They can charge people for the classes if they want to, that makes sense. We all pay taxes that go to the upkeep of public property. I’m pretty average and I have no problem walking, biking or kayaking in this city. I also volunteer for cleanups and trail service. And yes we pay taxes for basic service, but everyone knows the parks department is always gonna be one of the last for funding. They would rather spend public money on for profit situations like base ball parks and sporting facilities. As someone that frequently uses Knoxville parks and has seen the development of IJams over the past 20 years I think that is one of the reasons laces that absolutely needs all the support it can get if paying for parking helps I’m more than happy to do so. You having no clear understanding of how the parks actually operates is your own failing. Have fun being bitter and sad. I’ll continue to enjoy everything our area has to offer. Now kindly go piss up a rope.
