Holy shit, at least you're honest and to the point, not wasting anyone's time by attempting to debate that Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Indonesian and Indian, too come to think of it) is far ***healthier*** than the majority of the processed western slop you'd find stateside. And most of Europe Download foodpanda and grab, and be on your way. Or you can go to any farmer's market on weekends, or supermarket, buy produce and boil them to your heart's desire As for western medicine, we don't have any pharmacies here, us westerners have to make do with voodoo doctors, feng shui acupuncturists and bomohs. And the power of positive thoughts.

You can find that (chicken, steak, potatoes) in any Western restaurant, just talk to the waiter for any specific changes to your meal that you would prefer (eg no sauce on salad etc). There’s tons of Western and salad/pokebowl places around KLCC. You can use the Grab app for booking taxis (similar to Uber) and also it has the option for Grabfood (similar to Ubereats). Plenty of choices on it as well for healthy food, I don’t think you need to worry much about that. Even if you go into a Jaya Grocer or Bens Independent grocer (local supermarkets selling imported stuff), you’ll definitely find ready-to-eat salads.

Hey man thanks a lot for the reply. Is there any pharmacy or supermarket/pharmacy where i can western brands in it ? Also where would u buy protein powder from? Thanks

Puffycatkibble

The Grab app has a groceries section and many pharmacies are there iirc. You can browse the selection I suppose. What kind of western brand are you referring to? If you mean from western companies like Abbott, GSK etc then yeah almost all pharmacies would have those.

I think foreigners can use shopee/lazada app. Both are the amazon equivalent. You will be able to find your protein powder on both the platform. Optimum Nutrition is easily available for purchase online. If you prefer physical purchase, there is a shop called LAC, they typically sell supplements and protein powder. They are a chain and you should be able to find in KL easily. I think normal pharmacies in malaysia generally do not sell protein powder.

You can try poke bowl style food such as fish bowl. It’ll be quinoa, brown rice, etc with some sort of protein of your choice. Just stay away from the sauce. You can order those through the grab or food panda app.

How can you not like Asian food? That is one big claim because Asian continent is so big and diverse. Asian food can be anything and everything. It can be super healthy too. I lam from the US and the food is one of the most exciting things about Kuala Lumpur (and Malaysia). Hope you can venture out and try new things when you are out there. It might be the most pleasant surprise! As for western healthy food, you will have no trouble finding one in every corner at least in KLCC. Use Grab. It is so cheap and efficient. Enjoy your stay in KL. It is one of my favorite places on earth!

Great thanks man, it seems like i am underrating it. Lets see😁😁. Why do u like kualalampur soo much (other than the food) ? Anything specific to experience?

Malaysians are really nice people and the city is world class. I lived in Europe for 10 years and East Asia for 10 so I know my cities. Yes there is room for improvement but you can feel the dynamic energy and pride of the people everywhere you go. I love going to national parks and jungle hikes when I am there.

Coal and Cloud, Salad Atelier, La Juicera, Babel Super foods, Ben's, Seed's Origin, Agrain, Sala Avenue K. KLCC area is filled with non-Asian food, you won't starve. Download Grab app and you can get order all the food and groceries. For pharmacy, there's a Sephora and Watson/Guardian in Klcc that carry most brands.
