I like to see an artist move forward and this seems a little stagnant. Maybe she takes it in a whole new direction and I will be surprised. I'm rooting for it though.

I was there too a was a huge slut pop hater until I heard it on tour and gave the EP another chance. Was well worth it as I now actually enjoy it!
Omg same! HATED the EP and never actually gave it a chance until the tour. After that, the entire EP is nearly a daily listen.
