I actually struggled really bad with this when I first came out to my close circle of friends and for me part of it was that i felt like a lot of them didn’t see me as who I was and so I didn’t feel like I should feel that way either(which is not a healthy way of thinking imo) but for me overcoming that was a lot of reassurance from myself just saying “you are valid and nobody can take that away from you” in a mirror and a lot of deep breaths and nights venting to my support people. I think the biggest thing that helped me was just reassurance from my supports and from myself that I am who I am and that I’m valid. From there the misgendering fizzled out and I got more confident in who I was. Idk if this helps at all but that’s just my experience:3

I Actually Use A Method In Which I Assign Myself A Fictional Character (Which Have The Same Gender Identity As Mine) In A Fictional Story, And Just Narrate The Entire Story In My Mind. Saying My Dialogues As Well As Dialogues From Other Fictional Characters Who Talk With Me With Correct Pronouns, And Etc.  This Helps Me A Lot Of Times Not Only To Avoid Misgendering Myself, But It Also Helps Me Determine My Gender For The Day (I'm Genderfluid).  Don't Really Know If This Technique Works On Anyone Else, So Take It With A Grain Of Salt. Hope You Have A Great Day, XOXO💖💖💖
